In principle, the territory is large, there are a lot of good ideas, but everything is somehow unfinished, a lot of cafe bars that do not work, or there is nothing interesting there, a wonderful cafe overlooking the sea, but you can’t buy alcohol there, even beer. The pool is generally guard - we never ventured to swim there, it is constantly full of local residents, mostly teenagers or young ladies in "bathing suits" - a dress to the heels, a T-shirt and a headscarf.

in general, how lucky, because our room turned out to be one of the best, except for the lack of a refrigerator and a TV
- convenient location - a beautiful view of the sea, far from screaming animation, everything works, central air conditioning - worked perfectly, you can freeze at night, so they asked for blankets at the reception, in general, the room is simple, but bright and of a normal size, there is a closet in the room , a couple of bedside tables, a mirror, an ottoman, a table with drawers, a table and a couple of wooden chairs on the balcony, no complaints, not five stars, but the hotel is quite pulling for its 3, I expected 60-80 rooms, there are at least 200, there is no elevator, the hotel as a whole is not very well maintained - they should be taken care of properly and it would be quite a decent hotel for 4 stars, but somehow strange

In principle, the hotel is normal, in the very center of Monastir, almost all rooms overlook the sea, the beach is across the road, everything is nearby - the Ribat fortress is right next to the hotel, a 5-minute walk from the square with the mausoleum of the 1st president of Tunisia, beautiful surroundings, clean warm sea is good.

The food at the hotel - breakfast sucks, it’s just that there weren’t worse in one camp, but there were 6 of them
details: no salads at all, no sausage, ham, there is no meat at all, from cheese only something similar to feta cheese but not salty (by the way, delicious - one of the most normal), boiled eggs, tomatoes, halva, some kind of jam, butter, long baguettes (they have good bread), sweet buns - they spread the food right away and then you have to guard when they bring the trail. a portion that also immediately diverges, from drinks tea, coffee, and "yupi" - I won’t call it otherwise, though on the 3rd day I ventured to try again - it was already much better - almost the taste of fanta, and this is all day after day without changes
good news - dinner is just super! variety, change of dishes, very tasty meat and fish, though without drinks, you can’t even buy in the dining room

To be honest, I expected better, on the first day I was just in shock. Shocked by the city, by the hotel, by the room, by everything! The room was changed three times, everything was broken in one, huge cockroaches ran in the other, the third was completely normal. Here, apparently, it’s a matter of luck, as you’re lucky, you’ll immediately get a good number, the reviews will be positive, if not, then like my review, it won’t be very flattering.

I also think that if they approached this hotel wisely, it would be wonderful! I warn you right away, if there are problems, talk about them, and if necessary, swear! But it is better if not with a person at the Reception, but with a manager or someone higher. In the sea, beware of Arabs and jellyfish, the word police helps from Arabs, it’s more difficult with jellyfish, if you just avoid them, if you’re unlucky and you are still stung by a jellyfish, attach a tomato to this place, it will become easier, tested in practice!
The city is dirty, but everything is known in comparison, after visiting the city of Sousse, Monastir seems to be just the cleanest! In August, the heat is terrible, and because of the high humidity, it becomes even worse. In general, if you go with a company, do not pay attention to dirt, and if you are lucky with a hotel room, the rest is very good. I strongly advise you to buy an excursion to the Sahara in the hotel from the tour operator, it's really amazing!

I will write about the hotel. Everything is very simple. There is no TV or hair dryer in the room. But it can be experienced. The food is tasty. The pool is one and small, there are a lot of Tunisians with their families resting, there are almost no Poles, Russians and Ukrainians. The Tunisians themselves (those who rested in the hotel) are very well-mannered people, this can be seen immediately.

The staff, in my opinion, is a little dissolute, but before that I had not rested in 3 * stars, I could be wrong, maybe for a hotel of this level and good employees.
Now about the location: a huge plus is that the hotel is in the heart of the city. The bazaar, the mausoleum and the Ribat monastery (and these are the main attractions of the city) are within easy reach - 200-300m. This is from the main entrance. From the other entrance, the sea and the street, such as the embankment. Many locals, children, youth walk and run along it. Everyone stares at you. Some try to speak in long French phrases, to which we responded with a polite smile (we do not rummage in French, like many of our compatriots). By the end of the holiday, these faces were already annoying, and at the beginning, too.
The hotel does not have its own beach. Imagine a city beach (although it is also close to the hotel), on which there are about a dozen hotel umbrellas. You lie mixed with locals, which I didn’t like either. You have to pay for the sunbed and mattress. The sea is blue-blue, very salty, and dirty. We arrived after strong waves, and so, on the very first day to me. in addition to bags and other debris, a gasket (used) was nailed. That was a shock!
But there are places to eat. Literally 100 km by sea from Monastir, Italy, there are many Italian restaurants on the waterfront. Prices are small, as in Kyiv: pizza 50 UAH, plus whatever else you want.
I also noticed the national trait of the Tunisians: they love to teach: what to say, what to do. In short, until you roar, they don’t understand, and then they get pissed off like children.
CONCLUSION: if you want Arabic flavor, go to rest in this hotel. For myself, I concluded: I don’t want more color, I want rest and relaxation, and I won’t go to a hotel in the city anymore.

The hotel is just awesome! The category of three stars is clearly underestimated, 4+ is at least! The beach and the sea are very clean, not many people. Holidaymakers are mostly civilized foreigners: Norwegians, Swedes, Germans, French. There are no drunken Russians at all! The local people (especially young people) are very friendly, kind, also very well educated, polite.

I was surprised by the cleanliness on the streets of the city, since all the reviews speak of the strange attitude of the citizens of Tunisia to cleanliness. Apparently, the authorities are seriously engaged in resolving this issue, and the result was not long in coming! I liked everything in the city: small shops, supermarkets, shopping centers, restaurants - everything is very well maintained. Also pleasantly surprised by the prices. The city of Monastir also has a lot of attractions, so you are guaranteed an educational vacation!
Let's go back to the hotel. There are two well-equipped swimming pools, 4 bars, a shop, a restaurant. The rooms are serviced just fine, towels and linen are changed regularly. All rooms offer a picturesque view of the beautiful embankment. In general, you will enjoy your stay in the city of Monastir (especially in this hotel)!
