I remember last year on Booking I was looking for a room in Hong Kong for New Year's Eve. So many hotels "sewn" the rule into the system: when booking only for one New Year's Eve, Booking gave out the absence of free rooms, and when I changed the dates to, say, 12/30-02/01, free rooms suddenly miraculously appeared.
