About food. Ark Restaurant-Brewery (Ternopil)
I won't even lie. Visiting the Ark was a planned event in Ternopil. And it was just a hit in the top ten.
The restaurant is located on a cozy green street A. Zhivova right next to Topilche Park. Territory area is compact. In the evening the parking lot (small) is full.
When you first get there, at first you even forget that you are hungry. Because first you need to take pictures of everything and take pictures with all the transport and other objects in the yard.
Then you need to repeat the same inside. On 3 floors. At the same time, the staff does not mind, even if you just look like a tourist. And if you need to show and tell something in more detail, they will do it right away.
If your visit to the "Ark" is caused not just by aesthetic considerations, but by a reasonable desire to qualitatively quench hunger and thirst, then you fall into the arms of the hostess. They accommodate guests in one of the halls. And then the waiters talk to you. But be vigilant! They are so delicious (literally) about the food served here that it is not easy to refrain from eating. Impossible. As a result, each visit involuntarily becomes Robin-Bobin-Barabek : )))
Unfortunately, this bitter fate befell us. We came with the intention of sipping soup. They chose Zhurek (although in the menu he is listed as "Zhuryk", which did not affect his taste). And so, at the moment of a choice the fatal mistake was made. At first they chose beer. Here they cook it themselves. Light, dark, with coffee, with honey ...We chose wheat light. They chose soup for the beer. For soup - snacks (vinaigrette and herring).
For snacks, as usual, the main dish (bramborak).
Then I went to photograph the interiors.
Our waiter caught me on the stairs with the words: "Go eat zhurek! ”. And we left. When I saw the scale of the disaster, it was too late to retreat. And starting with a compliment from the chef - a toast with hot sauce, then I have poor control over both the order eaten and its quantity.
Everything was incredibly delicious! That is, each subsequent dish was not just wonderful. It was a masterpiece. Both the taste and the serving (for example, herring is served in a can, garlic croutons - in a tin bucket lined with paper, bretzel - on a knotty tree, and beer for a large company - in a cylindrical flask) - everything was spectacular and pleasing to the eye. brain and stomach. Have you ever seen white mushrooms the size of half an apricot in a regular vinaigrette?
Did you eat bramborak, or potato pancakes baked in a portion pan in a creamy sauce with fried onions and mushrooms?
Are you a beer of pleasant rye taste, with such a soft sourness? Here we got something that does not happen often: a gastronomic experience. We were impressed with the food. I wanted to eat all this splendor at the same time, and drink everything at once, then eat again, and drink again))).
The check for all this gastronomic arbitrariness was only UAH 400. (about 14 euros), of which 60 hryvnias. (2 (! ) Euros) was beer: ) Including the news (we took with us, because on TV in the evening was football Shakhtar - Dynamo). And the next day they came again for a beer to buy home.
I also really liked the fact that the musical background is present as a background. I didn't even notice she was at all. And I was sure that the music did not play there at all.
And only my counterpart - the second unfortunate glutton - explained to me later that the music was.
The institution is definitely worth a visit. One bad thing. I don't want to eat for a long time after the Ark. Day. Or two))).
