Elenka, what goals do you set for yourself - sightseeing, beach or SPA?
аватар Gudik
Costs. Tunisia is worth a visit regardless of the purpose. IMHO.

Read my review.

If you have the opportunity to visit another country, do it. Get a lot of new impressions and decide for yourself whether this country is suitable for a holiday for YOU PERSONALLY! My friends went to Tunisia (for the first time with two small children) and were very satisfied!

I really wanted to go and was also interested. And in the agencies and my friends they said one thing - if people go to Turkey 3 and 5 and 10 times, then Tunisia is limited to 1 time. As they explained to me, if you prefer a wide excursion program, then it will be interesting. If you are more located to rest on the territory of the hotel, then without much enthusiasm.
аватар Gudik
Everywhere you can relax with delight.
In Tunisia, a spa enthusiast rides if he is not interested in an excursion. For the spa in Hamammet.
People also go to Tunisia 5, 10 and 30 times ...
It's just that Tunisia is more expensive than Egypt and Turkey.
аватар Pachok
There is an excursion program in Tunisia, but not as rich as in the same Turkey. The beaches are public, the sea is muddy, the SPA is many times more expensive than in Southeast Asia, and they lose in quality. You can ski into the Sahara, visit Sidi Bou Said and Carthage in one visit, and the "quality of the sea" does not encourage a second visit. I do not argue with anyone, this is my subjective opinion.
аватар lanos
It's definitely worth a visit once. Those who have sat down for thalassotherapy go to Tunisia again.

Thanks for the answers ... Tell me, in Hammamet, the sea is really muddy ... everyone writes about the beautiful sea!

I was in Hammamet, the Mediterranean Sea, when the waves were muddy, the entry into the sea was sandy, gentle. The beaches are almost all from the hotel across the promenade.

I completely agree with Gudik.Pachok - very subjective ....)))

I have already been to many places (see my profile), but Tunisia would put in second place after the Dominican Republic. But not everyone likes the Dominican Republic either, so it's all purely subjective. I like this sea, this weather. In general, I liked everything, except for the prices. I regretted that I had never gone there before. believed the same rumors. But I will definitely go back and more than once. Just be prepared that 10 dollars. there is no money at all. And hotels are more expensive than Turkish ones. But 4 * there is better than any Egyptian five.

If we compare Turkey and Egypt, Tunisia wins a lot (over the past year and a half I have been there 4 times, only positive emotions)
аватар Pachok
How?
аватар Amir1
everyone
аватар Amir1
except prices
аватар Pachok
Amir1, well, this is not the answer :))))
If it doesn't make it difficult: the sea is better for that reason, hotels for that reason. I'm really wondering if I may have missed something. Because in my hit parade, Tunisia is at the very last place, like a country where I will not go again.

Pachok I say, it's purely individual. Yes, I liked the sea. This is not the case in Egypt, or even more so in Turkey. There is something similar in the Dominican Republic, only there is an ocean. He is in first place with me, and in Tunisia in second. Hotels - Egypt rests and is very far away. But then again, who needs what from the hotel. All this is only individually.
For example, for me the Dominican Republic is a paradise. But the Russians who were there with us spat. Why? Everything is simple. They did not go for nature, but to drink vodka. So it turned out that in Turkey you can also get drunk only to fly to Turkey closer and 3 times cheaper. I agree with them. Only now I went to the Dominican Republic for the beach and the jungle, and not for vodka.

In Tunisia, I was in the top three. Marabou, Suss. An excellent hotel (a cut above the hotels of this level in Turkey and Egi) with a mini water park. The sea is clean, the sand is snow-white ... Everything is fine. This is for those who like to lie on the beach ...
As an active tourist, it was interesting for me to see the sights ... I love all sorts of ruins ...
Dugga is something incredible... And Sahara? Sunset and sunrise in the desert, like you're in a fairy tale...
The only thing that annoyed was the local population ... flies, damn it ... then I realized that Arabs are different for Arabs ..
IMHO. Tunisia is worth seeing. At least once.

Tunisia reminded me of the Dominican Republic. So at night, walking barefoot along the beach in the moonlight, knowing that you definitely won’t get hurt for several kilometers, you can only fish with the locals in Tunisia. And there are so many things to name. I don't know how to explain it, you have to feel it. That's exactly the same as many people love Charm, and why they can't explain. It's in the soul.
аватар Gudik
+1 to Amir.
And to fall in love, you have to go there ...
аватар Amir1
Pachok let's go together and I'll show you what's cool in Tunisia :))))))))))))))
аватар Pachok
:))))))))))
Thanks for the offer!
I have several years ahead of plans for vacations and travel.

If you do not take thalassotherapy in Tunisia, then the price level is the same as in Turkey.
аватар Gudik
Do not tell me to sit in a cafe, a train, etc. probably twice cheaper than in Turkey ...
аватар sevgilim
Yesterday I arrived from Turkey - THE PRICES ARE JUST AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Much cheaper in Tunisia! If you compare hotels, then Tunisian three-ruble note is considered a Turkish four. Regarding Egypt, the same rigmarole scenes, maybe cafes a little cheaper than Turkey.
аватар sevgilim
I always go to Sousse - I have never seen a muddy sea in all my time!!! As for thalassotherapy, of course, Tunisia is much cheaper. Bath procedures in the hammam are also better in Tunisia. I personally, after the Turkish hammam, did not understand why I gave the money

All my answers start the same way - they were in early September of this year in Tunisia, Hammamet. The first 3 days the sea was just terrible - everything is black from small algae, no numerous hotel nets saved us. After 3 days, the sea cleared up, the coast of 10-15 meters is cleaned there regularly, as I understand it, because we did not see any mountains of algae. So after 3 days the sea became clean-excellent-transparent-warm. Swimming did not want to get out of the water. The beach is good sandy, the entrance to the sea is gentle - 10 meters shallow, with children it is very convenient.
There are few excursions (I compare with Egypt) about 8 pieces and on strictly defined days (we went with Nord). The excursion to the zoo was without a guide at all, in Egypt we did not encounter this.
Knowledge of at least one common European language is required, locals do not speak Russian, service staff. staff. At least Polish.
Prices are higher than Egyptian ones (souvenirs).
Tunisia is called the country of one tour, I think it's true, for lovers of excursions. Main excursion. for 2 days in the Sahara, almost the whole of Tunisia will show you. I would go there again because I didn’t work out with the ex-s, on this (Sahara) excursion. missed
