Where to buy in Sharm and how to prolong a visa?
We bought a tour to Sharm, but decided to stay in Sinai for another 2 months. Now there is a Sinai stamp in the passport. Where to buy in Sharm and how to prolong a visa? That is a total of 2 weeks. + 8 weeks one-time visa extension. Can we extend the visa by going on an excursion to Israel. Tell me what's the smarter way to do it?

You put a Sinai stamp, it is valid for 2 weeks. The visa will give you the right to stay in Egypt for 1 month. If you have not stayed 2 more weeks from the Sinai visa, you can go to the airport and buy a visa for 1 month ($25). If you have already been here for 2 weeks and want to extend your visa, the best way is to go on an excursion to Israel and then, upon your return, buy a visa ($ 25) at the Egyptian border and make sure that it is stamped. If you don’t want to go on an excursion, then you are on your way to the visa department of Sharm, where you write an application for a visa extension. You will be stamped in your passport and await a decision on your case. It's hard to describe all the details. If you need to write in a personal, I will give you my phone number and I can explain everything in more detail.

In principle, Orbittours described everything quite accurately.
The only thing - in the visa department of Sharm (in Nabq) they extend ONLY a full visa for $ 25. That is"Sinai stamp " do not renew in principle. If 2 weeks have not passed since arrival, then"blow " to the airport to buy a visa. BUT: the first visa extension after a paid visa will be for 1 month only. Then you need to go to the visa department again and get a number. After about 10 days, you will need to drive to the other side of the city for an interview with the secret police. If you pass the interview, then wait for your documents to be sent to Cairo, and then back to Sharm to the visa department. Then you go there - already put a visa in your passport. Moreover, all this time it is considered that you are in the country WITHOUT a visa, even if you have passed the interview (and you will still pay a fine when leaving in this situation). In fact, it turns out that by the time this visa is put in your passport, its validity period has already expired and you have to start all over again.

In general, extending a visa in Sharm is a thankless task. I would even say irrational. The bureaucratic machine in Egypt is capable of crushing anyone. Waste time, nerves and money.
It is relatively simple, indeed, to leave for Israel before the expiration date of the"Sinai stamp", buy a visa, and then renew it once a month at the visa department. Then it will turn out: $ 25 visa + the cost of an excursion to Israel + the cost of a taxi to the visa department and a few Egyptian pounds for the extension itself.
BUT: if you do nothing at all (provided that you do not leave Sharm), then upon departure, simply pay a fine of 150 Egyptian pounds (less than $ 20) without any additional sanctions.
So decide if you need this very extension.

If 2 weeks have already passed from the moment of arrival, and you have a Sinai stamp, then it is already useless to go to the airport for a visa: they will not give you one.

Thanks a lot for your replies.
Is it possible to avoid the bureaucracy with visa extension: a Sinai stamp, then a few days before the end of the stamp, go to the airport and buy a visa for $ 25, then a few days before the end of the visa, go to Israel on an excursion and, upon returning at the border, buy a new visa for $25?

Sergioy, you can do it. But here's the catch. The visa that you buy at the airport will not be valid from the moment you buy it (a few days before the end of the "Sinai stamp"), but from the moment you arrive. That is, it doesn’t matter whether you buy it immediately upon arrival or then go to the airport specially - a visa for $ 25 will be valid for 1 month from the moment of your arrival. Then you can go to Israel and buy a new visa, which will give you 1 more month. But where to get 2 more weeks? It is believed that at the end of the visa, 2 weeks are given to leave the country without a fine. Here I can’t say for sure - as far as I remember, this time is given only for leaving the same way as the last time they entered. That is, in our case, through Israel. But at this point, I'm not sure.

And for what such a headache? February and March are not the best months to visit Egypt. What is there for 2 months?
