Before we had time to rest after the weekend in Istanbul, the next weekend in Lviv came.
How good it is that a night train with a reserved seat goes to this city from Kyiv. And even oddly enough, there were tickets for it. According to the old tradition, we went to our hostel, which was located in the very center, on foot from the station itself. Three reasons why we went to Lviv:
1) The kindest people in the world live in western Ukraine
2) The kindest people know a lot about New Year's festivities
3) And it’s delicious there, mmmm….
This trip was a kind of continuation of our food tourism. The kindness of these people was felt even from the train, when the conductor laughed very hard about something of her own while checking our tickets. Night of sleep and we have arrived. We were very lucky with the weather, it was eight degrees, without wind. Settled, it would be necessary to eat somewhere and sign up for excursions. The question of "Eat" was decided quite interestingly. My godfather called me when he found out that we were in Lviv, the first thing he said was: “Be sure to go to the Kumpel restaurant, it’s very tasty! ”. It was just a sign of fate. I don’t remember the names of the dishes, but for dessert there was dark beer ice cream. And at the exit there is also a girl’s body with a hint, rub her boobs and there will be a free beer : )
Having drunk a free beer, we sailed to the center. In the center we caught a guide selling tours. The girl for about 10 minutes tried to pick up the most interesting and unexplored corners of Lviv for us, but unfortunately, it turned out that we were generally everywhere. Even where very rarely anyone goes. Since there are no excursions in Lviv, we will go to see the surroundings of Lviv. But tomorrow. Today we have a cultural program for non-standard places. We decided to check a couple of places with the guide girl, she, having seen our printouts of the route, noticed that we were seriously prepared. First we climbed the town hall and watched "Lions in the palm of your hand".
And then it looks like it looks from above when a trumpeter comes out to play on the balcony of the town hall. People below crowded looking up. From our side, it looked like they were watching and enjoying our personas. Feeling a sense of self-importance, we went to look for a courtyard where all the things of the Soviet era are being demolished. The yard is really well hidden. Next, we were waiting for the courtyard of the lost toys. The second patio was more fun. Elements of our childhood were felt in toys.
After the courtyards, we headed to the territory of the theater, where a large appliqué was made from various old decorations. The entrance to the theater was closed, but after explaining to the concierge the purpose of our visit, she gladly let us through. There were even aliens and people of the future, hung with CDs. Then we met with our friends, who supplemented our knowledge of the unknown Lviv. We even saw a copy of the Statue of Liberty sitting on the roof of the first bank in Ukraine. Although it was not cold on the streets, this did not prevent us from warming up with excellent Lviv mulled wine. After walking with friends around the center, we went to the next strategically important point of the trip. Restaurant "Stargorod". Under live Ukrainian music, we continued to learn the masterpieces of Western cuisine and brewing. Having refreshed ourselves, if it could be called that (it would be more correct to say “totally overeaten”), we went to inspect the crossword house. Too bad they don't light it up at night.
The essence of the idea is not completely clear, and there is a lot of conflicting information on the Internet, but it was cool. In the evening we were waiting for the ethnic concert of the band Joriy Klots. The music fell right into the shape of the ears. The whole concert flew by in one breath. In general, it’s rare when you immediately like new music, but here every song just wrapped around, and very strong basses made every cell move to the beat of the music. After the concert, we decided to go on a tour of the castles in the vicinity of Lviv. When I went to the tour agency, I had to leave my phone number and name, when it turned out that I was Andrey, and it was just Andrey's day, I was presented with a book about Lviv, which was written by an author named Andrey and left at the travel agency so that they would give it to Andrey who will buy the tour. The Book also has an autograph and a message from the author. How cute is this. To fix such a great evening, we decided to have a cup of melted chocolate and a dessert of ice cream, chocolate, cream, almonds and nut crisps. It was very sweet and wonderful. You could still walk all night, but tomorrow is no less busy schedule and you need to get a good night's sleep.
4 years ago I turned on the computer and for the first time entered my domain login and password in the corporation, it was my first day of work in Incom.
In the morning after yesterday's route, my legs were a little buzzing. After checking out of the hotel and leaving our things, we hurried to the tour bus. The tours were full of information and quite interesting. The second castle stood out very much, in which a real ghost lives, and also there, somewhere, there is a photograph of someone who is just like The Great Gatsby. As a result, in every photograph or painting in the castle, we looked for a portrait of DiCaprio with a glass. And when we went down to the dungeon to try our luck on a ghost, there really was one funny story. After which I no longer doubted that there was a ghost. Especially when the girl stumbled in the dark and gasped in a terrible voice.

Arriving in the city, we went to get acquainted with the cuisine of the Kriva Lipa restaurant, and then, of course, for desserts in the chocolate workshop. But since I wanted both yesterday's and something new, I had to overeat sweets completely, and at the street fair you still have to eat street food sausages. I did not want to leave, especially since you have to be cheerful at work early in the morning.
In such a beautiful place, we completed the chain of trips in 2014, which consisted of 9 trips lasting 56 days. This is our record : )
