Now not all travel agencies give out local sim cards for free (embarrassed). But they are sold everywhere and Thai sellers will help you set them up and top up your balance if you can't do it yourself. For any cheaper than our "best" rates. Proven by time. :-)

About the connection. Why do you need a Megfon if they give out local SIM cards, 4-5 baht a minute !? You can also connect the Internet for 59 baht per week.
