We stopped by on September 1, the problems started at the reception, where not a single employee spoke Russian. We had to ask for a card to get towels with the help of a translator, which I downloaded in advance, thanks to my intuition, after 15 minutes of our torment, we still received the card. In the SPA, where they gave out towels, something similar to a secret sits, apparently for the entourage, which also does not speak Russian, and English, too, with great difficulty. Without knowledge of Turkish or English, there is nothing to do in Bodrum and the villages close to it, since everything is designed for the domestic market of tourist services. I don’t understand why tour operators offer this region to Russian tourists. The guests of our hotel were mostly Turks, there were Ukrainians, Belarusians, but you can count them on the fingers of the entire hotel.
This hotel definitely does not correspond to the declared 5 stars, the rooms are dirty, the building itself needs to be renovated, the service leaves much to be desired. To our surprise, on the day of arrival, a surprise awaited us, in the closet under the pillows that I was supposed to use, we found men's boxers. From this it follows that after the departure of the previous guests, even no one sent these pillows to dry cleaning. I found someone's slates under the refrigerator, a terrible layer of dust under the beds, a chewed baby nipple and some kind of toy, dirt in the corners of the rooms, the corpses of butterflies, and there is only one glass in the room for two people, they probably save the deficit. Already the first bell for me was, but I didn’t want to make a fuss, the mood was excellent, there was a whole week of vacation ahead, with the maids we ourselves resolved this issue without making a fuss. The mood changed radically when on the 5th day we were robbed. They stole a gold ring and even a funny but open pack of chewing gum. Our neighbors have 5000 rubles and fruit puree for a child. And this is with the expectation that we always left a tip, did not quarrel with anyone, on the contrary, in many respects we made concessions (as I mentioned above).
If you are not lucky and you ended up in B? y? k Anadolu D? d? m Resort, in order not to get into the same situation as we are, hide all your things, hide them under lock and key, as everyone has access to your room Who cares, bartenders, maids, security.
When we called our representative Sarvin, tour operator Sunmar, and told about the situation, he made it clear that we would have to solve the problem ourselves, and he would not even deign to come. After he realized that he was serious, he began to dissuade him from reporting to the police. Justifying by the fact that you will need to go there at your own expense, the police will not come to us when called. Well, of course we understood that this was disinformation. The next day, instead of swimming in the Aegean, sunbathe and enjoy your vacation. We had to teach the management of the hotel to work. First of all, in the hotel lobby, we caught another representative of our Sunmar travel agency, Tamerlane. He was not aware of our situation, but just do it for another reason. To say that he lacked the professionalism, skills and competence to deal with a problem like ours would be an understatement. I even felt a little sorry for him, he looked very confused. But do not forget that no one in this hellish hotel speaks Russian, so we left Tamerlane as an interpreter (later we realized that he was not suitable for this role either). The maids came, they said something about God and that it was not them, then a man came who carries suitcases and began to teach us how to use the safe (on the 5th day of our stay at the hotel, mind you) although in each room there is a leaflet in Turkish and English, where in the all inclusive line, the safe box line is crossed out with a regular ballpoint pen. To hell, as they say. When you check out you will of course be told to pay for the use. Well, this is a common Turkish divorce, I think this is not news to you. When I was tired of all the petty tantrums of the employees, I asked to bring the personnel manager, a very pleasant woman, who, unfortunately, only shrugged, lamented in Turkish and went to move the bedside tables and the bed in our room along with the maids, as she was sure that we had it just got lost. In short, this circus lasted 2 hours, we have already reached the general director. He also speaks only Turkish, very broken English. We ourselves suggested that he solve this problem inside the hotel and not involve the police. We did not need a scandal, we just wanted to return the thing that was dear to us. To which he began to scare us that they would take prints from all of us, search the room, inspect our things, and just do the hotel will write a response to us. Since the involvement of the police is very bad for the hotel. And for us it seems to be good that the ring was stolen and rummaged through things. In general, his phrases did not stop us, and we called the police. The general director was very nervous that the police would have to shine in the hall. No one was surprised by what was happening, neither the leadership nor the police, as if they had this procedure every other day and it was quite familiar. We talked in the office of the secretary, who constantly asked to speak more quietly, as if there was no free office in the whole hotel where we could talk. They understood each other poorly, since the police speak Turkish, and we speak Russian. And our translator has one name.
As a result: the statement is written. We are waiting for an expert to take fingerprints. The procedure looked like this, they took a picture of the door, the nightstand, where the ring lay, on a SLR. The bedside table was covered with powder, they say there are no prints, and the camera is turned off, just a “professional thief”. Those. the fact that a maid in gloves should work just does not bother anyone. I ask myself, but on other things, on door handles, on a suitcase. As we were told the surface is not suitable, the chance of a thief's fingerprints is very small. What surprised me was that no one inspected our things. In short, it was all just an exciting attraction. They promised to interrogate all the staff and check the printouts to understand who entered the room on the card. As a result: naturally, no one returned the ring, as well as 5.000 rubles. The only thing they apparently offended us was, since no one came to clean us in the last 2 days and they put some water under our door. Here it is, ruthless Turkish service at the five-star B? y? k Anadolu D? d? m Resort.
I am writing this comment for the benefit of the fatherland. So that our tourists do not spend money, nerves and precious vacation days on this hotel.
I hope my review will be useful for you and you will definitely make your choice in favor of another hotel.
The food is varied, everything is very tasty and beautiful.
Of the minuses: the sea is very shallow - knee-deep, waist-deep, again knee-deep and chest-deep. But it warms up faster. The beach is not wide, sandy. You can take sun loungers on the terrace, you can on the sand itself. The bar on the beach didn't work, you had to go to the snack bar or the pool bar. The meal schedule says that they bake cakes from 10-30 to 17-00, but this house was closed.
In general, we are very pleased with the rest, we saw a completely different Turkey.
About the hotel:
1. The rooms are quite good (we had a room overlooking the pool and the sea, friends had a chicken coop). The chicken coop of friends strained only at first, but the view from the balcony, in principle, is quite tolerable, at least not construction, etc.
2. The territory of the hotel is small, there is nowhere to roam.
3. Food: you won't go hungry, but the variety of dishes is poor.
4. The staff is very friendly (although we do not speak English, and there are almost no Russians in the hotel) and we understood each other almost perfectly.
5. Animation is more normal, but again (due to poor knowledge of the language) not everything was clear, but very incendiary.
6. The location of the hotel is not very convenient for shopping (souvenirs). A trip to the town of Aitylkum (I think that's what it's called) cost 60 dollars by taxi for 14 km (they have very expensive gasoline, about 4 dollars per liter).
7. The entrance to the sea is really very shallow, but the sand.
8. There are only two bars on the territory of the hotel (reception and near the pool) for us, this was a minus, albeit a small one.
9. Cleaned the room perfectly.
10. Sun loungers by the pool (if you need it) should be taken around 6-7 in the morning. By the sea you will always find free ones. (because the hotel was almost all occupied) Take your towels with you
11. Slides, in principle, are designed for children, but this did not bother us)))))))))
12. In general, we really liked it, and we !!!!!!!!!!! )))))))))))))))
The food was normal, the sweet table I agree with other reviews is just creepy. You won't be left hungry.
Animation is cool. There were 4 Russian-speaking girls in the team. We became friends with the whole team. Participated in many activities. Evening shows, like everywhere else, are mediocre.
Evening disco is good. DJ Levan played Russian music for us. : ))))
The sea is certainly shallow. In the mornings it was even cold, in the afternoon it warmed up and it was fun to lie there.
We went on excursions to Bodrum and Pomukalle. We got a lot of impressions.
Didim himself did not like it. It's just that he's tearing up. The British are buying property there in droves. Last year we rested in Kusadasi, it cannot be compared with it.
In general, the holiday was a success. We went there with horror after reading the negative reviews. But we decided not to bother and not pay attention to many problems. It's not all bad. the most important thing is that you are going to rest, and not to look for jambs and problems.
In order.
They settled me on the first floor with a view of the chicken coop / rabbitry and the garbage dump. The window cannot be opened at all - immediately a terrible smell from the garbage. Sitting on the balcony is also no pleasure, as you know. I immediately asked to change the number, but they said that it was impossible on that day, because. the hotel is full. I tend to believe this, because the people really were full. But I appreciated all the charm of accommodation early in the morning with roosters in the literal sense. Ku-ka-re-ku at five in the morning on vacation, when you want to sleep off - this is already more than...
Two days later I was moved (oh, what it cost me! - I had to hammer them several times a day) - a room on the fourth floor with a beautiful view of the sea and the pool. The beauty. But even here it has its shortcomings - it is forced to disappoint everyone again. Below is a restaurant and a bar, and a little to the right is an amphitheater. Animation ends at 11pm. But the bar is usually open for quite a long time, and even if it is closed, people still buzz after midnight. This is to the fact that if you want to go to bed early, again, you can’t open the balcony. Why do I so rest against the open window - a very pleasant cool breeze from the sea in the evenings, which, you see, is much better and healthier than air conditioning. Somehow, after all, the people calmed down early and I left the balcony open. But! I did not take into account the annoying little things - a mosque was built nearby. And, as expected, at 04.30 in the morning, the mullah called everyone to prayer. . .
So, wherever you are settled, if you want to sleep - only with tightly closed windows... This does not save you from a rooster, however.
To be honest, I don’t understand how it was possible to build a hotel with a claim to five stars in such a place - wall to wall with a chicken coop. At the reception they say that this does not apply to them. That's right, but you should have thought about the neighborhood from the very beginning. As for the mosque, since the hotel was originally built for the Turks, I think this does not bother them. Although, as far as I know, this is a secular state and, unlike other Muslim countries, people do not observe prayer so strictly there.
Well, this is a dump! Under the windows of the rooms, in a hot climate! What the owners thought is a mystery.
The rooms are small for a 5 star. When I checked in, there was an extra in the room. bed (removed immediately, fortunately), and so, sleeping places in this case occupy almost the entire area of the room. So if you go as a family with a child - just do not turn around. Separate article - bed linen. For some reason, instead of a blanket in a duvet cover, or at least sheets and blankets - a hard and unpleasant to the touch coverlet.
As for cleaning, it depends on the conscientiousness of the maid. Everything about my first room was just perfect. Everything is clean, washed and cleaned. In the second, as I understood, they simply changed towels, and spun swans from sheets. It would be better to wash the floor and wipe the table and bedside tables. Somehow I accidentally dripped juice on the table and did not wipe it off - I come - the stain remained. Out of interest, I did not wipe it - the same result. Well, not proud, I removed it myself : -) The glasses were not washed either, by the way. And all this despite the fact that I left tips regularly.
The hotel area is small. Everything you see in the photos between the hotel and the sea - that's the whole area. The photo also enlarges, by the way. The hotel itself actually looks quite as pompous as in the photo. Much more compact. Those. nowhere to go in the evening. There is nothing in the village, just houses. You can go to Didim by minibus without air conditioning - I didn’t have a desire. Taxi is very expensive. They've got gas for three dollars.
Dining room. It is a dining room, because it can not be called a restaurant.
I warn you right away that it is better to come for breakfast from 08.00 to 09.00, for lunch and dinner - by the end.
Why is that:
- in all NORMAL hotels, if breakfast starts at 07.30 - then at that time everything is absolutely ready. If it is planned to prepare scrambled eggs / scrambled eggs / pancakes on the spot by the cook, then the cook is already standing and preparing; if freshly squeezed juice (albeit for an additional fee) - the waiter is standing and already squeezing, etc. Immediately the cook starts cooking after eight, before that the stove warms up for half an hour. Any diluted juices are brought from the kitchen somewhere closer to nine o'clock, the boy begins to prepare freshly squeezed orange juice around the same time. For me, this is completely incomprehensible. Why can't everything be prepared ahead of time?
Yes, there are not many people at breakfast from eight to nine, you can safely choose a comfortable table. After nine there is already a crowd and the resulting long queue for scrambled eggs / pancakes.
- It is better to come for lunch at 14.00, i. е. half an hour before the end, for dinner - at 20.30. At all other times, there is a HUGE number of people, you can’t find a table, and even queues for a hot one... As soon as you arrive, immediately put on plates what you are going to eat, right down to dessert / watermelon / melon / fruits and drinks. Otherwise, already at 14.20 / 20.50 the waiters slowly take everything to the kitchen. And you also risk losing what you have already brought for yourself. I had one unpleasant moment: I forgot to take tea for dessert and went for it. I return with a cup - the waitress removes the plates from the table, including my dessert, and puts someone's dirty plate right on top of it. Well, I speak English well and the girl understood everything. No, I did not yell in any way, but simply explained what the problem was. But what do you think? In a NORMAL hotel, with such an oversight, the waiter would first of all apologize and bring me a new dessert in return. This one pouted, pulled my plate out of the pile, put it on the table, turned and went to clean the rest of the tables. What is it?
As for the quality of food - everything is delicious, I have no complaints here. But the choice of hot is small - usually chicken and meat, two options, which is simply UNACCEPTABLE for five stars. A lot of vegetables, cooked in every way, for vegetarians just expanse. A good dessert table, but mainly for those who love oriental sweets. Fortunately, I belong to them, so at least here the hotel managed to please me. But there is no ice cream. Only for money.
What is still not clear to me in this hotel is that you have to take care of the drinks yourself. And for lunch and dinner. You go to the bar and order, they pour you, and you bring it to your table yourself. In all NORMAL five-star hotels, a waiter comes to the table, takes the order and brings it. And four stars too, for that matter.
You also have to take care of the appliances yourself. At the very beginning, of course, they are laid out on the tables, but then they are in no hurry to add them.
Only instant coffee (horror), tea - in a large thermos, quite strong and tasty - but for those who love Turkish black tea. For everyone else - bags.
Ordinary drinking water in large bottles is usually taken to the room from the restaurant, otherwise just buy for money, or run to the cooler. It seems like you can’t do it - take away the bottle, but after all the “gifts” of this hotel, I personally didn’t give a damn about it.
There is a bar in the hotel and by the pool. On the beach, a house is also provided for him, it even says "Beach Bar", but in fact, sun loungers and umbrellas are stored in this room. All this is also inconvenient, because. dragging from the sea to the pool is not always a hunt, you know.
If you face the sea, then on the right in the very corner of the beach there is a small private bar where you can drink wonderful Turkish coffee. Also there is tea, ice cream, other drinks, hookah. But it's all about money.
The sea is shallow, which is very good for children and those who swim poorly. First, the water was knee-deep for a long time, then to the hips, then again knee-deep, then waist-deep, and already at the buoys and behind them you can swim normally. There is often wind and small waves, but it's even nice. The only thing is when the waves, the sea is no longer so transparent, but this is because of the sand.
The beach is small. More or less clean.
I can’t say anything about the animation - I didn’t notice it. The animators did something, of course, but by the pool. And it was even reluctant to go to the evening program.
I did not swim in the pool, but even with the naked eye it was clear that it was dirty. But they chlorinate it shamelessly in the evenings, the smell is the same.
I can give the hotel three stars, and even then with an interference - only because the hotel building is beautiful.
In general, if it were not for the wonderful excursions, then the rest would not have been a success. I went to the temple of Apollo, Ephesus and Pamukkale (a wonderful excursion for two days), a boat trip with the island of Cleopatra. Tez Tour works very well, everything is organized perfectly. Transfers on time, everything is convenient. The guides are just great, very knowledgeable, with a great desire to make the tour interesting for everyone. Special thanks to the hotel guide Oksana. She helped in everything, but unfortunately, she does not own the hotel and cannot significantly change anything.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND the hotel at all. Those who are already going there, consider my review, I hope it helps and you will know what to expect. And for everyone else, I wish to spend money on another good and worthy FIVE-STAR hotel.
