What to watch?
We are planning to go to Kyiv from May 1 for 3-4.5 days (in different ways). We are going Parents and adult children, possibly from different places. The goal is to have an interesting time together, seeing a beautiful city. With housing, it seems to be clear. But how to organize time, excursions, etc. - not really. It seemed - if you want to go to Prague - there are so many options for all tastes, with a difference in the number of days, tastes, etc. (even what places to visit to eat goodies are, not that shops, souvenirs, etc.), but to Kyiv? And nothing like that (. The majority came to Kyiv for the first time, the wife was alone there for the last time a quarter of a century ago (it’s considered a long time ago, even though she often went there)

Hello. From Art. Matro Vokzalnaya bus excursion around Kiev. I didn’t go myself :) The tour is 2 hours, in my opinion. They take you back to the station. Google it, I think there are still similar sightseeing buses.
I don't know what exactly interests you. I will try to advise the Lavra (the world-famous shrine) (respect the monastery, let the women take scarves in their purses - put them on their heads). I advise you to go from st. Arsenalnaya metro station on foot through the Park of Glory - a monument to those who died in the Second World War, a beautiful lookout near the stele, then the Lavra, caves with relics (ask on the spot, they will tell you, take a guide so as not to stare in vain, but listen more :) On the territory of the Lavra, be sure to go to museum of microminiatures (near the main entrance). There are forged fleas, a rose on a hair cut, etc. :), then go to the Motherland. There is a WWII museum. Impressive. I especially remember a piece of blockade bread. The museum itself is on the Spivoche field (Singing field). It's beautiful there in May :) This is a one-day excursion. Get tired :)
The second is Hem. Get off at the Postal Square metro station. You go up the funicular (attraction :), go down Andreevsky Spusk, go to the St. Andrew's Church (or look past :), go to the Bulgakov House-Museum (

worth it, believe me), to the One Street Museum. You go down to Kontraktova Square. There you eat (budget and comfortable) in the Pot-bellied Hut.
Buy souvenirs at Andreevsky :)
These are two old districts - the face of Kyiv. Pechersk and Podol.
From Podil by metro to Khreshchatyk. You walk. Budget and comfortable to eat: Zdorovenki bula (near metro station Khreshchatyk), the same Puzata hut (near Bessarabka and in the Passage - closer to metro station Maidan Nezalezhnosti).
Take the metro to metro station Minskaya. Walk along the embankment. District "Obolonskie Lipki". This is Obolonsky Khreshchatyk :)
Also take a trip to the New Botanical Garden. From metro Druba Narodov on foot. Or from Bessarabka after a walk along Khreshchatyk. Magnolias and lilacs will bloom. There will be CROWS of PEOPLE :) But tolerable :) The lookout is beautiful, the plants are different, space, air.
At metro station Vladimirsky Cathedral, an old small botanical garden. Cosy. Magnolias.

http://obolondom.com/kiev-chto-posmotret/ - at this link information that is worth seeing in Kiev for a short time, description and photos of objects (they are divided into groups: churches and temples, monuments, parks, museums, monuments).
http://from-ua.com/travel/9c5545df939f3.html - here is already developed a route of independent walking from the station. metro "Golden Gate" past "Hedgehog in the Mist" (from the cartoon) to St. Andrew's Church, near which the bronze Pronya Prokopivna still does not know that Golokhvastov's chest "squeaks cigarette", then to Independence Square (Independence Square = main square) etc.
http://777-konstantin.blogspot.com/2011/05/blog-post_03.html - here, too, the sights are divided into groups, there is a map, 24 routes are offered for an independent tour.

One more day I advise you to go to the Museum of National Architecture and Life in Pirogovo. This is an open-air museum where you can see real wooden houses and windmills from all over Ukraine. Photos from there are masterpieces. In addition, you can ride a horse, buy various souvenirs. You can have a fun day there. Bring a blanket or plaid and have a snack - a picnic and a tour. You can get there by public transport from Art. Lybidska metro station - trolleybus № 11, from st. Akademgorodok metro station - minibus № 576
from the Bessarabian market - minibus № 156, from Art. Lukyanivska metro station - minibus № 496
It is still important for me to eat tasty and inexpensive food. You will definitely be on Independence Square. From the Main Post Office to the right of Khreshchatyk past the Kyiv City Administration to the Central Department Store (it is under reconstruction). At the corner, turn right and get to the street. B. Khmelnytsky.
Go up the street, go through the station. Teatralna metro station, crossroads. On the right will be the building of the design institute, on the ground floor of the self-service bistro "Oliv 'is" (just in case address: B. Khmelnytsky 16/22). They are always there! Always delicious,
