Recommend options for a family vacation in Zakazpatye in the summer of 2013
For the first time this summer we were a family in Transcarpathia in Polyana. I liked it very much: nature, air, mineral waters, excursions... I highly recommend Shayany (not far from Khust)! There is a piece of paradise! Mineral springs, Clean air, very friendly. I can give you a phone number. Apartments where we rested (50 UAH per person) in the hotel from 150-400 UAH

I agree with leodarin - Shayan resort is a really good place in terms of nature. Especially in the last hour many private boarding houses, cottages were added.
Pump room with water mines is available for everyone. In the end, at the beginning of Shayan there is a free spill from the source (10 kopecks per liter, if I'm not mistaken).
Minus - for the whole resort only three medical bases:
- old sanatorium Shayan,
- medical rehabilitation center from the Ministry of Internal Affairs
- sanatorium Carpathia (at the end of the resort)
All of them are very scattered territorially. (within a radius of 2 km.) This summer it was almost impossible to squeeze in between their clients ... The resort is crowded like never before.
- Heavy transfer - by train to Mukachevo, and then more than 110 km. to Shayan by taxi (UAH 300-400)
It is possible from Lviv Solotvynsky to Khust, then a taxi to Shayan. (for a very long time because it goes around the Chop)
Were there for a few days, did not like anything offered in the private sector, moved to Sinyachok near San. Bruise.

Do you want any kind of resort? I had a rest with friends in the private sector in the Carpathian region (Ivano-Frankivsk region, Mykulychyn village), it was sooo cool there! Prices were 50 UAH. per person - 100 UAH. double room in a cottage with all conditions. Very beautiful nature, close to transport stops. You can go to the mountains and waterfalls. A wonderful family vacation in the sanatorium "Teplitsia", Vinogradov. Excellent food, clean air, mineral and thermal waters. There are animators who work with both children and adults. Hiking, excursions, picnics. Hospitable and sincere staff.

Yes, another plus is that vacationers of all ages (mostly) peace and quiet in the park. A real family vacation. And there are also several hiking trails marked on the trees in the open forest to the valley of pagan idols (1-2 km.) and to the waterfall (7 km.)
