This hotel came across to us by fortune. In principle, when you come to Tunisia and see rubbish everywhere and many closed hotels, you understand that 3 and 4 cannot shine here, in the country there is a tourist crisis, mainly Algerians and Russians, and a couple of percent Europeans. We arrived at 7 in the morning and they said that we should check in at 10-11 o’clock, and it happened, for a good room you can’t give money because the sea view is the gap between 2 hotels (it’s better that the room overlooks the street less noise from the animation).

In the Hotel, there is actually no staff speaking Russian, but everyone understands a little, they speak English and French.
The room is normal, it didn’t hurt to make repairs, but the air conditioner and refrigerator work, the room is cleaned every day and the shampoo is replenished. They didn’t hear about theft at the hotel, they themselves had a tablet in the room in a conspicuous place and money in a bag.
To the beach 100 m across the road (dirty beaches) there is a bar on the beach (beer, wine and drinks)
The food was normal, just a little, but there was always meat, fish, fruits and a lot of sweets.
At the bar, local drinks: whiskey, vodka, gin, vermucht, wines, beer.
Free wi-fi in the lobby

The first shock is the settlement. Waited 3 hours to end up in a dirty and smelly room, and among other things with terrible lighting. We went to the reception to change the room, the administrator told us that he couldn’t offer anything now, we decided to give money -10 dollars, since we hadn’t changed it to dinars yet.

He took the money and told us to come tomorrow at 10 o'clock. . . We didn't see him again. After the scandal, the number was changed to us, but what is called the awl was changed to soap. No view of the sea, just as dirty, and also below us the street and night discos. Sleep is impossible! everything rumbles until 3-4 in the morning, even earplugs didn’t help me! The staff is frankly boorish, they constantly extort tips, even where there’s nothing to give them. I haven't encountered this in a long time. In the bar, some incomprehensible shmurdyak is called a "Mix" cocktail. After trying 1 time, nothing else was taken there. The beach is about 500-700 meters from the hotel, the same unkempt and dirty - bottles, cigarette butts. glass and other "charms". In addition, you need to go to it through the shopping gallery, and then across the road along which cars drive. One day, my husband and daughter went to the beach before me, and when I went there alone from all sides, I heard: “Natasha, Natasha, beautiful, beautiful” and something else that I didn’t understand. It was very unpleasant. You feel like an animal in a zoo. In general, the attitude towards Russian tourists is, to put it mildly, inadequate. I would say discriminatory. This can be seen in everything - in the attitude, in the behavior of the staff and locals, even in the difference in service. And that's just humiliating. After a couple of days, we no longer wanted to stay there. Theft is on the rise! A large amount of money was stolen from the neighbors in the room, my husband told me that he suspects that several bills were pulled out of his wallet, and I'm sure that this was the case, we do not control every penny, but even if he noticed this, then pulled out for sure. I would like to remember something pleasant, we are optimists by nature, and believe me - there is nothing! Even the excursions were overshadowed by the bitter taste of local specifics. I don't even want to tell. The experience is very unpleasant. No more foot here! In general, I do not want any more Tunisia, Turkey, Egypt, and so on. Nothing compares to our native Crimea. For cleanliness, beauty and even service, and most importantly, you are among your people who speak Russian, otherwise there is no one in this hotel ! ! no one speaks a word of Russian, even out of respect for the Russian tourists who bring them money.

The Tej Marhaba hotel was advised to us by a travel agency as relatively inexpensive and comfortable. Reviews about him were very different, including very bad ones, but we liked the photos given on the Internet and we decided to take a chance. And yes, it has a good name. Tej in Arabic is "crown", and Marhaba is a chain of hotels, translated as "Hello! " We arrived at 2 am (the plane was 4 hours late), we were settled immediately without any additional payments.

Reviews about him were very different, including very bad ones, but we liked the photos given on the Internet and we decided to take a chance. And yes, it has a good name. Tej in Arabic is "crown", and Marhaba is a chain of hotels, translated as "Hello! "
We arrived at 2 am (the plane was 4 hours late), we were settled immediately without any additional payments. We were given a standard room with a large balcony. True, he went out onto the city street, but at night there was no particular noise.
The hotel area is large, there is a children's small pool, a large pool for adults, a pool bar, a hotel bar, a restaurant, a restaurant where you can eat in between main meals - all this is free for those who have an all-inclusive package.
This is a second line hotel, so the private beach is across the road - go there for 5-7 minutes. Sunbeds and mattresses for them are issued in the morning from about 7-00, and at 17-00 - 17-30 they are already being collected. In general, this beach is open, you can come there at any time, even at night. The sea is shallow, only closer to the buoys there is already some depth. The sand is white and clean, so even in a storm the water does not get cloudy. For children and those who swim poorly, this is just what you need.
The room has a double bed, wardrobe, 2 bedside tables, coffee table, 2 armchairs, 2 mirrors, TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, bathroom. There is a large balcony with a table and 2 plastic chairs. The bathroom has a sink, mirror, bath with shower, toilet. Everything worked great, no complaints.
It should be noted that in some hotels in Tunisia, refrigerators in the rooms are paid. Everything is free here, but the minibar is not provided.
The only thing is that there is not a single Russian-language or, at least, Polish channel, so they hardly watched TV. The room was cleaned daily. There is carpeting in the room and in the corridor, but the cleaners vacuumed it regularly, so it was clean.
The food in the restaurant was very good. Large selection of dishes from meat, vegetables, rice, pasta, fried potatoes, salads. Every day they gave watermelons, melons, plums.
There is such a nuance here (but this is the case everywhere in Tunisia, unlike, for example, from Egypt) that tea, coffee and drinks in the restaurant can only be taken for breakfast. For lunch or dinner, you need to take them at the bar or order from the waiter. It's free, but inconvenient, especially since the tea and coffee from the coffee machine in the bar was just awful, and good coffee was brewed only for breakfast.
In general, the hotel is very decent and suitable for families with children, and for youth holidays. It is located near the old city, where there is something to see. I recommend to everyone!

We were looking forward to this long-awaited vacation, so we had the most positive mood. rested in 4 ohm. At the entrance to the hotel, we paid money to be given a good room, our friends were immediately given a good room, and we were asked to wait, in the end we waited 2 hours until the room was cleaned. the room was cleaned, but the air conditioner did not work in the room, we did not complain until it started to drip, we were not in the room all day, flooded the carpet to such an extent that it was possible to splash. The front desk was quick to respond to our complaints. as a result, the next day, only this repairman climbed to the air conditioner, collapsed to the floor along with part of the ceiling from the air conditioner. after which we changed the number. But even there surprises awaited us. every time we wanted to enter the room, we had to look for a cleaning lady to open the door for us, since the card did not work. on the millet flight they drove us back and forth, they could not do anything with this door, and they did not want to change our number. in the end, after numerous scandals, we changed the room, and then only by the evening of the next day. in general, the attitude towards Russians there is certainly not very good. for lunch and dinner no glasses or spoons. constantly had to look for a waiter, and ask for water or spoons. mood of course spoiled. money exchange only 2 times a day for 2 hours. and half a day. The beach is very small, mattresses are paid. there is no animation at all, they dance like paralyzed, no asset, the people were not amused or raised. in general, of course, they spoiled our mood, but we had a super rest, the main thing is to relax with good company. but I do not recommend this hotel!
