Hotel pros
1) you can see the sea from the room
2) close to the beach, to tuk-tuks and all sorts of shops
minuses
1) Wi-Fi only at the reception.
2) no hair dryer in the room
3) no shelves for folding clothes
4) no kettle in the room
5) give only 2 towels in the room
6) food (breakfast) is monotonous.
The hotel itself is not bad. But check the availability of towels after cleaning, because when you check out, you can hang on you for its absence for payment.
Let us, ordinary Siberian tourists, leave our opinion about this hotel.
Those who do not particularly praise Welkam Jomtien, but do not consider it the pinnacle of tourist service, write absolutely right. In the end, the truth is, as always, somewhere in the middle. This hotel is a good place to stay. Those who choose active leisure should go here, and are not inclined to spend their entire vacation in the room. Once again about the pros and cons of a real Thai three-ruble note. In short, and "without water";
LOCATION:
- The sea is nearby, transport is a stone's throw away. Conveniently. More precisely, it is very convenient.
ROOMS:
- Old, a la "Soviet sanatorium of the 70s. " The rooms (above the 8th floor) have a full bathroom, air conditioning, TV and refrigerator everywhere. Small balconies, table, chairs, cabinets, cabinets and mirrors. We were lucky - they settled in quickly, the room was clean, the view was panoramic, cockroaches and bedbugs, no matter how much they searched, they never found.
STAFF:
- They're Thai. Funny, smiling and not in a hurry. Do not yell at them, do not demand anything in a loud voice, communicate with a smile, give some money for a tip and everything will be in order. Nothing was stolen from us, nothing was lost, no one was poisoned, everyone returned safe and sound.
NUTRITION:
- Oversleep breakfast - you won't lose much. Fruits, sandwiches, coffee, salads - the choice is small, but more than sufficient. The hotel is three stars and breakfast is C grade.
ADDITIONAL HOTEL SERVICE:
- I'll mention the pool. Clean water, good big umbrellas, comfortable sunbeds. I don't remember anything else bright and super comfortable in the hotel.
LEISURE:
- We concluded that one of the best scenarios for a holiday in Pattaya will be the alternation of sightseeing days with a beach holiday. There are a lot of tours and programs, there are a lot of travel agencies on the street (we didn’t take tours from guides, we decided to study the prices first) a lot, we recommend only what we personally checked.
We found the Russian Petya, who was recommended to us by our friends. And the dollar / ruble exchange is profitable, and the choice of tours is not the same as everywhere else, and the person himself has been living there for a long time, he will tell you everything.
Shopping in Pattaya - only in the markets. Store prices (Center Festival, Royal Garden, etc. ) are comparable to Russian ones and there is no particular point in buying there.
If you spend more time outside the hotel, then Welcome Jomtien fully justifies its price. Friends, heed the advice of the common people; you need to travel not from the refrigerator to the balcony and not from the toilet to the dining room, but from the River Kwai to Koh Samet, or at least from Siam Park to Nong Nooch Garden.
We wish you all a good holiday! Olya and Vladimir are ordinary tourists from the city of Krasnoyarsk. Thanks
famous Thai soups Tom - Yam, Tom - Khai!
I advise you to visit the restaurant "Happy Behemoth" Chic restaurant, delicious food, cozy atmosphere in general, everything is super!! ! Located at the bottom of the hotel!
flew by Transaero
a Boeing 747-400 flew there - the flight went perfectly and without delay, the food was good, the staff was super. they didn’t give a landing. therefore, advice to fly either by Aeroflot or Thai airlines. upon arrival in Thailand they quickly went through customs, then they waited another 40 minutes to be taken to the hotel (I bought a ticket through Pax) they checked into the hotel within 5 minutes. The staff is very friendly , the room was clean, they cleaned it every day, there were no living creatures in the hotel. You can eat buffet breakfasts. Good location, 100 meters to the beach. No more than 5-10 minutes to go to all entertainment. on a tuk-tuk 10 baht. in general, I was satisfied with the trip, everything was super.
lovers of relaxation in hotels in Turkey and Egypt, where you can’t get out of the room and outside the hotel at all, will hardly appreciate this hotel, but you need to adequately understand what the charm of spending a vacation in Thailand is. The declared 3 stars hotel justifies one hundred percent. The staff is friendly and helpful, cleaning is regular. The non-working pool was not even thought of for 11 days of rest. swam in the Sea 4 times. Pattaya has a different kind of charm! Drive boldly.
A couple of phrases about where to go and what to do:
tiffany show
walking street
local aquarium (if you have not been to the aquarium before)
electronics center Tuk com - if you like to stare at gadgets, then there is paradise
observation deck and a large golden Buddha
We just took a map from the Hotel and looked where we could go! Then they rented a motorbike and rolled it wherever they needed. By the way, we advise you to take a motorbike! the first day is insanely scary : ) then you get used to it and you realize that it is very cool and convenient - you go straight from the door of the hotel with a breeze to all markets, shopping centers and everything in general!
The bike was taken twice, on the street that runs parallel to the main street from the hotel to the sea on the left side - there is a small office on the left side, approximately in the middle - there are bikes on the street and in the back of the office. A short, confident woman will tell you everything in good English (which you rarely see in Thailand : )) about the bike and show you how it works.
The issue price is 200 baht per day + 1000 deposit + after returning the bike back, we paid about 100 baht for gasoline. Doesn't cheat. If no new scratches appear during your skating, then the matter is limited to the described expenses. So be careful on the road!
If you want to go further than the city limits (and you simply have to want to), then take excursions - they are very interesting and it is from them that the main impression of the rest is formed. Excursions are offered by both hotel guides and local agencies.
After reading preliminary reviews on the Internet, all the excursions were taken from the Oleg-tour agency closest to the hotel. Nice guys, and rich excursion programs. We took all the excursions from them - we got it (with our set of 4 excursions) for 3 thousand cheaper than if we took from Coral Trevela, with whom we came to Tai. Later we found out how much the people who came from Pegasus won . . there the figure is much more significant. In general, consider yourself! =) we added and calculated everything for a long time before buying =)
We strongly recommend Oleg-tour! say hello to Lena and Boris and their son Andrey.
We recommend eating on the minus first floor of the Central Festival shopping center in the Food Park - it's cheap and tasty and varied. We had a good dinner for 300-370 baht.
Cafe "U Misha" - also very cool. not cheap, but very tasty and everything is in Russian. The waitresses speak big and mighty quite well.
All were satisfied! We had great rest. We will definitely go again =) because not everyone had time to try and not visited everywhere! Have a good rest!
1) We were leaving on an excursion, we arrived there was no cold water, two days were gone, we went down to the reception only then they moved us to another room.
2) The view from the balcony is a construction site, our entire vacation was hollowed out, something was being built
3) AND THE MOST TERRIBLE MINUS IS THAT THERE ARE COCKROACHES IN THE DINING ROOM. THEY ARE NOT IN THE ROOM, ONLY LITTLE ANTS
Breakfasts for three rubles were appropriate (bacon, eggs in various forms, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, a couple of sauces for vegetables, toast, croutons, sausages, buns, juice, coffee (bad), tea, diluted juices, dry milk. + a little variety Chinese cuisine, which they try to change (rice, vegetables, cereals, etc. ) Breakfast is always the same. But everything is fresh. The main contingent of residents are Russians and Chinese. There are safe boxes at the reception. None of them disappeared.
The gym is terrible. everything is broken. There is no area around the hotel.
There is a pool. the water is warm. small. shallow. the children liked it. There are no problems with sun loungers, but towels were issued only until 3 pm. The pool was open until 6pm. In the pool, the sharp edges of the tiles, the children cut their legs. There is a bar by the pool. But he never worked. But in vain.
The room smelled very damp. all days lived with an open balcony door. The air conditioner is sometimes noisy. the view of the room is pathetic. The bathroom is terrible. But there is a balcony. The view from the balcony is tolerable, apart from the construction site below. The TV was old. there are Russian channels. The only downside is the lack of a kettle in the room. For boiling water you need to run to the first floor in the dining room. Beds are uncomfortable. pillows are hard.
