Each time, we are surprised that in 99% of cases, the authors of negative reviews show such persistence. And the negative reviews that begin with the phrases are especially upsetting - "I had a good rest so many times, but this time ..." and this is the first review for the author.
We have such a mentality - the motivation to write a negative is much higher than a positive one. We are gloomy.

Hello!
I agree with admin.
I propose a ban on negative feedback, if it is the first!
аватар jabetta
And I believe that there should be no prohibitions, otherwise the site will lose all meaning. For example, I do not even understand the ban on links to similar sites (healthy competition is always useful). And the fact that those who have had a bad rest are more eager to fight is understandable. For a spoiled vacation, I want to take revenge and, as soon as possible.
аватар helena_fortuna
Jabetta if you follow your logic, then ...become sad.
If a person is able to describe the negative, then why not write where he liked it? those. compare?
And revenge?... THE EARTH BALL IS ROUND.....
аватар jabetta
helena_fortuna: Well, don't take my words so literally (about revenge). I just can understand a person who has their vacation ruined. I am glad for you that you do not have such experience, you are lucky.
Vikiviki will have happy reviews, as well as others who write on this site for the benefit of everyone and we will read them with pleasure.

Bad reviews are not revenge, they are a warning to other tourists! I personally find them even more useful than the good ones. For several reasons: good reviews are very often custom, it is always better to be warned in advance of possible problems if there is no way to avoid a trip with obviously bad conditions. And most importantly, what a person describes as a disadvantage, and sincerely and with indignation, can be an undeniable advantage for me. For example, an offended teenager writes that the X hotel is boring, lame and retired, without discos and animation, then I know for sure that I need to go there :))) But looking at the wikiviki pictures, I understand that in the Karpaty " I do not need.
аватар nadin65
Reviews should be both good and bad.
The bad thing is that people, having had a good breath, do not consider it necessary to write this, they do not want to share a delicacy, so to speak.
But they will write about the bad on the first day of arrival, they say what kind of G.
Write more, in more detail, more truthfully and confirm with photos - this is not enough for tourists like me.

Reviews should be informative and as objective as possible. Objectivity here means the subjective opinion of a REAL tourist. Those. a real tourist presents information with a minimum of emotions.

And not everything is as simple as, for example, Pachok believes.
Negative reviews are also custom-made. Especially often we encounter this in CIS hotels. And positive custom reviews are also a good symptom - the hotel is fighting for a positive opinion about itself. And as a rule, it starts in his real work, and then on the Internet.
A small touch from our practice. A woman wrote a review - women's jewelry from the room was stolen from a friend on vacation, poor service, poor food, everything is bad. A week later, she sends a letter - she called her friend, she found jewelry, lost in a suitcase, in principle, the hotel is not bad, please delete the review. And how many of these did not write? And how many accounts do we have with one review? What is the motivation for such people to write this single review?
аватар admin
Or more examples. A person wrote a negative review. We posted. The hotel sends a letter - this review is slander that damages our business, we demand to remove it, otherwise we will go to court. We answer - the responsibility for the information lies with the author of the review, we will require him to confirm his stay at the hotel and data for possible legal claims. In all our practice, NOT A SINGLE author of a negative review has provided his data. The reviews had to be removed. Two questions immediately follow from this:
Is it possible to believe all the negative reviews;
Why are our tourists so anonymous?
But to accuse turpravda of subjectivity is a favorite pastime of our negative people.

Quote from today's letter to our support:
"it means you are interested in deceiving tourists. and therefore I will post information about this with your answer attached on all blogs of tour operators"
аватар Pachok
"- why are our tourists so anonymous?"
Do you really not understand? The tourist's vacation was ruined, and then let's prove that you are "not a camel" :( Why does he need this?
"- is it possible to believe all the negative reviews;"
Of course, everyone can not, as well as positive. But, in general, you can almost always see a real review or not. For example, wikiviki has photos and sincere text, I believe this review.
аватар admin
I really don't understand why EVERYONE is anonymous.
I'm surprised you understand this. We have seen here more than once your struggle for the improvement and development of tourist self-awareness.
By themselves, the subjects of tourism activities will not improve. The main stimulus for their development and improvement is the demanding consumer. And here anonymity is a fig leaf, a whisper from around the corner. If you cannot protect your rights, you cannot demand quality service.
We all want to improve the quality of our lives. But at the same time, the anonymous person thinks - let others fight for it, and here I will anonymously write a complaint and scold the truth.
And the wikiwiki review was not discussed here. The activity of negative people was discussed, which dries up after writing the first review.
аватар Pachok
@If you can't defend your rights, you can't demand quality service.@
Agree. But many people really cannot protect their rights. Either they do not want to, or there is no time, or the character is soft, or they are not sure that they are right. It's easier to let your emotions out. The result will not be the restoration of their rights, but a warning to other consumers. And this is very important. It is often easier to avoid trouble than to fix it.

Here's a fresh one: from January 3rd to 5th, I lived at the Howard Winchester Hotel in London, near King's Cross Station. On the site, whose name is not mentioned here, the rating of the hotel is not low at all and the reviews are mostly positive. What happened in reality - the size of the room is about 8 meters, the walls are not soundproofed at all, it is very dusty, the ceilings creak deafeningly, the beds are narrow and short, the breakfast is greasy and tasteless. In addition, dark-skinned receptionists entertained themselves with small talk right under our windows until three in the morning, or, to put it simply, blacks laughed loudly and chatted on the phone. And now I'm seriously thinking about leaving a negative review on the site-whose-name-is-not-mentioned. For people who like me are going to choose this hotel because of its proximity to King Cross train station. And I haven’t written any other reviews there yet, and I don’t have an incentive to write them, since the audience there is somewhat specific - the low price, for example, is such a huge plus that it outweighs all the minuses :)
Another observation from the "forum" life - to be "good", you have to praise everything! :)

And we do not want to be a site for splashing out emotions.
We want to be a site that influences the development of the market. The review should be useful for readers, not for writers. The author performs his social function. And this is a high status. That's why we call the best "experts". And we don't care about negative reviews.
Already wrote -
"Reviews should be informative and as objective as possible." And what it is - negative or positive - this is already a derivative of informativeness and objectivity.
аватар Pachok
But no one takes seriously reviews like"everything is bad, all fools ". And, for example, insects in a room or broken furniture - is this an objective assessment, especially if with photographs? And to expect that the one who wrote about it, be sure to leave another, positive review for another hotel ... well, strange. This is a personal matter of the writer.
"We don't want to"
This is your site and you make the rules. You can set limits. For example, accept reviews only from those registered at least a month (six months, a year) ago, do not accept reviews whose veracity is in doubt, etc.
And don't you have accounts with one review, but positive?
аватар ilika15
beginner's opinion: very often the impression of a holiday depends on the amount of money invested, hence the degree of negative or positive in the review (they paid so much, but the return is not what they expected for this money ... or - for those pennies that they paid, a great holiday and defects are not visible). and one more thing - we really liked the bella vista hotel in hurghada, but in the title of its description for a very long time there was a photo of a person bitten by mosquitoes, as if only in this hotel the mosquitoes were afraid to go, an unpleasant impression
