By tradition - at first we were settled in the worst room - in the building directly above the dining room. The room there is of course cool inside, but outside - tin. The window overlooks a common balcony, a view of the road and the cemetery, and most importantly - the noise. The air conditioner is noisy from the restaurant, and the exhaust hood from the kitchen just yells, and since the building is close to the pool, the music plays from morning to 11 pm.
We were with a sick, feverish child and immediately asked the guy at the reception to change the room to a quieter one, so that the child could sleep at least a couple of hours after arrival. Surprisingly, without money, we were moved to a quiet building at the very beginning of the hotel, and from that moment it was already a wonderful holiday (not counting mosquitoes. I had to buy a fumigator and lotion in the migros). Child on the trail. day was on his feet, and a day later he had already begun to swim - here it is the sea air in action.
So, about the hotel:
1) It is located an hour from the center of Bodrum, 15 minutes from the center of Turgurtreis, and 10 minutes from the center of Akyarlar. Minibuses (dolmus) run every 20-30 minutes in both directions. To Turgurtreis - 4 liras ($1) To Bodrum - 7 liras ($2). Despite the fact that in the supermarket Migros is changed at the rate of 5.8 lira for 1 dollar. That is, it is better to pay for travel in lira. Local traders change - 1:5. To the ferry on about. Kos (Greece) - 10 minutes in Turgurtreis (stop - D-Marin).
At night, from the beach, a stunning view of the lights of Greece across the strait and Turkish cottages in the mountains.
To the sea from the hotel - about 150-200m. Between the hotel and the sea is another unfinished hotel. The beach is sandy and clean. At the entrance to the sea 1-2 meters of stones, it is not very convenient to go out, but the legs are not prickly and not slippery. Although the sea was 26 degrees, it seemed cool in the first 2 days, then they got used to it. When there are no waves, it is perfectly transparent, the bottom is clearly visible near the buoys, even when you are swimming. Sooooo salty. Skin pulls when dry.
Most of the sun loungers and umbrellas are aluminum with fabric. Very cool and comfortable in the last rows are burlap umbrellas and plastic sunbeds with mattresses. The first line of sunbeds is occupied at 7 am. And as usual, they may not appear there until lunch, or even all day. If you come at 9-10 in the morning, you will run all over the beach looking for sunbeds and an umbrella. And there is only in the last rows - plastic. The same theme at the pool.
2) The contingent of vacationers.
50-70% Turks. At first, upon arrival, we tensed up - for the first time we rest with so many locals. But then, on the contrary, they were even very happy - very pleasant and polite people. What can not be said about other nationalities. Especially the Czechs. This is the second time I have come across them on vacation - Russians and Ukrainians are on vacation. Insolent, loud, boozy, ill-mannered children and always screaming. The men are kind of aggressive. If you are accidentally hooked somewhere by a Turkish vacationer, he will apologize - and in English. And if the Czech - then he also swears in your direction in his own way. I was a little shocked by them.
The rest are all the peoples of Europe. About a dozen Russians, a couple of dozen Ukrainians. And one plane brought us 12 people. Poles, Scandinavians, Germans, Dutch, etc. What bothered me the most was how much they smoked. And the Turks, and especially the Europeans. Everywhere. On the beach, on the balconies, in the restaurant, everywhere.
3) The staff is very polite, like bees huddle. Almost no one knows Russian.
But every second knows a little English. The animation is unobtrusive, but you will not be bored. The black animator is just handsome. Actor, dancer, merry fellow - an unrealistically positive dude. Sabrina - children's animator, smart girl. Although she does not speak our language, my little one was delighted. Thanks to her, I learned many new English words and expressions.
The waiters are very polite. When we just arrived and were waiting for check-in, we decided to go look around and maybe have something to eat. It was the beginning of 12 noon and breakfast had already ended, so they just saw us and immediately sat us down at the table, brought water, juice, sandwiches, scrambled eggs, fruits, vegetables to our son. They swarm around us in a crowd. It was very nice.
4) Food is good. Of course, there were no shrimp, freshly squeezed juices and salmon. But for the money it's just great.
for breakfast 4 types of cereal with milk, eggs, vegetables, pasta, potatoes, fruits, watermelon, croutons, a lot of jams and sweet toppings, tea, coffee in unlimited quantities, I didn’t drink alcohol, juices - not yupi, but also natural ones very similar, probably diluted juices or juice-containing drinks (in Europe there are many of these in markets). For lunch and dinner there is always a lot of meat, grilled meat and vegetables, fish was 4 times a week. Everything is very delicious.
I have not tried their local salads - visually dumb, but the Turks themselves rowed with a bang. Once there was ice cream, a bunch of different types. Sweets are standard. Apples, Plums, nectarines, oranges, bombed watermelon and melon, sultanas. New portions were brought out all the time. There was almost always enough for everyone. Despite the fact that the hotel was packed with people to the eyeballs. When leaving, they gave a lunchbox - but we left it, because there was inedible sausage and very salty cheese. we had brought fruit and rolls with us in advance and made sandwiches.
Separately, I want to unsubscribe about the flight. Three of us flew: me, my wife and a six-year-old child who had a fever. How did we oh... whether in Boryspil, when we were denied registration in neighboring places. They said that the computer decides everything and in general they have no information that the third passenger is a 6 year old child. Well, the fact that he has a temperature is a pity, well, ask to change on the plane already. Thanks to the people who gave us their seats. But the joke is that back from Bodrum, I asked the girl to give places nearby, to which we received the answer: - Ok. No problem!
It turns out that in Ukraine they are even trying to raise money on such things, so that people order online places and pay 4 euros for each ????
We flew with UIA. The planes are very cool, new, spacious. Landing and takeoff are the best I've ever flown.
well, that seems to be it. Sorry for the big text
We settled quickly without problems. The room is modest, the view from the window is beautiful, we can say we were lucky. Towels are generally terrible, washed in and in different spots. There was no place to dry, it turns out you had to take drying ropes with you . .
Power. There were no frills, everything was sooo modest. I would like more fruits besides apples and an orange, and besides boiled sausage, a fish would not hurt, but...... Special thanks to the chef, very attentive to the guests. The plates were broken and poorly washed, the tables were not always wiped on time.
We will not go to Petunia for the second time
We arrived at 10:45, according to the standard procedure at the hotel reception provided passports, filled out a mini-questionnaire and we immediately saw the key to the room. I didn't have to wait until 14:00. This is despite the fact that we did not even pay $ 20. Our luggage was taken away and taken to the room. The area is very beautiful, everything is in bloom (seasonal or always - I do not know).
The room was clean, clean, all in white (even plasma), the renovation seemed fresh, no complaints. Rested with a friend together, settled in a room with three (not too wide) beds. Cleaned daily. The dollar was left only twice, the quality of cleaning was not affected.
The hotel has several three-story buildings. Ours was close to the main building (with reception), so Wi-Fi in our room worked without problems.
Although he was supposed to work only in the lobby.
The food is delicious and plentiful. 70 percent - the standard range, 30 percent - changed daily. There was always enough meat. There is a diet and a dissertation. Of the fruits, mostly apples and oranges. Sometimes some green cream, apricots, strawberries. Fruit, I think, is served according to the season. I am sure that there will be more in the summer.
Drinks. Juices - yuppie powder; circles, sprite - ordinary; beer - 60% water; wine - sour cream with the smell of kerosene; gin and tonic, whiskey cola - such as hide (ie good, we drank them), I liked their vodka - crayfish (with sprite).
The service is excellent. Probably because there were not so many guests, they were served at the highest level. The waiters are very polite, constantly offer drinks, pour water, instantly pick up plates after meals, bring cutlery, if you notice that you have already taken or not somewhere. However, the bartenders did not like it. Not very nice people.
They could discuss it with you in Turkish, knowing that you do not understand them.
Sea. The beach is clean, the sea is clear, no matter how much I swam, I see the bottom and my feet. In May, it was cold to go into the water, but after 2 minutes of swimming, you get used to it. Also, the sea is very salty, after leaving you need to go to the shower (there is on the beach), if not - you dry up and you have salt left. Many sunbeds, mattresses, beach towels (issued separately). There was always enough.
Animation. Super. There is a sports animator who always offers beach volleyball, water polo in the pool, basketball on the sports field, tennis (the last 2 were not very popular). 80 percent of evening shows are very cool and fun.
After the show - go nowhere, because the hotel is far from the city. You can book a disco tour for 10 euros per person, recruit a group - and take to Gumbet or Bodrum. We didn't take it, so I don't know how it is.
The staff speaks only English (and we were quite satisfied).
There were three Russians, two of us Ukrainians and one Belarusian couple with a child. Mostly Poles and Czechs, but also a little from Europe: Denmark, Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands.
PS Some of the Turks did not even know that Ukraine has its own Ukrainian language. And we thought that we should shine with happiness only because they could tell us something in Russian. Therefore, we ask our compatriots not to forget that we are still representatives of OUR state abroad.
About the reception: responsive and friendly guys.
Since we arrived very early, they didn’t check us in immediately, but we didn’t get bored in the lobby, but left our suitcases in a special room next to the reception, had breakfast, walked around the hotel, and then had fun playing billiards and table tennis (everything in free access, no extra charge, located on the floor below the reception, before lunch this game room is always empty : )).
About food: You will never be hungry. There is always meat (I read that in other hotels there is tension with it). They cook delicious. The restaurant staff always watches the tables (so that there are cutlery, water, etc. , they are quickly cleaned).
Territory of the hotel: Small, but it is typical for Bodrum. Very beautiful, especially in the evening with the illumination of the columns and the pool (every day a different color, creates a sense of celebration).
Pool: Compact (children next to adults). People hang out mostly here, so it's noisy, fun, animation entertains everyone. The beds are full. On weekends, there is usually an influx of tourists (local families come to relax).
Beach: If you want peace and quiet, then you are here : ))))). The sea is amazingly clean and transparent. Be sure to take your mask and snorkel! There are always free sun loungers and awnings from the sun. Walk 2 minutes to the beach.
Tourists: Mostly Poles, Turks and toli Belgians, toli guests from the Netherlands (did not quite understand the language). There are very few Russians. I don’t know if the staff speaks Russian, but I think not, we always spoke in English. The weekend was full of guests. There were not enough tables for dinner, but the administration and staff were pleasantly resourceful and organized additional places and appliances for everyone, no one was waiting in line and was not left without attention.
Rooms: large, clean. We had a small balcony, it was convenient to dry things.
Cleaning: Special thanks to the maid for the cleanliness and order in our room : ) and for the beautiful figures on the bed (even without extra charge : ))
Sea: Cold for me (for the Aegean Sea this is the norm). Husband liked it. I was freezing after 20 minutes in the water. There is a constant cold breeze on the beach, that is, it is hot in the sun, and in the shade after swimming you become covered with goose bumps from the cold. But on the other hand, the water in the sea is clear, like in a pool, so you can put up with the coolness.
Entertainment: nothing special. During the day, animation by the pool, in the evening, a show from the animation team (comedy sketches are not very good, but they arranged hilarious contests with hotel guests (it was funny to tears, I liked that it didn’t go, within the bounds of decency). After the show, people usually disagreed who where: who -someone went on a disco tour with animation, someone just sat with a glass of something strong in the pool bar, someone went to bed, someone walked along the beach. In general, after 23:00 the hotel is quiet. disco next to the hammam, but it was empty.
Conclusion: Quiet family run hotel. Beautiful, clean, comfortable. You feel at home there. Yes, there were minor flaws (a leaky air conditioner in the room, a piece of iron under water on the beach to which the pontoon was attached and on which I badly hurt my leg because of the waves. ), But nothing is perfect and you can deal with any incidents without focusing on them too much attention.
I hope my review will help, dear compatriots : )
Among the shortcomings: there is a mothballed construction of new buildings on the territory (does not interfere with rest, but somewhat overshadows the view), a small territory (nowhere to walk), constant music by the pool (but I was at the sea - nothing bothered me), it was not always easy to find free table for dinner.
Rooms.
The rooms are good for a solid four, towels were changed every day and cleaned every day too. There is only one tile on the floor in the bathroom and in the room and there are no rugs, but the hotel specially has towels for the feet, which at first we did not dare to throw on the floor and then calmly wiped the floor of the room with it after a shower, because we knew that the next day we would change it. The bathroom is good, the shower with hot water, everything is in white tone. TV and air conditioning work well. Lived on the ground floor thought it would be bad but it was fine. no mosquitoes and flies and no living creatures in the rooms. We lived in room 501 both at night and during the day, if you want to relax, you can hear the music by the pool (it is better to take numbers with a number up to 501)
Territory.
Clean, well-maintained, separately located three-story houses with palm trees and beautiful flowers. One pool in which they swim and play water polo and do gymnastics. If there was another pool like this it would be GOOD!
One finally a small pool for children.
Service.
Excellent - 5! Let no one know Russian, but you can know broken English and explain everything to them (by the way, the staff know it normally)
Nutrition.
Good, varied, a lot of meat, not everything is tasty, but you could always find something to eat. First courses are just disgusting. LOVERS OF SOUPS AND BORSCH SHOULD BE SUFFERED.
The fruits were fresh. DELICIOUS WATERMELONS, THEY DO NOT HAVE VERY MELONS.
Plums, oranges.
Lots of vegetables, lots of sauces, lots of appetizers, lots of salads. BUT not much is suitable for our stomachs.
Men will not be hungry for sure.
Of the tourists, there were almost no Russians and our Slavs. IT'S NICE!!!
There was a couple from Belarus, a family from Russia, and we are from Kyiv.
The rest were: England, Spain, France, Iran, Azerbaijan, etc.
Beach.
Dirty, located outside the hotel, you have to walk 100 meters from the hotel and it seems that there may be a beach and locals.
The sea is dirty Aegean and cold!!!
VERY SALT FU HORROR!! ! It was disgusting for our girls especially. It was windy but you can swim in the pool.
for animation really 5+. Well done, plump little man is so cool! At first we didn’t go to the local animation, and then we regretted that we didn’t go)
You can go, it's worth 4 stars!
Sergey
I'll start from the beginning. Bodrum is very different from all Turkish cities. If anyone has been to Greece, he will find common features. The houses there are exceptionally white!! )) The city itself is located in a lowland, on the coast of the Aegean Sea. The water is cool, but amazing in its beauty, dark blue, emerald in the bays, the purest. Bodrum is translated from Turkish as a basement. The Turks themselves love this city very much, their families rest there. Very few Russians 10% of all hotel guests. Walk 2 minutes to the sea, this is the first line. It takes about an hour to get to Bodrum. But it’s better not to go alone, out of habit they get lost on tourists)). Streets, houses are all the same))) If you want to choose from the hotel, you can walk around the nearest village. 2.5 lira on a minibus, 3 stops. They bring it to the port, where you can order a sea tour on your own (it will cost $ 25), 2 times cheaper than the operators)))) Oh, and they are crooks)))
The hotel itself is not very big. But very comfortable and pretty. There are no big buildings. Charming houses on 3 floors, cozy rooms. All in white. The rooms are clean and again everything is white. Very conducive to calm relaxation. Bessin alone. It is cleaned every evening, and when it is illuminated in the dark, peace quietly and gently embraces you. There is a market on the territory, but it is better to go beyond it, 15 meters behind the hotel there are mini markets. Gentlemen smokers, take cigarettes with you. There are some very strange prices for tobacco. 5 bucks a pack of malbro (everywhere).
There is always a day manager on site. Therefore, the order. The owner himself likes to eat there in the evening with his family.
I return to the numbers. Towels are changed, rooms are washed and cleaned. Don't forget to put up signs. The furniture is new. Even though everything is new!
There are separate cottages. You can order. Very pretty))
The staff there are VERY very friendly. BUT UUPPS))))))))) They don't speak Russian. There are 2 people who speak Russian. ELINA animator, girl (little) 18 years old from Kazan and Animation Chief. Elina is a very friendly girl, she will always come and tell. will translate. Your kids will be very happy with her, she dances with them for days.
The restaurant is a different story. There the staff rustles and quietly quickly, imperceptibly. Smile and continue in the same rhythm. The guys at the bar are very cheerful, nimble. It seems to me that by August they will speak Russian))). But there you won’t spoil them very much. The chef of the restaurant Yasin, such a correct man. You can smile, but . . he builds them there not like a child. He works day and night and will not let them relax. That's right, maybe this is the perfect order.
The food there is very, very good. There are no queues. Always a variety of dishes. There was also a Turkish evening. Chicken, fish, turkey. Fruits: watermelons, oranges.
Fresh bakery. There were no old salads from lunch, it is clear that they were prepared from fresh products.
In the bar of alcohol: beer, gin, rake. (for free)
The private beach is not far away, clean. There are always sunbeds. Issue mattresses, your pantone. You are lying on the beach and in front of you is Greece... yes. yes. the island of Kos. 5 km. by sea. A military ship to this very important one floats. )))
In the evening, during the day, animation is always nearby. Company of course wow. DALY from Tunisia. Elya from Kazan. Jam (DJ) is Turkish in my opinion. There is also from Africa . . In general, you are provided with fun.
Afternoon pool. Show in the evening. Live music came, belly dance (Arabic), national Turkish dances were.
playground. tennis. basketball.
Your kids will arrange a disco, work out. There are no slides for them yet.
The hotel fully lives up to expectations. All 4 * boldly. No wild noise. But not boring either. I post pics. Judge for yourself. If you write I will answer. Lyalina2_70@mail. ru
