Excursion cost
I want to buy 7 excursions. Can you please tell me if the guides give discounts for buying such a quantity? Maybe take a tour of the city?

What are you about?!

As for the discount, I don’t know, but if you buy in the city, then for the same money. In Tunisia, all excursion programs are standardized and approved at the state level. So speculation in tourism is impossible for them.

On the street, in principle, they do not sell excursions - this is not Turkey or Egypt. You can only buy unfortunately from the guide, the prices are not the cheapest. In principle, an excursion to Carthage costs 65 dinars per person, the two of us took a taxi and drove independently along the route of the Bordeaux Museum, Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, Medina in the capital. It cost about the same price if taken from the guide (110 din. + entrance tickets). The only thing is that they themselves walked as much as they wanted and without the crowd.

I join the opinion of galeb75, it is much more convenient to take a taxi, especially since the distance between the main tourist sites is very small. You can rent a car with a driver, they know all the sightseeing routes and can combine several excursions into one.

Sorry for the bad review..
I think that you can get 10% by bargaining with the guide. This is completely normal, especially in the east. In the city, excursions are a little cheaper, but there may be lower quality and lack of responsibility of the host.
What I recommend to see is the Desert, an abandoned Canyon with a train, Caruan, Tabarka, Tunisia itself, Sidi Bou Said, Carthage, go to the mountains to the lakes (far but interesting)
If you plan to see a lot, can you take a car?

I love organized tours, let them bring, show and take back. So you can count the time and not worry about anything. Moreover, I go alone and don’t drive a car :) I just know that a couple of years ago, when buying 2-3 excursions, they gave 1 as a gift ... has everything really changed there?

In June 2007, we (2 adults and a child) traveled almost all of Tunisia by public transport (we lived in Sousse), except for the Sahara. Trips cost us 2-3 times cheaper than excursions. And we looked more. We weren't offered any discounts...

I know that excursions in Tunisia are not sold "on the street" as in Egypt and Turkey, but only from guides on the other side. But to negotiate a discount with a guide - this is already based on your ability to bargain. Maybe give in a little.
