I'm TERRIBLY afraid of jellyfish! What are the chances of meeting them?
And not only jellyfish, but fish in general. We want to fly in August in the last decade. Maybe at some resort in Tunisia they don’t exist at all ??

There are no fish in the Mediterranean. Well, at least near the beach :) Jellyfish are unpredictable as far as I know. We were scared that they are in July, but we did not see a single one.

In early September, there were jellyfish (Sousse region), but not many. Jellyfish are like algae, they burn strongly.

And in July we swam 2 times in 3 weeks, because there were a lot of jellyfish. The child was stung by one, for a whole month there was a scar from a burn.

Yes, this is the biggest trouble in Tunisia - the sea is gorgeous, the sand is golden, but ... jellyfish almost all summer, last year I was stung 3 times in 7 days, my girlfriend - 2 times, and one of my scars remains to this day ( in the form of a dark stripe on the arm), after that they went into the sea very vigilantly and several times avoided being bitten.

Yes, I also didn’t swim in July because of jellyfish - it’s not that rare specimens drifted there, but it was really just soup from jellyfish - you go into the water and start raking them with your hands. Complaining and disgusting. It was in Mahdia.

I was talking about the island of Djerba, sorry, I forgot to write.
There, apparently, it's easier with this

There are jellyfish in August. And not a few. They sting very painfully. And the Arabs immediately run up to you with a tomato. They seem to relieve pain and swelling ... but somehow nothing helped me ((((

there are practically none in Djerba, in Hammamet also especially from September to November (this period is the most comfortable climate in Tunisia)

I'm terribly afraid of them even when we went to the sea for 3 days, I can't even help my legs, please help somehow !!!!!!!!!! :-))))))))

How can I help you? I swam the whole holiday in the pool, although I usually disdain them. It was a shame to come so far and be so deceived by the sea.

I am also very afraid of jellyfish, but I get used to it if they don’t sting. They were met only once in Sharm in mid-February, yellowish-orange, elongated, appeared literally in two days, gave birth to babies, and then they themselves swam in broken pieces. Both adults and babies of jellyfish swam in the form of compote, clung to the mask, hands, but did not pinch. Pachok, tell me, are there jellyfish in Antalya in June and July?
аватар Pachok
In Antalya, I have never seen a single jellyfish in 15 years of travel. Usually we drive "to the left" from Antalya - the Kemer region and further to the west, and to the Aegean coast. So I can’t give guarantees for Alanya and Side :)
