we will rest at the palini beach hotel near kalithea - I don’t really want to go separately to Thessaloniki, but I would like to buy summer clothes and sportswear and shoes for the child. I heard that in Athens there are very cheap sports stores (maybe something like stock ones - buy branded football boots, a uniform, a tracksuit for a child). Is there something similar in Kallithea or do I have to go to Thessaloniki or Athens? thanks!!!

It's great that you're going to Pallini! We were there last year and we loved it! In Kallithea, there are mainly souvenir shops, fur coats and furs (in Russian, signs are special for Russo tourists). We did not pay attention to sports shops, maybe they are there. Shopping in Athens is VERY far away. Get busy. In Thessaloniki is more real. And I think there will be more choices. Kallithea is a small resort village. Everything is geared towards tourists.
