- If you want to take a break from Russians and from Russian speech in particular, then you will definitely like this hotel! Russians rarely come here. (For example, we were the only Russians in the hotel for about 10 days). It is quite possible to communicate with the staff in broken English)))
- The weather at that time was excellent - +26 degrees - heat, but not to say that it was unbearable. The sea was still cold in the morning. The beach was cool, with a light breeze. By 12 o'clock the weather was gaining momentum and it was already possible to swim and sunbathe. Umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach are free.
- We had 2 meals a day (breakfast, dinner), but the hotel also provides 3 meals a day (so it's better to arrange this in Moscow or pay extra on the spot). They feed quite well. Buffet. There is also a cafe on site. Too expensive, in my opinion. If you order a pizza, keep in mind that it is large - it will definitely be enough for two.
- The hotel has an excellent animation team! (I don’t know about other hotels, but they really work well and from the heart) A varied entertainment program for the whole day. For 10 days, the evening program is different (fakirs, dancers, magic tricks, etc. )
- The airport is close to the hotel. You can see the departure of the aircraft. But it doesn't interfere at all. Doesn't make any loud noise.
- The rooms are cleaned every day. Tip = 1 dinar = the maid will smile sweetly at you, treat you with attention, make the bed with imagination and lay out a dressing gown in the shape of a rose))
Animation is present. (generally corresponds to the description that you will find on the Internet).
Cons (in my opinion):
1. Language barrier (no one speaks Russian, but only English at the reception).
2. The hotel is located between the two cities of Sousse and Monastir. The metro stop is about 1.5 km away, not far to go, but. . .
(Although by and large there is nothing special to do in these cities)
3. Near the airport. Airplanes fly intermittently.
I took it easy, but the fact is the fact...
4. The sea is clean, the water is clear, but shallow. (about 50 m you have to walk to swim, for - children - a big plus... )
5. Of course there is some discrimination against our tourists. If you only quarrel, you will be given a room with a sea view, etc.
And so do not expect that they will spread out in front of you.
Conclusions: the country is interesting, to travel, to see (the desert, Carthage, Tunisia, etc. ), but if you go to rest in October (I don’t know how in Tunisia in the summer), then you have to go to the Red Sea !! ! And only there! !
So the hotel. The room is standard. The beach is normal. This is where the good ends and the bad begins:
1. They steal! a lot and on trifles, all that lies badly. Perfume (if there are two bottles, not full and full, they steal the full one), hundreds (this is no longer a trifle), T-shirts, everything that is new and more is pretty. They are afraid to steal expensive clothes. In short, they steal but know the measure, although it is very unpleasant. I advise you to definitely rent a safe ~ $ 3 per day.
2. There is no refrigerator/mini-bar in the room. Its rent costs $5 per day. Badly freezing ones come across, but they are not changed.
3. Staff - a separate conversation, everyone smiles but you and your problems are not taken seriously. All complaints
accept with a smile and that's it. The cleaners are very careless.
When cleaning our tour group, they broke several souvenirs left on the bedside tables (there is nowhere else to put them), an expensive statue of $ 100 was included in the number of broken souvenirs. There could be no question of compensation. Its repair was reduced to rough gluing with wood glue (although the statue was carved from solid wood, and when cracked, its value was reset to zero)
4. Prices. All prices at Rosa Beach are 10% higher than other 4-star hotels where our group stayed. In particular, in comparison with Golden Beach 4 * and Scanes Palace 4 *. A bottle of beer (300g) will cost you,
at 2.2$ and a cocktail with compari at 15$
5. Food and drink. Disgusting. To clarify: Never order cocktails there. They do not know how to do them and strongly
dilute. The buffet looks standard-beautiful. But everything is tasteless. They don't know how to cook meat. Vegetables too.
Fruit is often green. Melons are watery and tasteless. Powdered drinks in the morning are poison. They smell like chemicals. But you have to drink. T. to.
there is nowhere to get water, and a 900g bottle of water costs $1.5
If you suddenly want to go to the grill bar. Never order a grill! the portion is very small and 50%
will be in the form of coals. Don't order pizza either. The ingredients for their pizza never match the ingredients on the menu. No sausage or meat. Just a tortilla spread with tomato paste and a few tasteless mushrooms with herbs on top.
6. Waiters. If you give money more than necessary by 0.5-1$, don't expect a gift, when asked about it - just smile.
If you decide to buy wine - the waiters brazenly demand at least $ 3 tips.
And in general it is better to buy alcohol in duty free. before Tunisia. Otherwise, you simply won't find it. Beer and wine are sold only in the state. stores in the city center in small departments, except for Friday (the day of prayer or something). Forget about vodka and cognac. The hotel certainly has it, but it costs like molten gold.
