In general, I was pleasantly surprised that despite the fact that the hotel is a bit old, it is nevertheless very clean (the hotel area is clean, the pools (and there are three of them) are cleaned every day, the rooms are cleaned every day, towels are changed every day - in short, everything is like supposedly, there were no problems with this. By and large, you can spend the whole vacation only in a hotel and not go anywhere and you will not be bored - the animation is just super. The sea is just magical - the cleanest, most transparent, with a sandy bottom and mother-of-pearl sand))
We will recommend to all our friends and relatives )) This is just the case when you think that it would be nice to have a rest here again )
Convenient, on a small slope with pools on the terraces. If you read the reviews of the "martyrs" who are lazy to go up dozens of steps to the sea - it's fat sloths) On the left - a stitch that we called "bypass", it is the fastest way to get to the beach, past terraces with sunbeds and bars.
Directly in front of the hotel is a spacious dolphin-shaped pool, small at one end so that children can swim. Nearby are children's slides, mini-water park and slides for the little ones. Below - a terrace with a swimming pool and two bars.
On the beach - not crowded. The best places are in the gazebos on the left, so you should wake up early to take them. Sandy beach, clean and limited from the sea by a strip of panels at a depth of 2 meters. Further this strip of sea urchins do not settle.
From the terraces near the gazebos you can watch the sea inhabitants even without a mask! Crabs, lots of fish and shellfish.
In the evenings the beach is deserted, so after dinner you can enjoy the coolness with a bunch of grapes and wine. And with children you can spend hours catching crabs of various calibers, which climb on the stones in the dark.
In 5 minutes procession - Didim's own town. There is a good amusement park and several supermarket shops in the immediate vicinity.
At the opposite end of the town - the ruins of the temple of Apollo, I read that some of the best preserved. That is, these are not the two broken columns to which excursions lead to other cities and tell stories for hours) This is a really noteworthy complex of buildings. But the main advantage is that you can go there by minibus or taxi, rather than book a tour. Entrance for a few euros.
At the reception you can arrange a day water tour by small boat. The main thing is not to expect that you will go to the islands! This is a tour to just shop in different bays, and on the islands the ban is banned.
It cost us $ 20 per person, including lunch on the boat + transfer by bus from the hotel.
Food
Delicious and varied. Queues are very rare and only if you sleep until 10 : ) Grill kitchen - just great! Every day a different kind of fish (something like sea bream, mackerel, perch) or chicken or meat. 5 varieties of baklava - the best tried anywhere. The rest is traditional - a bunch of varieties of salads, sweets, fast food, cheese, herbs, cream soups, cereals, other fruits every day. Near the beach there is another fast food kitchen (burgers, french fries, chicken, etc. ) For lunch there - Belgian waffles for kids. By the big pool at lunch - corn. Nearby - a bar of ice cream for the little ones. In addition to the main hall, there are two other restaurants - fish and Turkish, but as I see it serves almost the same dishes as in the main hall. But of course there is a better landscape, no noisy neighbors nearby
Alcohol
Wine - good, beer - Tuborg (not bad even for spoiled by local beers such as Mykulynetske and Opillya), vodka - negana, whiskey - so-so.
Two disadvantages - not enough normal full-size 0.5 glasses of beer glasses : )
Well, there is a lack of NORMAL full-size coffee. That is, no big lattes or Americano! Just look at the miniature cups that need 3-4 per adult)
Premises and territory
Clean and clean. Lovers of cold for the first couple of nights will have to sleep just in front of the air conditioner (like me), and then get used to it. In the bathroom no cheap tiles on the walls - just marble slabs) Probably in them near his deposit : ) Nothing is broken. Balconies - spacious, with a drying ladder. Even from the windows that do not face the sea - a good view of the salt flats, trees in the area or olive groves.
Cons - in the heat of the refrigerator works at a minimum, ie wine and fruit will be cold, and ice cream is guaranteed to melt.
Solved by an ice pack that can be picked up at the bar.
There is a paramedic on the territory, but it is better not to count on it ...to stick a plaster or to pull out needles of hedgehogs. Take with you antiemetic, antipyretic, pancreatin, antiallergic, act. coal and antipyretic (gold standard of children's first-aid kits)
In the lobby there is a shop where you can buy sunscreen, a circle, sneakers, a vest for the little ones or some other forgotten little thing.
Personnel
Polite and attentive. That is, there is nothing to complain about at all. English-speaking.
Well, another advantage - the almost complete absence of Russians! That is, no drunken screams, vomiting in the corners, ragulism, garbage under him, sharpanina, primitive pop from the columns and other attributes of the branch of Ros. "zaporebrika"! ! ! ! ! Russian was understood by several people from the reception and a boy from the spa. Music - Turkish or English. Most tourists are Turks, less - Ukrainians and Europeans.
A vivid testimony to the humanity of the staff: The younger forgot her favorite toy in the room. The tour operator, at the request of the bodies of their representative in the hotel, unsubscribed every 24 years from Ukraine, who picked it up and sent it to us by Nova Poshta a day later.
In short - I recommend, especially with a child.
Upon arrival at the hotel at 17.00 at the reception, we were alone. We waited 15 minutes until they paid attention to us. They don't speak Russian or Ukrainian. The first room with access to the construction site and very small. The second one is on the first floor, noisy and overlooking the wall. The third one also overlooks the wall, but at least on the third floor, they stopped there. Key card opened from the seventh time. They promised to repair the castle in ten minutes, but in the end it took an hour.
Only four hotels have opened in Didim. And they are completely packed. In our hotel, no distance or security measures from covid-19 can be said. As we were told by the hotel staff, the occupancy rate is 110%. That's horrible. 90% Turks. Now I understand why it was impossible for Turks to rest with foreigners before. Noise, climb out of turn, litter. But not all, there are very educated people. The dining room (it cannot be called a restaurant) is not designed for such a number of people. Queues everywhere. The food is laid not the one you want, but what got into the spoon of the distributor. If meat is with vegetables, then only vegetables will get on your plate. The request to put more, should be refused. And so on for all categories of dishes - sweet, vegetables, hot, etc.
Meat, beef stew was every other day. Fish every day, but tasteless (grilled or stewed). All the time chicken, chicken and grilled chicken. There was no turkey or lamb at all. There was no seafood, not even shrimp and mussels. And it's FIVE stars? All inclusive? Fruits - watermelon-melon, watermelon-plum, watermelon-grape, watermelon-peach. I saw three fruits at once three times. Everything (! ) is practically unripe. Ten days to eat the same thing is torture. There is no variety at all. Alcohol is local, terrible, almost without degrees. You won't be able to get drunk, only to the point of nausea, perhaps.
The water park is open from 10.00-12.00, from 14.00-16.00. And not all slides. The pools seem to be clean, but when you get out of the water you take off a bunch of other people's hair (unpleasant, to be honest). The sea is shallow and dirty with oil stains. It was clean in the mornings for four days, when the wind blew from the shore. The beach is sandy with cigarette butts and small debris (although traces of rakes are visible). The beach itself is small. On the first and second lines, the sunbeds stand in the water from the waves, which the sand does not absorb - it turns out to be a swamp.
I do not recommend this hotel at all. In Turkey for the third time and for the first time on the second day I wanted to leave. It is impossible to compare with Belek and Marmaris. Didim beach resort is beautiful only in the photo!
Otherwise, everything was without complaints, cleaning every day, feeding is good, not great, but you won’t go hungry. The sea and the beach are just super, compared to Alanya, Antalya and their Mediterranean Sea, the Aegean Sea is just like a baby’s tear, the sunset is sand, the coast is gentle, the only minus of the sea is that it is cooler than the Mediterranean, in August 24-25 deg, Mediterranean 27-29 at that time. Sun loungers by the sea that by the pool should be borrowed at 6 am. A couple of times they argued with the Turks who unceremoniously sat down on busy sun loungers and began to prove that they had been sitting here since morning. Well, the Germans stood up for us, who said the opposite))
The filling of the hotel is mainly Turks, Germans, Poles. The city is within walking distance, there is a cool amusement park, all the carousels are at the same price, fixed price, 9.5 lira (90 rubles), a very beautiful embankment with a bunch of shops and cafes, it’s the most to walk in the evening. In general, we went to rest, and not to count the cracks in the tiles, we really liked the hotel.
