How long does it last, on what days, is it possible to arrange an excursion at the hotel or is it better to do it somewhere else?

You will arrive at the hotel, the guide from the tour company will tell you everything about the excursions and prices, including. Then you will go to the beach or outside the gate and buy the same excursions cheaper. That's all. The choice is yours.

From the guides it was 45 USD. , behind gates 25-30 (from Camyuva). The tour is called Demre-Mira-Kekova. One of the most popular. Pick up after breakfast and return by dinner. Lunch is included in the tour. We really enjoyed.

What guides, what excursions ???!!! You will be within walking distance to the church where St. Nicholas served, from which it is 20 minutes to the World of Lycian. on foot. Very close to the hotel there is a pier, from where excursions to the island of Kekova, Simen start, tickets are sold on the spot ..
аватар Igor_m
But getting to Gelemysh (Patara) is worth visiting also in the places where St. Nicholas was born.

Thank you all for your replies and attention! We are only going for 7 nights, and judging by the air tickets, we will only be 6 full days. Therefore, I try to plan everything on the "ground" so as not to waste time on the spot. Do you recommend visiting Myra, Kekova, Demre on your own?
аватар helena_fortuna
Igor_m - I completely agree with you.
This region is not typical for tourists from the former CIS countries.
But there are tours everywhere.
You can buy safely. The price will not be more than 10 -15 $
аватар marinaexpertbtl
helena_fortuna Why is it not typical for tourists from the CIS?
аватар Igor_m
Yes, on your own, there are no guides needed, and you will see for yourself.
аватар Igor_m
marinaexpertbtl, if it's not a secret, do you have a package tour, or did you book the hotel yourself? In those places you rarely meet a countryman, but they are also in Kalkan, Kas, and a little in Demre and Finike. I didn’t see 5-star hotels there, it’s far from airports, so there are few tourists, very few, which is the best thing for me ...

At least - the region. It does not have hotels - working on the ALL Inclusive system /
And such hotels are not very popular with most Russian-speaking tourists.
Association Turkey is all inclusive.
But - the beauty there - around - is extraordinary
You will definitely like it!
аватар marinaexpertbtl
Igor_m package tour. Although I could book everything myself. But there wasn't much time.
Chose away from the crowd of Russian tourists. We are not afraid of the road, we live in the Moscow region, 120 km from Moscow - we are no strangers to a transfer :-) The hotel was looking for an all-inclusive, so that the place was not built up with hotels; few reviews from Russian tourists - also a plus - so they will not annoy. I want to go to St. Nicholas Church.
Thank you for your replies. I also asked about deposit cards there and about choosing a room: directly and sideways to the sea - so that it was quieter. I do not want screaming children, transport, and the court is also embarrassing.

helena_fortuna, how are there no ALL Inclusive hotels? Don't scare me. Andriake Beach Club 5 * - all inclusive. And the fact that there are no others like it just makes me happy. Russians will be less.
аватар helena_fortuna
You have found a gem!
That's exactly what I'm telling you.
аватар Igor_m
helena_fortuna, bravo!
marinaexpertbtl, if you moor in Simena during a boat trip, climb to the very top to the fortress, it’s beautiful, but that’s it ... But on the way to it or back, a flock of kids from 3 to 7 years old will “stick” to you (so it happens there every year), and in pure English they will begin to demand "van dollar", offering some homemade products in return, look into their eyes, do not spare a couple of lire, okay?
аватар helena_fortuna
And yet - on excursions - there are bike tours.
On site - take a look.
аватар helena_fortuna
Oh, didn't see the question. YES, I know - he's the only one there on ALL
аватар Igor_m
And yet, take a ride to Kas, Kalkan, you will find a place for your next vacation there, I'm sure. Good luck !
аватар marinaexpertbtl
Igor_m, I understood about Simene. I will be ready to donate (especially since I am no stranger to it). I read about everything beforehand. Am I planning correctly: one day of Mira and the Church of St. Nicholas, and Kekova and Simene on another day?
аватар marinaexpertbtl
Igor_m, Kas, Kalkan far from the hotel? By boat or taxi/bus?
аватар Igor_m
marinaexpertbtl, that's right!
аватар Igor_m
Everything is close by, take the bus.
аватар marinaexpertbtl
helena_fortuna, you inspired me. And then something began to doubt his choice. Bicycle tours to which place and how long?
By the way, can you rent a bike at the hotel?
аватар marinaexpertbtl
Igor_m, is the bus public? Is there a stop near the hotel?
аватар Igor_m
I do not advise on roads where cars drive, to ride a bicycle. Moreover, in Turkey I have not seen bike paths, and drivers do not even let pedestrians through at the crossing. The most beautiful D400 road in Turkey passes near the hotel, the stop is also nearby. Everything is simple and clear there - they went out onto the road, to the left Mugla, Dalaman, to the right Kemer, Antalya, the inscriptions are all easy to read.
аватар marinaexpertbtl
Igor_m, I understood about bicycles and roads. Have you stayed at this hotel? I am interested in choosing a room: directly on the sea or on the side. I want silence.
аватар kr_1-s
As far as I understand, this hotel will receive Russians for the first time. Considering the price, there will obviously be a lot of "screaming children" in it (we are thinking with the baby ourselves), and crowds of compatriots!)
аватар Igor_m
marinaexpertbtl, I don’t stay in this or similar hotels, they destroy my concept of relaxation - to see more and learn new things, I constantly move around. And in your hotel there should be no noise from children, and even more so from cars - they are not there.

From the reviews of the British, it follows that the sound of a strong wind, as well as discos (if the windows overlook the pool) can interfere with this hotel.
At the same time, there will be pluses in the hotel: no need to fight for sunbeds, no queues at the canteen, no annoying leather / fur merchants on the beach and barkers-masseurs-hamamaists. Accordingly, the staff also did not have time to acquire "girlfriends" from the CIS)))
аватар Igor_m
kr_1-s, You are right about everything, only there are no winds there, in the evening there is a slight breeze.

This hotel is a pig in a poke. I personally don’t understand what the entry into the sea is like there (it seems to be flat and sand) and what is the quality of the food (I read that not all British were happy with the food).
The same question is how to get to Demre.
Apparently, there is no free transfer, and walking with a 3-year-old child is not a guarantee that I will get there.
There's a taxi...
