From all resorts there should be such excursions. There is that Tunisia, how the cat cried)))
If you like all sorts of ruins, such as Karfanega, then, IMHO, it is much more interesting to visit Dugga.

We paid 70 dinars - something like 60 bucks at that time.
The tour consisted of a trip to Tunis, then to Sidi Boussaid (a city with blue shutters and doors), then to the Bardo Museum. Of all this, only the museum was normally looked at (and really excellent, there are many, for example, beautiful Roman mosaics), in the city of Tunisia there was no time for anything, and Busaid is not so different from Hammamet to trudge there.
In my personal opinion, it was not worth it - we wasted the day, trudging through the heat. Here is an excursion to the Sahara for 2 days - it's interesting, and there was enough time. I can’t say anything about Dugga, because. we didn't go there.

I forgot to write the most important. We were taken to the ruins of Carthage! Immediately after the city of Tunisia! :) But the ruins did not impress - they are too... collapsed :) You need to have a strong imagination to see there, in fact, Carthage. But if you are not tired of the ruins and there is an interest in archeology - maybe it's worth a trip.

Carthage Dugga is no match. Two pipes are sticking out... that's actually all the ruins... And in Dugga there are 15 hectares of an ancient Roman city, where mosaics are still preserved in the houses on the floors. Dugga is very impressive.
IMHO, in Tunisia, be sure to visit the Sahara and Dugga, and everything else is optional.
