If you rent an apartment near the Gogol sanatorium, then the beach is free, but they never asked for a book for swimming and sunbathing (we really rested in the sanatorium) But even when we arrived, no one asked. And we went to the pump room without books (unlike Mirgorod resort, in which they are not allowed into the pump room without a sanatorium book)
