Focus not on the hotel, but on the place you want to go to (mountains, entertainment, excursions, treatment), transport (public or you are on your own car) - in the Carpathians, the private sector is mostly called a "hotel" in the reviews, but that's all th only a house with a dozen rooms. Therefore, there are thousands of "hotels", they are almost the same. IMHO.
If you don't like it in one, you will immediately find another, just as "authentic". Especially in summer.

I have always been for the private sector. For the money that is torn off in hotels, you can live and eat and go on excursions if you rent a cottage from the owner. I was vacationing with my friends in the village of Mykulychin, Ivano-Frankivsk region. It's what you say. Calm family vacation. In summer the price was 50 UAH. per person Food separately, like 80 UAH. for two meals a day. The hosts are good and helpful. Conditions in the house are very good.
