Who rested in the Carpathians in winter, help with choosing a place!
Hello)))
Beloved and I are going to go to the Carpathians in February 2015. We want to go skiing, so we are looking for a place where there is a ski slope (for beginners) and the ski lift is close (i.e. within 10 minutes on foot, so as not to get there by transport). In addition, of course, I also want to see the sights (we are most interested in natural ones); excursion possibilities.
We have never been to the Carpathians, so we are lost in the choice. Please advise where you like it. Thank you in advance)

Dragobrat is a great place for both beginners and professionals. The choice of hotels there is very large, it all depends on financial capabilities and requirements for the level of service. There are many slopes, lifts too - there are plenty to choose from, and not as expensive and crowded as in Bukovel. From personal preferences - the hotel "Bolshaya Medveditsa": close to all ski lifts, comfortable, clean, tasty, friendly staff.

If you are beginners, then it makes no sense for you to overpay for Bukovel or Dragobrat. In addition, due to the peculiar location, getting to Dragobrat, you in any case lose a day of skiing, even if you travel by night train.
You can choose Migovo, the resort is located closer, the hill is small, but well-groomed, and quite sufficient for beginners. The prices are very democratic.

Close to Bukovel Yablunitsa. What is called "why pay more". And the hill is not big, and there are places to see the surroundings, and there are cafes. As well as the rental of skis, equipment (we didn’t even drag jackets and pants with us, we rented everything). A new youth hotel opened there. Cheap and angry.

Vorokhta - and trails "for beginners", and the price is less, no need to overpay. There are ski rentals etc.

I recommend Izky. Read my review

In Izky, everything is nearby, a simple route.

I support xeops - of course - Migovo.
I don't know people who, having once tried their hand at skiing in Migovo, no longer go to ski resorts.
Also, it's an amazing place. Everyone who has been there once, even being an experienced skier, returns again - at least for a couple of days - to Migovo.

And, yet, this year we were in a new complex - they opened the season - the Carpathians Migovo. / http://krmigovo.com.ua/
The only plus, it is also a minus, the hotel is located "on the mountain" - opposite the Migovo complex itself. From your windows the slope will be visible, as "in the palm of your hand".
And, to Hetman - far to go. And, in general, as for me - this is the best hotel now.
аватар xeops
I don't know where it is in relation to the lift. And there are no prices on the website.
There was enough money to make a pool, but there is no longer a normal site.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm completely lost now. I looked through the information about Dragobrat - I liked everything: both the nature and the variety of trails and lifts, we decided to go there, but then I found out that I had arrived in the village. Yasinya, you need to order a car and climb the mountain, in the reviews they write that there is a very dangerous climb (right along the edge of the cliff) is everything really so serious there? I don't want to die on the road. Then I looked about Yablunitsa, but there are only ski lifts - is it good or not so good for beginners? It is inconvenient for us to get to Migovo, as we plan to travel by train. And yet, it is said that these places are inferior in price to other resorts, but according to information on the Internet there is no difference at all, prices are the same everywhere.

Hundreds of tourists travel daily on the road to Dragobrat. Yes, the sensations are extreme, but this is a great start to the holiday. And the place itself is magical. If you are not by car, and you are not worried about the long road, go to Dragobrat.
Apple tree is not an option. There are no snow cannons, so what you ride on will depend on the weather.

Thank you very much) According to the photos - I fell in love with Dragobrat and was only afraid of this road) That's it, now we will definitely go there!

Dragobrat is not for beginners!!!!!!!!!! Izki or Migovo are advised to you. In general, there are a lot of resorts in the Carpathians, you can choose. I also heard about the "Zakhar Berkut". There is one near Uzhgorod. Where you don't have to go is Bukovel and Dragobrat.
аватар lanos
There are snow cannons in Izky. Now it seems irrelevant, but it is important. Near Izky there is also Pylypets. Everything is close to the railway station.
аватар xeops
There are many blue trails on Dragobrat http://www.bookit.com.ua/img/objects/d0061a578b.jpg
and the red runs are not at all as red as on Trostyan or somewhere in the Alps. And there are even quite children's lifts for those who are just learning.
аватар xeops
That's just there was confusion with ski passes. The lifts had 3 or 4 different owners who could not agree on anything. I'm afraid that's how it is to this day.
аватар lanos
Let her decide. They are newbies. By the way, the message - "to not get far" is initially wrong, but you will understand this when you become experienced skiers.
аватар helena_fortuna
For xeops
1 Exit the Migovo complex, across the bridge on the left 10 and sharply up. This is a new complex - it was opened this summer. When they bought the tour, they thought it was lower houses.
2. But the conditions are gorgeous.
3. Prices - call them. We bought on the stock. But - will be more expensive "Mountain Dawn " and "Edelweiss ".
аватар helena_fortuna
- "not to get far",
still smtrela recently - for beginners slavskoe.
It's probably good there. And there is a ski school + 2 small slopes.
I can't find their website quickly.
But I found it on http://www.bookit.com.ua/object-slavskiy/.

Pension Slavski
аватар helena_fortuna
And on Dragobrat - There is always snow!
аватар lanos
Slavsko is not necessary. This is an old Soviet resort. It seems to me that there still smells of Soviet deputies. There next to it is "Zakhar Berkut". That resorts are unmeasured, I see.
аватар xeops
I would say "resorts" (in quotation marks) a lot. And we have one resort without quotes, unfortunately.
аватар hatinka
Dragobrat for beginners, IMHO, is not very suitable. If you are newbies and traveling with a group of friends, then yes. If you yourself and the first time in the mountains in general, it is better not to go there. You will still have time for Drag. It seems to me that for study both Migovo is normal, and Pylypets, and Zakhar Berkut in Slavske (not Trostyan, namely Zakhar Berkut), and Izky, and a resort in Plavia (right on the Kyiv-Chop highway). From Kyiv, I like those that are right along the railway - Slavske and Pylypets / Podobovets / 10-15 km from Volovets /. If you like to ride (and not everyone becomes ski / board lovers), then Drag, and Buk, and foreign countries)))
аватар helena_fortuna
Lanos - there, already, everything has been repaired for a long time.
In addition, they are well positioned now.
300 m. two lifts of low difficulty for beginners and experienced skiers with a length of 500m and 1500m.
And the price is not high - considering the 3 meals a day.
