Is it worth going from Prague to Cesky Krumlov?
Hello! I am very interested in the question of all those who traveled around the Czech Republic - we are planning a short trip to the Czech Republic. is it worth going from Prague to the Hlyboka + Cesky Krumlov electives or not wasting time and spending it in Prague? the tour is small, you don't want to regret it later. thank you in advance!

Personally, I really liked Cesky Krumlov, I would definitely go there again. This is an amazing town, by the way, many Hollywood films were filmed there.

Need to go. The only way to see Prague was at least two days.

I recommend to go. If you have a week trip - a couple of days for Prague is enough, then go around the towns - very interesting.

I was in Krumlov only 4 hours (after the Hluboka castle) and left there with the confidence that I would definitely return there, but only with an overnight stay and myself (without a guide). This is a magical, fabulous town :) And wooden angels, bought in Krumlov in a wooden toy store before the New Year, delighted the eye all the holidays :)

And the works of Miroslav Paral next to his workshop ... Yes, just to see them, it's worth going to the Cheka!!!!!!!!!

Personally, I have something to compare with and I think that Prague and the Czech Republic as a whole is one of the very beautiful, interesting and informative options. For one vacation all the same all will not be laid down in a head. Ride, see, listen to the guide, and next time without a guide you will come to those places that you liked and remembered the most. The only thing I would exclude from your inspection is Dresden and Vienna. Excursions are good, but exhausting and short in time in the city of stay, you need to go, if only with an overnight stay or even leave it as a program of specific countries. There are so many things to see in the Czech Republic. Everything will be interesting if, of course, you are not used to lying on the beach with a burnt sandwich, and the sightseeing option of rest suits you.

Without Krumlov, you will not have the final idea of the Czech Republic. I would rule out Vienna and Dresden on my first visit. And if there is a choice between Karlovy Vary and Krumlov, then choose Krumlov, you will not regret it.

I agree with andreyvip, on a small trip from the Czech Republic it is physically difficult to go on excursions in Vienna or Dresden.
Krumlov is a very beautiful city. But if the choice is between him and Karlovy Vary, I would choose the second city.

It is very difficult to recommend where to go and where not to go when we do not know the author's tastes.
In a good way, you need to go there and there with an overnight stay, a few hours of a standard excursion is very little, especially for Krumlov. Although Krumlov is a small town, there is where to wander and take pictures, especially when the usual excursions subside, and in the evening sit in local establishments, drink beer and look at the city at sunset, this is generally something. And Karlovy Vary is also interesting, although it is still a resort town without an excess of attractions. Personally, a standard excursion was enough for me to swim in a mineral water pool, wander around the city and have lunch. By the way, the prices in Karlovy Vary for food compared to other places are quite biting, as it seemed to me.

thank you all for the recommendations. There is not even Vienna on this tour :) Dresden is optional, but I would go to it anyway. although former respond differently. there is no choice between K. Varami and Krumlov, they are on different days. It’s a pity for me personally to spend a day on K. Vary, it’s better to spend it in Prague. now I understand that Krumlov is a must. thanks!
