Excursion to Istanbul
Hello! Tell me, how much can an excursion to Istanbul cost? In particular, to the Hagia Sophia, if they carry it at all? Is it possible to buy this excursion from local agencies? Thank you in advance!

take my advice - don't waste your time. time you spend - a lot! Istanbul is a very beautiful and BIG city. There are an incredible array of attractions. I don't even have a week to see everything! and the road from Kemer is long. you need a plane, and this is a long time.
you need to go to istanbul purposefully for at least 4 days.
аватар LaFifa
I agree with Anetka-gan. You need to go to Istanbul purposefully, and on excursions you will spend half a day at some tannery, instead of calmly enjoying the city :) Just ruin your mood and lose a day of rest.
Z.Y.
If you still go, then the cost of tickets in Istanbul is as follows:
Galata tower - 10 lira, "Bosphorus cruise" (on a boat on the Bosphorus) - 9-10 lira, Topkapi Palace 20 lira, Hagia Sophia - 20 lira, Chora monastery (mosaic museum) - 15 lira

Thank you. Of course, I’m unlikely to be able to allocate 4 days. And purposefully go to Istanbul, not this year. In principle, I only wanted to see the Church of St. Sophia and show it to my son. But since there are no such specific tours, I’ll have to be content with something it’s easier. But the tannery will definitely not interest me :-))) Thanks again for the advice!

Yes, you can find such a tour on the spot, but the price will not be small and it will take at least 2 days.
go to my albums see photos of Istanbul.

kovalevskay, Well, if only Hagia Sophia is set for the goal, then of course you will see her. Usually on a sightseeing tour in Istanbul, tourists are brought to Sultanahmet, here they examine the Hippodrome Square, Hagia Sophia (outside) and the Blue Mosque (with entry inside, because it's free). Then moving along the Bosphorus bridge to the Asian part of the city, a photo-pause on Editepe hill (the highest point in Istanbul). Then, the group is dropped off at the Egyptian Bazaar, they are given free time (about an hour and a half), those who wish are offered a ride on a crab for an extra charge (this year they offered 15 euros per person (three times more expensive than the official cost). Then the tourists are taken home, with the obligatory visiting some carpet or tannery :) I understand that I want to see everything at once. We have people went on an excursion to Istanbul from Bulgaria (the cost of the excursion is 50 euros). At 4 in the morning we left by bus, 6 hours to Istanbul, returned at one in the morning.
Very tired and frankly, often dissatisfied.

After looking at your photos, Anetka-gan, I wanted to see Istanbul even more with all its historical beauties. Very beautiful! :-)))

if you really want to go, then do not bother with agencies, do everything yourself! 1) book tickets via the Internet, AtlasJet airline (cheaper than Turkish Airlines): early in the morning - there, late in the evening - back. Fly 1 hour. Ataturk Airport. In Istanbul, right at the airport, you can take the metro, in 1 hour, through the whole of Istanbul (ground metro, you can see everything) to get to Aya Sofya. There is also the Blue Mosque, Tsmsterny Basilica, Topkapi Palace. 4-5 hours of walking is enough for you. Then take the same tram and go back to the airport. In Istanbul, only lira is needed. I will have questions - write. Good luck! Aya Sophia is impossible not to see! (just check when there is a day off)

by plane is best. but unfortunately more expensive. if finances allow - fly! good luck!

In 2008, Pegasus took an excursion to Istanbul. This pleasure cost about $300 per person. They did not get to Hagia Sophia, because it was a day off (like Monday). The whole tour took a day. The route was the same as described by LaFifa.
аватар Anetka-gan
Samana is an air tour?
аватар zama
And best of all))) relax, swim, gain strength at sea. And you will go to Istanbul separately. Select
time, book a hotel yourself, air tickets too, if you can get into the action, and believe us, 6 days were not enough))) we will definitely be back!
аватар Samana
Yes, we flew by plane to Istanbul. But since the hotel was booked for 2 weeks, it was not a pity to spend a day on this excursion. Next time I will definitely repeat.
аватар LaFifa
For $ 300 per person, you can fly to Istanbul and fly from home for 2-3 days :) The game is not worth the candle, IMHO.
аватар Anetka-gan
LaFifa in! I think so too! :) robbery out of the blue. with the same success, you can take a ticket to Istanbul yourself and arrange a chic excursion for yourself!

one way minimum 77 TL per person. exchange rate 1 $ = 1.49 lira. it comes out to about 52ue.
www.flypgs.com but here the arrival / departure from Istanbul is not at the main airport. for one - 73 lira.
http://www.atlasjet.com/ (website in Turkish) minimum 84 lira per person one way

usually the most expensive flights, but there are some promotional tickets here
аватар Anetka-gan
prices could change, I copied the May ones so that there were links.
prices for excursions Lafifa wrote. Navigating the city is easy. I can give a map and guides and explain on the fingers))))
аватар Samana
Well, it depends where you fly from. Expensive, of course, but everything is organized just fine and there is confidence that you will not get lost and will not be late anywhere. Maybe for experienced tourists it is not a problem to arrange excursions for themselves, but I am not one of those (unfortunately).
аватар Anetka-gan
Samana my first independent trip organized by me was to Istanbul!! :) worth a try!
аватар Samana
Maybe someday... And I wish you to see many more interesting things!
аватар Anetka-gan
Thanks a lot :)
аватар zoxana77100
I'm at home in Turkey, take all the excursions on the street from guides more expensive, compare yourself
аватар zoxana77100
if you want to go to Istanbul, take a separate ticket and go for a week or by plane, but from Kemer it makes sense
