Where to stay in Polyana with a child?
Good evening.
We would like to go with the child for the first time to drink mineral water in Polyana. Previously, we have always been with the same owners in Skhidnytsia, but in August there are no places. (If you are interested in questions about Skhidnytsia, I am ready to answer)
Tell me where you can stay with normal conditions (water, toilet in the room) and not very expensive? How are min. water? Are there centralized pump-rooms like in Truskavets or how in Skhidnitsa water flows directly from the pipe in different pump-rooms? How is nature there?
Maksim.

Maxim, I'm sorry, I'm a little off topic, but do you know that the water in Polyana has a completely different composition than in Truskavets and Skhidnytsia? And they drink it for other indications.

I agree that water is a completely different action. But doctors say alkalization of the body is useful. Everything you want from Polyana, you can get in "Sunny Transcarpathia". I recommend the hotel "Lileya". You can read my blog review on the topic of your request. I will answer any questions.

Thanks for the answers! As for water, as far as I understand, in Polyana they treat the gastrointestinal tract with water, and this suits us. (Of course, no one will drink water on their own, only after visiting a doctor) Truskavetsky or there are "wild"? Is there a fee for using the pump rooms? In Skhidnytsia, drinking water is a whole ceremony, a set of water, dry alcohol, heating, then into drinking bowls, a little wildly delighted with this! How about in Polyana?
I would also like to ask about Solochin, is it nearby? Where is better (cheaper) prettier?
Maxim.

We stayed in Slavutych Transcarpathia (you can read my review) there are two buildings, conditions (toilet, shower) in the room, the only difference between the buildings is that one has showers, the other has a bath. For the money, it’s not even very expensive (I have a New Year’s tariff in my review, so don’t equal it, it’s better to contact the hostess, she will tell you the price at the moment). As for water, in the case with a bathtub it is connected directly to the bathroom, you can take baths with mineral water. In the building where the showers are located in the corridor there is an automatic machine in which you can draw water at the temperature you need. Of course, there is also a pump room, it is located near the first building, you just need to go past the hospital and climb the stairs. The use of the pump room is free, come and dial, you choose the water temperature yourself.
Any more questions please ask :)

It is necessary to clarify the concept of Polyana. In the village of Polyana there are two sanatoriums - "Polyana" with water "Polyana Kupel" and "Sunny Transcarpathia" with water "Polyana Kvasova". The action of water is basically the same, but each has its own zest. On the territory of "Polyana" there is a pump room with varying degrees of water heating. For everyone, you can drink water and take it with you at the entrance to the territory of the sanatorium. In the "Solnechny" pump room on the territory of the sanatorium, admission is free, there is heated water and you can add magnesia to the water. Pump rooms are available in some hotels. The water tastes very pleasant, naturally carbonated. Each sanatorium has a mineral water plant. Not far from Polyana (about 2 km) in Solochyn is the sanatorium "Kvitka Poloniny" with Luzhanska water, but at the pump room you can try all the waters of Polyana. Entrance to the pump room is free. Infrastructure is better in Kvitka, worse in Polyana

I would recommend you to stop in the village "Karpaty" is 7 km. from a clearing, but it has a number of advantages compared to a clearing:
firstly, it is easier to get there (railway station)
secondly (and most importantly) there is a park of 14 in the mountains, which was created by Count Shenborn himself, a sea of plants (secular), a beautiful lake, an ancient castle, there is something to do in the evenings, especially if a child, then he will generally like it - the impression is that you fall into the aristocratic past))
And you can stay in the new hotel "Transcarpathian OASIS" with very good conditions, a pump room with mineral water already heated to 40 degrees is free.
By the way, a source (beauty) runs in the park, the water is saturated with glycerin and has a very beneficial effect on the skin (rejuvenates)
Read about this place - very good - everything is in the mountains in ancient trees, and in the clearing you are like in a city - a bunch of houses, frantic traffic, low rural trees (fruit trees) to mountains (real ones) with half a km. )

I offer Solnechnaya Polyana, their website http://zakarpatje.com.ua/. There are enough reviews on Turpravda (including mine). Quiet, comfortable, cozy, green, delicious, the attitude of the staff is simply amazing (as for our country).

Good evening.
Many thanks to everyone for the help.
I have a couple more questions about Polyana, how is the weather there in the first half of August, do you need warm clothes?
What type of clothing is needed? For example, in Skhidnitsa, so to speak, the dress code is very simple, there is a village, there are enough sneakers and sportswear. In Truskavets, when I was relaxing with a child, everything is different, everyone is so fashionable, well-dressed, especially aunts 50 years old.
I would also like to know how much a taxi costs from Svalyava to Polyana, do they sell water bowls there, or should I take my own?
Maxim.

I can't say anything about the weather, but I think it's warm. My child was resting with his grandmother in July, it was very hot during the day, but in the evening it was still cool (mountains). "Aunts of about 50" are dressed fashionably, in my opinion in any health resort. Polyana is a big village. And "Sunny Transcarpathia" and all the surrounding hotels are still a few kilometers from the meadow (even more wilderness). So choose your dress code. Sporty and comfortable in my opinion better. But if you want to show off outfits - it's up to you. Taxi from Svalyava to Polyana in October-November 2009 was 30 UAH.

I have been going to Truskavets since I was 20. As before I went there in sneakers and jeans or a tracksuit, and now. Elegant resort aunts are a special category, there is absolutely nothing to pay attention to them :) The first time I was also amazed - one in the afternoon, heat, a "promenade" near the lower pump room. On the benches along the boulevard, sanatorium peasants are sitting waddling, pretty moth-eaten, sorry, in stretched sweatpants, flip flops, poking their gold teeth and looking condescendingly and approvingly at the passing ladies, occasionally releasing some thoughtful compliments. AND LADIES!!! Remember, it's one o'clock. Evening make-up, heels, PLUSH DRESS WITH BACK BACK in vigorous shades, perm, drinkers coquettishly settled in hands. Tin, in short.
In recent years, I see that this species is slowly dying out ... It's a pity.

Transcarpathia will not be cold, Sunny, but count on rain.
Polyana is not Truskavets and not even Morshyn, there is no one to charm. If you don’t organize your leisure time, then it’s even boring. Nature is awesome, there is something to see and go to see it is not a problem, there are offers. Clothes are practical and sporty. For a taxi from Svalyava paid from 20 to 40 UAH. depending on the time of day or if you agree with the driver to meet at the station.
аватар V_STR
Bus station in Svalyava not far from the railway station. Passing by the railway there is a minibus to "Solnechny". The resort has a 24-hour taxi service. If you want to arrange to be met, I can give you a phone number.

I agree with the previous comments about clothing. There are ladies who go almost in concert dresses, the rest mostly go in comfortable clothes, because. if you want to take a walk in the woods or go on any excursion, sportswear is more suitable. But just in case, of course, take at least one ceremonial outfit, you never know :)
As for the weather, I was in August, it was hot there during the day, cool in the evening, something like the weather in the Crimea, there was no rain then.

Good evening.
After reading information here and not only here, we chose "Lileya" for the first trip to Polyana. I'll be leaving soon, as soon as I arrive I'll write a report + photo.
Before leaving, I wanted to clarify on nutrition in Polyana.
Can anyone tell me a normal institution, with normal prices? (In principle, we are planning to eat at "Lileya", but we also want to go somewhere else) Also interested in the question of who is better to buy excursions?
Are there souvenir stalls in Polyana and where?
And finally, a question about Schönborn Castle, is it worth going there and how to get there from Polyana?
Maxim.

Leela is a good choice. Normal rooms, delicious diet food, own pump room, cozy courtyard above Pynya (which can be "violent" - I saw it). You should not become attached to the dining room "Lilea" for the whole day - we took only breakfast. The season is fruits, berries, honey, dairy products - I want to try everything and see everything around, but this takes time. On the territory of the sanatorium there is a pizzeria where they cook many other dishes, delicious pastries, I recommend. From the pizzeria, having risen directly to the sanatorium, the area for the sale of souvenirs and other sundries begins. Excursions in Transcarpathia, it's just a transport delivery to the "place", so it will be cheaper to use the services of private traders, who are attracted by the "guides".
You can get to the sanatorium "Karpaty" in three ways: by taxi (100-150 UAH), by minibus to Svalyava and further towards Mukachevo to the san. "Karpaty", and, in principle, from Svalyava by train to the station "Karpaty". On the territory, in addition to the castle, there is a small zoo, a souvenir market and a good square with a lake outlined in the form of a map of Austria. Join the tour and learn the whole story "about love and sorrow."
Transport stop from "Lileya" 50 meters.

Thank you for your reply. Since you have already been to Lileya, may I ask a few more questions?
Did you pay on the day you checked in or when you left?
(receipts for cash payments are issued?)
In the dining room of Lileya, is food tied to time and a specific menu? Or you can come in any time and eat to your taste?
How is it in Polyana with grocery stores and a market?
Can you buy homemade products (cottage cheese, feta cheese, smoked meats) there, or do you have to go to Svalyava?
Maxim.

We arrived in the evening, and paid the next day in the morning when the cashier appeared. Immediately issued a check and a receipt. Unfortunately, they do not have discounts - you can stay at least for one day, at least for ten. We were 18 days and could throw off 5%. Meals are strictly on time for one hour. If you eat regularly, then you can order dishes to your taste. There are a couple of shops on the territory of "Sunny" and a small food market. There are shops in "Polyana" and the grocery market is a little cheaper.
We went to Mukachevo three times by minibuses, looked at the city, stopped at the Karpaty sanatorium, at the grocery market and stocked up to the fullest - 1 liter. a jar of blackberries 2-4 hryvnias, cottage cheese kusishche 4-6 hryvnias, sour cream for cottage cheese 2 l. bank (the seller did not have another) 20 UAH, dried porcini mushrooms 3 l. jar 120-150 UAH (borscht was cooked until spring), ground paprika, honey, blueberries 10-15 UAH. 1 l. bank - well, how to stay here. Everything was kept in the fridge. We went twice to Uzhgorod for sightseeing and did not return empty-handed either.

In Polyana we stayed at the Hotel Katerina***. It is in the Polyana itself. Near the huge hotel and River. Very good rooms. But there is no full kitchen. Excellent sauna and large swimming pool, cable car to the mountains. From the railway, they take a taxi for free. Nice girls serving staff. Rooms must be booked in advance.
