The hotel is located in the village of Gumbet, which is 5 km from the center of Bodrum, minibuses called "Dolmush" constantly go to it, the fare is 1.75 new Turkish lira. I advise you to choose a hotel in Gumbet. Not big, but very nice hotel, service is excellent, special thanks to the waiters Zeki and Yusuf, as well as the girl from the Reception - Esra. The room was cleaned every day, towels were also changed daily, for a tip, the maid cleaned the bed decoratively: she left flowers on the bed, laid out a heart with towels, etc.
The food at the hotel is super, there are no complaints, a good variety of salads, hot and sweet, pleasant atmosphere, a terrace overlooking the sea, especially in the evening it is very beautiful. There is only one minus - a terrible beach, the bottom is not even, a lot of stones, the first time I dived into the water, I hit my head on a stone, it hurt. In the evenings, guests gather on the roof or terrace of the hotel (I don’t know how it will be right), there is a bar counter, dancing. the playground, the waiters who are constantly trying to turn on the guests, especially liked the fact that every day they arrange a synchronized dance to the Latin American song "Tequila Boom Boom", it's a lot of fun when everyone lines up in several rows and dances in sync. Youth and family there 50/50.
Special greetings to the girls - Marina, Olya and Nastya (from Kemerovo), and Vika and Olya (from St. Petersburg) - YOU ARE SUPER, I LOVE YOU, HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN!! ! About Bodrum - tourists from Western Europe are not the most disciplined and cultured, but Russian-speaking - no matter what they say, they were the most normal and interesting... respect!
And, finally, the rest does not depend on the hotel, but on the mood and your activity that you put in. Be sure to take excursions and walks, but not at the hotel, but in Gumbet or Bodrum at local agencies (there is always a Russian-speaking guide), it turns out much cheaper. Ten days was not enough, I would have stayed for a longer period.
THANK YOU "GUNDEM RESORT HOTEL"!! ! THANKS "BODRUM"!
Yermeshka. . .
Hotel. Not just small, but tiny! Very cozy area, greenery, flowers, surroundings, everything is nice. We settled quickly, thanks to the guide Lena, as requested. Room (my husband and I alone) with a sea view. And without additional fees. Friends were less fortunate. View of the courtyard, 1st floor, so they could not open the curtains, and the room was always dark. Maybe they have the specifics of such numbers 2 + 1. But they did not change, because. the rooms were even worse. The hotel is old, plumbing - respectively. Each room has a French balcony (small), bath (not shower), individual air conditioning, hair dryer. Everything is working. 1 Russian channel-RTR PLANET. And do you need more? The rooms are clean, the repair was like in 2004. They didn’t clean it, (yes, it was clean with us), and the bedding and towels were changed every day without reminders. Tips were left every other day at $1. They did not show off with decorations. Once a heart was made from towels with flowers. It was nice to coincide with our wedding anniversary.
The food is not replete with assortment - a small hotel, 69 rooms in total, and is rarely full. Breakfast: boiled eggs, scrambled eggs or pancakes. Cheese, cheese. Sliced sausages, olives, olives, cereals with milk, buns, sweets (3-4 types), tea bags 4 types: berry, apple, local herbal, black lipton, coffee, juice-diluted concentrate - normal, water. Dinner. Soup, hot - 2 types, salads - 6-7, sweets. Afternoon snack - in the snack bar by the pool: coffee, juice, french fries, hamburger, by 17.00 (to close) they bring a cupcake, which is sorted out in seconds. Dinner: hot (meat or fish or chicken, 2 types of side dishes, and + what was at lunch. It is pleasant to have dinner on the open terrace overlooking the sea and the pool. The minus of this hotel is very little fruit! There was always a watermelon (for some reason not very ripe), several times melon (not ripe), 1 time apples, 2 times plums, 2 times peaches (not very ripe) 1 time grapes. Meat and eggplants are very tasty. Meat, by the way, is different. Drinks are probably like everywhere else: free cola, diluted juices, tea, coffee, local alcohol, local beer (Efes Pilsen) - I didn’t drink myself, but they say it’s better than Baltic.
Beach: tiny, (5 meters wide, 40 meters long) small pebbles with sand. Enough sunbeds and umbrellas for everyone. The water space is limited to 30 meters. Bad bottom. Large and sharp stones create different depths everywhere. I often injured my legs. The Aegean Sea is a little cold. (23) in a heat of 40-50 We swam in the pool with great pleasure. True, less salty than Mediterranean. Sunbathing is real until 10.30, then it is better to move to the pool. And there until 12.00. very hot. Everything on the sites: photos of the hotel, content is honest. (except for the night soup, there is none, despite the concept of the hotel, and the manager assures that this is normal). Another unpleasant moment was that the hotel managers in the gym and indoor pool are relaxing with you. And they look clearly in such a way that you interfere with them. Like it's for hotel workers. There are few Russians. Only the waiters understand Russian, and then something else. Children are adored, entertained as best they can. There are no slides.
No animation! It seems that it’s not necessary, but Rexena is nearby, and all of us somehow looked longingly at the entertainment there (the fence is low). The hotel does not steal! We left everything in the room (of course not in plain sight), but did not take the safe. In the neighboring WOW Bodrum resort, even safes were broken into. I advise you to take a Turkish bath from the hotel guide from Tez Tour upon arrival! This pleasure costs differently, depending on which massage you choose (my friend and I took solar care ($ 75) + a gift of reflexology, men - Asian miracle ($ 95) - were very pleased. Trips from the tour operator are 15 more expensive $ 25. Pammukale, (road 4 hours), - many thanks to the guide Zhamila, smart girl! The excursion turned out to be very pleasant despite the fatigue. Dalyan - $ 55, from the street - $ 35. My husband went rafting from Margaret Tour for $ 50, I liked it, he said, Tez rafted with them in the same boat. And they cost $ 70. We arranged a survey of Bodrum ourselves. On Dolmush we drove to the center for $ 3 together, walked around the mausoleum ($ 8), the fortress ($ 10), the amphitheater ($ 5), the gates of Myndos (free of charge) and returned home on foot. Really. In time, everything took 4.5 hours. Car rental is not profitable. Expensive gasoline - $ 2.5 liter, $ 40 rent and the same amount of insurance. Water activities on the beach from $30.
In the evening, Bodrum and Gumbet are the most youthful places. In Turkey, Bodrum is like Sochi in Russia. All the elite and secular parties are there, Turkish oligarchs live there and local stars have a rest. Don't expect cheap gold, our prices are even higher. Silver is cheaper than ours. Textiles are cheaper (bed linen, towels). The rest is more expensive. It is famous for Olive oil, soap from it. No wine, even collectible. In general, local (Turkish) fruits, berries and vegetables have neither taste nor aroma. And the wine comes out to match. We had a good rest. 10 days is more than enough. The hotel, of course, does not correspond to 4 *. Troika. This is a hotel for families with children under 2 years old, and for the elderly, if you do not leave it, there are long steep ascents and descents around. Pleasant rest for those who are going to. The main thing to remember: we make the rest pleasant for ourselves.
