Is it worth going on an excursion to Sofievsky Park in Uman from Odessa for the whole day?
We are going to May from 1 to 6 in Odessa. I am compiling an itinerary. I saw that there are all-day excursions to Umansky Park. Is it worth spending a whole day on a trip or is it better to spend an extra day in Odessa? I just wanted to visit Uman for a long time, but it is unlikely that I will ever purposefully go there from my city.

A few hours will be enough for a tour of the park) But I recommend visiting there!

The fact is that the excursion is from Odessa. It will take 4 hours to get there and back. Departure at 7 am and return at 9 pm. Here the husband is just against it because of the long move.

From many cities of Ukraine there are one-day tours to Uman. Look at the exits from your (or nearest to you) city and drive separately.
My opinion is that out of 6 days in Odessa (and even if you take into account the day of arrival-the day of departure), you should not spend a day in Uman.

It’s worth visiting Sofiyivka! One day will take you to the park, you won’t notice! Plan your own trip after the completion of the program in Odessa, and from Uman - home. I haven't been to the park in the spring. It's beautiful in summer or fall.

I was in the spring, the park is beautiful. Definitely worth a visit if you don't plan to get out of your city there.

Yes, why is the road calculated for 4 hours? We traveled from Kyiv to Odessa for 5. Has the road already been paved like that?

Oleksii64 wrote: "it's not worth spending a day on Uman" I agree, there is no Uman, it's worth the park! I myself am from Uman and have been to the park, you know how many times))) But anyway, every time I am in the park I enjoy its beauty. The park is beautiful at any time of the year!

Thanks a lot for the replies!
Oleksii64, from Donetsk there are tours to Sofievka, by train, by the time of the day there and back, and costs about 500 UAH.
Pachok, at the expense of 4 hours, the information was taken from the site of the organizer of this excursion, everything is scheduled there by the hour. It may be faster by car, but here by bus.
A friend brought me postcards from this park of all seasons, the park is very beautiful.

"Sofiyivka" is something. She draws to herself those who have already been there and those who have only heard about her. Been there twice, both times with a guide. This park is worth seeing. I don’t know how you endure the road in the bus, but if it’s normal, then it’s worth going and seeing.

If you decide to travel, you won't regret it! The park is amazing! You just need a guide, they are pros there. If you are sure that there will no longer be an opportunity to see this beauty, then do not even doubt the park is worth it!

Thanks everyone for the advice! We still visited this beautiful place! Impressions from Sofiyivka are probably even brighter than Odessa ones.
The road is excellent in time 3.5 hours with a 15-minute stop in one direction. The only thing that upset me was the last places in the minibus (like a sprinter), it’s good that I managed to move forward, otherwise for the first hour and a half I felt all the vibrations of the wheels.

Better on a wheel in a sprinter 3.5 hours than in a bus 5 hours.

The park deserves your attention and each season is beautiful in its own way, and the road from Odessa takes 3 hours.

Of course, the park is beautiful, and at any time of the year it is worth going there and enjoying nature. True, you are not always lucky with a guide, there are bores and they tell you uninterestingly, and the road from Odessa takes only 3 hours.

It is worth going once to understand for yourself whether it was worth it or not. It is not clear why the entrance fee is taken - the reservoirs are not cleaned because it is expensive, the swans are hungry, the ducks are ready to walk on water for crumbs of bread, the paths are repaired in the Ukrainian style, whether you like it or not, no one cares. Yes, there is a lot of greenery and different places, there are still copies of statues of Greek gods, it is not clear which side they are there and why do the names of the park objects bear names from Greek mythologies, do we really not have our own history? Not a single place in the park that would take your breath away and make you think that it was worth seeing. The park is like a park, like many in the country for which funds are not allocated or for which funds do not reach. It is possible to make a really beautiful place out of what is, but for this you need to work .. In the meantime, there is something to eat. Many say that it is wonderful and beautiful, it is a pity that we have such a low level of understanding of the beautiful, nature is beautiful in itself, but we need to help her in this.

The park is cool! Immediately sets up for rest. Many different locations and comfortable lawns with benches. It is better to come in the morning, because by noon there are a few people. And if you are hungry a second time, I can advise you to try the products of Uman Bakery, they have one of the most delicious and fresh breads I have ever tasted. In short, I highly recommend! Do not regret it!

If you have not been to Sofievsky Park in Uman, do not even think about it, be sure to go!!!!!
