Tours from Lviv for 3-5 days cost between 50-180 euros per person. The main thing is not to take Accord tours. There is a big chance to fly)
аватар zolyshka111
Went several times Accord, everything was fine. I will go with them again next year. By myself, I’ll say that approximately as much is spent there as the tour costs, well, plus or minus.
аватар ollennka
Why is there a travel agency at all? Only 50 km to the border.
аватар lupanarius
zolyshka111, I also went with them 4 times and I can say that this is a problematic company. They sin by canceling tours, canceling excursions. They always have problems with the bus because they rent it. It is better to pay extra and go with a normal operator, if you want.
аватар zolyshka111
lupanarius, for example with whom?
аватар zolyshka111
ollennka, walk to the border and walk there too, not everyone has a car, and gasoline is not cheap? Looking for housing, transportation, etc.? He knows, it's better to pay 60 euros and all this is organized by specially trained people.

Hello!
I hope the information that I have at least something will help you, although it is almost 10 years old.
I went on bus tours to Europe from Lviv from three Lviv travel agencies - Galekspotour (2006), Algol (2007, 2010), Mist-Tour (2009). All three times I was very pleased with the tour program and service.
The first of these two travel agencies already seems to have ceased to exist, and the third continues to work.
Have a nice holiday!

zolyshka111, why on foot? As far as I know, quite comfortable trains run between Ukraine and Poland, it is much better than a bus tour for 40 people, when everyone runs after a guide with their tongues on their shoulders, not having time to really see anything around. I myself went on a bus tour in my student years, I remember very well how it all works.

ollennka, well, you arrived in Przemysl for 38 euros, only there, and then where and most importantly for how much? I'm going to ng with them to Krakow and Prague, I paid 86 euros for the tour. If you organize all this yourself, believe me, it will be more expensive and more stressful. And so I paid 86 euros, a passport in my hands and no problems.

Thank you all very much.

to organize all this yourself, believe me, it is more expensive and more stressful
)))) I won’t believe it, sorry, as a person who has experience in both bus tours and independent trips.
аватар zolyshka111
Well, do not believe it, your right. Only you can’t organize a weekend on your own and comfortably in Europe for 60-70 euros.
аватар ollennka
zolyshka111, I believe, I do not believe, we are not playing a game. I'm talking about my real travel experience. As for 70 euros for a weekend, this is not our reality at all (((for such a price, you can’t leave Russia for Europe either by bus tour or on your own. Well, except from St. Petersburg to Finland. Everything is much cheaper there, whatever one may say .

I also have experience of bus tours, I traveled from Lviv (also from Kyiv). The price of the trip depends on which countries the tour is in and for how many days (since different EU countries have different hotel prices), and also depends on the number of night trips (the more the cheaper, but also more tedious). Regarding the cost of the tour also consider the expenses on the tour itself, they correctly said above that you can spend as much as you gave for the tour and more, since many tours are put up for sale without the cost of mandatory excursions, like 150 euros, and then 40 euros went here, 20 euros for carablic, 10 euros for a hot spring, etc. It is also worth considering food, since only breakfasts are included, and moving mainly to tourist places at these prices, and gas stations along the way, also with expensive prices. at sanitary stops (every 3 hours), otherwise you come across a group of rednecks for the whole bus, they eat in the cabin, and fellow travelers sniff :(

It’s better to use the middle ground, not go to the places where the guide drags (he has kickbacks there), but go for a walk through the neighboring cafes, or go to Mac. If there is a supermarket near the hotel where locals buy up - good luck, you can buy decent products at good prices. Regarding the comparison with a trip on your own, then my opinion is that you need to go on your own from a week or more, always by car (your own or rented) with races to "non-pop" places, and if for 3-5 days then either a sightseeing tour (where, although they will gallop away, they will take care of all organizational issues) or a low-cost airline there - back for a weekend walk around some major city in Europe with its environs. Plus, tours still find that when visiting museums or attractions, the group has priority over singles. For example, a visit to the Vatican, while standing in line at the entrance (more than three hours), four people clung to us (agreed with the guide), as one of them said - in Rome the fifth day,
аватар Alex714
but I can’t get to the Vatican. It can also be attributed to the plus of the tour, the ease of visiting another country for people who have never been anywhere and don’t know the language, although it’s sad to look at them when they give half a day of free time, and they trample around the place where the group gathers this time , afraid of getting lost, or they look at you like a wolf when you come to the bus exactly at the agreed pick-up time, and they have been sitting in it for 3-4 hours and have to wait for you while you walk, but you need to urgently go to the hotel to watch TV and fall on the bed, In short, there are pluses and minuses.
аватар zolyshka111
Well, fellow travelers on the bus is a different story)))) here you can’t guess at all. Although, I was probably lucky, but mostly I came across good fellow travelers. I never take additional excursions at all, only those sightseeing tours that are included in the price. I myself make routes, places, establishments in advance. Let's just say that bus tours are a cheap way for me to see Europe and get to places that are hard to get to on my own.
аватар Alex714
According to travel agencies from those whose services I used:
Accord is inexpensive.
DAV club - medium price category.
Extravaganza - more expensive than competitors.
Now I am making plans for the spring on a sightseeing tour with a ferry to the Baltic countries with the DAV club, but on NG, until we have come up with nothing, we are thinking about Prague, although we have already been there more than once.

"I never take additional excursions at all, only those sightseeing tours that are included in the price." - If the tour is not obligatory, I don’t take it either, it’s better to take a tour myself, but there are inexpensive tours provided that you buy several suggested excursions, well, or in the case, as I wrote above, “I also find a plus for tours when visiting museums or attractions with a group there is priority over loners." and you wrote "to get to places that are difficult to get to on your own" I definitely buy such excursions.

"Well, the fellow travelers on the bus are a different story)))) you can't guess at all. Although, I must have been lucky, but mostly the fellow travelers came across good ones." I agree here - there are pleasant people with whom it is fun to communicate, but personalities that are not very pleasant can also be squeezed in.
аватар ollennka
And what are the places in Europe that are difficult to get to on your own?
I was also very lucky with fellow travelers on the bus tour, but even pleasant fellow travelers are sometimes late, get lost, want to go to the toilet in the most inappropriate place, try to smuggle “fragrant” cheeses on the bus. I understand that they are not on purpose, but still annoying.

I have a negative attitude towards bus routes. This is from the time when we traveled to Moscow by shuttles. Now only on our own.
Communication between countries and cities is very developed in Europe. There are no borders in Schengen. Trains run clearly in Europe, low-cost flights fly very cheaply, so you can make a route. Hotels, campsites, apartments are available. Yes. This is the work that needs to be done at home at the computer. But, you choose everything as it suits you, and not to the travel agency to which you will pay this money.
And on the way, it turns out that they have night crossings, because the tour is short. Somewhere they were delayed, now the carriers are catching up, the stops are being shortened. Further, they bring to the hotel on the outskirts of the city, from where you still need to get to the sights, and this is for your money, the hotel only has continental breakfasts, and this is coffee, a bun, cheese, sausage, at best boiled eggs (the hotel is cheap ), so you are not so much interested in dinner, but where to eat, and preferably cheaper. This is only part of the disadvantages of the bus tour.

And for you, as an option, try to go to Bratislava. There is a nearby place where you can buy an excursion - Vienna, Prague. Here is such a trip for a start, I recommend.
аватар alex45
As an example (it is in Turpravda in my account) a trip on my own to the carnival in Venice, then to Rome and Genoa on a sea cruise to Casablanca. Everything was done independently. To Venice by low-cost, then by a luxury train to Rome, then three days later by train to Genoa. Hotels through Booking were booked near train stations and closer to the city center, traveled by bus, vaparetto and metro (bought travel cards), ate in taverns, where the locals eat, away from the tourist trails.
But I decided all these issues before the trip, otherwise, if this work does not suit you, then the bus and the hope that you will be lucky with MOT.

Now you can go to Krakow on your own for a couple of days. You plan a route for yourself, you will see more and do not depend on anyone. Carrier LeoExpress. They just have discounts now, they themselves went 2 weeks ago for a penny back and forth. Good luck!

oleg05022001, prices for the studio, please! So that unbelievers believe that a bus tour is not always cheaper than an independent trip).

37 euros for 2 people for tickets Lviv-Krakow-Lviv.

For the one who asked, I think it’s no longer relevant, but for those who are looking for an answer to the same question, I’ll insert my 5 cents.
Bus tours from personal experience are the cheapest option to see Europe. Most of the tours are chord tours, there is also extravaganza, algol, but eurotrips stands out - tours for young people (they position themselves like that). My husband and I went with a chord. Basically, we took tours for 5-6 days with 2 night trips (this is physically not for everyone, but with us in the group there were children of 6-7 years old (everything went without whining and tantrums) and people aged). If you want a maximum of cities at the lowest price - these are tours with a night crossing, if without night crossings - the price will be a little higher. You need to look at specific tours, where there are night crossings, this is always indicated, i.e. when buying a tour, you will understand whether there are / are not night crossings. There is an exception - if there is a delay at customs, and for example you spend half the night there - no one is safe from this either on a group or on an individual trip
аватар svetlana.popova
everything is very individual in terms of expenses, we took at the rate of 50 euros / person per day (active, we don’t count travel days) we always brought the money back, left it for the next trip or spent it on shopping.
If you need to save:
don't take extra excursions (or just to use the tour package, if it is mandatory);
as part of a bus tour, when you are in the city for one day - I don’t see the point of paying for entrance to museums, it’s better to take a walk and see the city itself (it’s also free)
take dry rations from home, plus I saw how girls at gas stations did not buy tea and coffee, but simply asked to pour boiling water into a thermo mug - no one seemed to refuse them.
everything is written subjectively, from personal travel experience.
