We were at the hotel from 03.11. 13 to 16.11. 13. Everything was decided at the last moment, and already before the start of the vacation we got last-minute vouchers for two for 46.000. Before flying out, I read reviews about the hotel in 2 days, and was in shock. . . Where are we going?? ? . . I was worried for a very long time and was afraid to fly there at all. . . People wrote that it was a nightmare there, everything was dirty, the furniture was all old, the worst thing for me was that they allegedly steal there. . . But when we got there, everything was different. . . I don’t remember what time the check-in was, but as soon as we arrived we were immediately settled. We lived on the 15th floor in room 1504, the room is very clean, cleaned every day, changed towels every day too. On the first day there were problems with the safe (it did not close), but we called the reception and they immediately made it to us, all valuables were stored there. they took 2 cameras with them and one of them was in the travel bag all the time, and no one took it, they specially conducted an experiment, remembered how they left things and upon arrival in the room, everything remained in its place. Once we went on an excursion for 2 days and my husband forgot a gold chain with a cross on the bedside table, we thought we could no longer hope, but as soon as we arrived everything was as it was. . . I really liked the hotel, besides we only spent the night there, the rest of the time we were on excursions. In general, I recommend this hotel to everyone.

There are so many Chinese - arrogant and shameless.
Food - Thai and sometimes part of the European (little), buffet.
Free wifi catches only in deluxe and rooms on the 3rd floor, which look at the roof of the second floor, under which the reception or the restaurant.
Room cleaning is lazy and slow.
There is some kind of fitness room on the second floor.
Only senior managers communicate in English.
The restaurant on the beach is not always fresh shrimp.
Tuk-tuks from the city go only to the traffic light on Jomtien 18 (or 16), from there to the hotel on foot for about 10 minutes. Or 20-40 baht from the nose to take you. Or if there are a lot of people, then they will take it anyway. In the city - no problem.
There is actually no beach, but the sea is cleaner than closer to the center.
They steal like everywhere else.
There is a safe in the room, so be sure to use it.

The surprises start inside. The room (10th floor) has shabby furniture, torn carpet, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and periodically drips from the ceiling itself. Towels are changed every day, but at the same time they bring holes in them, like in an orphanage. Bed linen is grey, stained and not changed at all. For 14 days they changed one (! ) sheet, when I myself took off the linen and laid it in the middle of the room. The second dirty sheet was straightened and laid back! Fortunately, the room had two beds, I just switched to a clean one.
The Chinese live there in darkness, they are constantly making noise and eating. Trays with leftover food are placed in the corridor. And these sour smelly slops stand in the corridor all day long. You walk past to the elevator and feel the urge to vomit...
But the main surprise awaits you in the form of a smiling staff. And they smile, because they know how to profit at the expense of a gullible Russian sucker. That you will be searched in the most thorough way - do not doubt! All your bags, handbags, suitcases, cosmetic bags and even the notorious safe will be opened, broken into and cleaned to the penny, to the bead, to the ring. If you think that Pegasus guides will help you, you never guessed right - they are in share. They will spread their hands and say a sacramental phrase: "How can you prove that you had these values? " But the surprises don't end there. When you have already packed your purchases in a suitcase and went to the airport by a branded Pegasus bus, looking forward to how you will flaunt at home with a new crocodile handbag, how to present Thai T-shirts "with elephants" to your relatives and tell how successful you have been shopping - all of a sudden, voila! At the airport, you discover that none of this is in your suitcase! He was robbed, breaking all the locks right in the luggage compartment of the bus! Still can grab cameras, cell phones and other equipment. Of course, everyone immediately rushes to call Pegasus guides, demand an explanation. . . You already know the answer. And then the boarding of the plane will be announced.
If you want thrills and tangible losses - contact Pegasus, you are guaranteed extreme sports!

The hotel is a solid 4. I was there for the new year 2013. The staff is normal, no one speaks Russian. We were fed on solid 4. The menu is mostly Thai and some European dishes. There were two soups. Three types of side dishes and meat dishes. The first few days I ate breakfast. But then I realized that it was hard for me, and having tried all the dishes that alternated every other day, I ate only my usual food and fruits (watermelons and pineapples). … More ▾ The hotel is a solid 4. We flew with Pegasus from Krasnoyarsk. Surprisingly, they flew out on time, at 6.10 am. Already at 15.30 were at the hotel. We really wanted to get a higher number, but. . . it's not meant to be. We flew as many as 40 people (special offer - 55 thousand for two), and the flight of departing tourists was delayed. Therefore, they offered rooms only on floors 3-4, promising to change the next day. We adjusted. But when we got to the room, we decided not to change it. The rooms, which are four digits, are located in the annex, above the restaurant. A huge square room (the entrance to the bathroom is next to the front door, that is, outside the room) with a large terrace. Direct sea view. 4th floor, room 3422. In the room: laminate flooring, a large refrigerator, a flat-screen TV on the wall, a wardrobe, a wardrobe, a mirror above the table, a coffee table with two chairs, a safe, a bunch of lamps that all worked, a thermos for boiling water and a set of tea bags, coffee, cream, sugar, which was replenished every day. Terrace table with two chairs. In the bathroom: shower, towels of various sizes, shampoo, gel, soap, caps and cotton swabs, toilet paper, napkins. The next day we met our maid (I think that the maids in the hotel are the main ones) and we had an excellent cleaning all season, everything was replenished and changed on time. But we weren't greedy either, leaving a tip. The territory of the hotel is small, in principle, this is the area around the pool. The pool is also small, with a children's section. They cleaned it every morning. Beach towels are taken from the pool under the record. The hotel is across the road from the sea. There is no beach as such. But there are hotel free sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach. We have the entire season low tide began only after 6 pm. The sea was clean, except for 2-3 days. Very surprised by the food (breakfast). The first week the choice of dishes was simply amazing: abundance! But the next 2 weeks, it decreased literally several times. You can have lunch and dinner near the hotel, within a radius of several meters there are a lot of cafes and restaurants for every taste. At the exit to the embankment, to the right of the police post, there is a Thai cafe with ridiculous prices: Tom Yam - 80 baht, like our cabbage soup - 40, the second with any meat - 40, etc. Minimarkets are located to the left and to the right of the hotel. Exchangers just to the right. A good massage parlor is located to the right of the hotel, in front of the first mini market. We got to Koh Lan on our own, but we took excursions, as always, from Manopa, which is located between the Furama Hotel and Sorita Shalet. We were lucky with the weather: it rained every day and therefore there was no sweltering heat. All in all, we enjoyed our vacation! Our flight was delayed by 10 hours, which made us very happy! At 12 o'clock we handed over the room, received a deposit, which, by the way, is $ 100. We left our baggage at the reception and hung out at the pool until 6 pm, running to the sea to swim. If you have any questions, write, we will be happy to answer.

All on time, on duty, tired, knurled, no courtesies, but no problems. Thanks to the crew commander - ass. Met Biblio
Globe, brought. The hotel is not new, but for its 3 * completely. For 400 baht they asked for a room above the 10th floor, they were satisfied. The room is really dark, but spacious, like all the other hotel rooms with sea views, so you don’t have to pay extra for the view, it’s convenient that there is a kitchenette. The beach is as narrow as all the others, at low tide it is wider, the sand is always wet, sunbeds are only seated for 30 baht, there was no litter in the water at all, and there is litter everywhere on the sand. The food on the streets is generally digestible, you can eat in the hotel 130-150 baht for a serving of squid, shrimp, beef (in Thai version) in a European way, you don’t want to give up expensive 300 baht for spaghetti and pizza.
Excursions took two, one of them in Bangkok. I advise you to have 2 types of clothing: closed for visiting the complex and open for the bus. We were not warned and we almost died in long pants and shirts with sleeves below the elbow on the bus. By the way, you can rent clothes on the spot for 30 baht. A tour with a Thai guide is not very informative, given the rich history of the country and the oldest religion in the world, it was simply boring. An excursion to the rock garden is also worth a visit, a beautiful place, the opportunity to communicate with animals. At the latex factory, they did not take anything in shopping malls, everything is 3 times cheaper. They also went to the island to sunbathe, the road is very tiring. To the pier by tuk-tuk for 10 baht per person, then by ferry for 60 baht, and on the island by tuk-tuk for 30 baht. Time about 2 hours. The water is certainly cleaner, the sand is whiter, but that's all. It's a 20 minute drive from the hotel to Walkin Street, often on chaise longues.
You can’t ask where you are going, they will consider it like a taxi for 200 baht instead of 10. The city is dirty, crowded, stuffy, there is an advantage of transport on the roads, so pedestrians scatter like mice. Sidewalks are narrow. They have trees, poles, tables for food. Shopping on the streets, as we have in Chinese bazaars, both in price and quality, is the same night market. In shopping centers it is more decent, the prices are lower than ours, but not for everything. You can bargain at the Tukkom computer center. The courtesy and friendliness of the Thais seemed to me very far-fetched, ordinary tired, irritated people, even please don’t answer thanks. The hotel has the same picture. It seems that the standards of service for them are still unfamiliar. Thai for a day costs 1500 baht. We saw many Russians and foreigners with them. They may be the authors of rave reviews of Thai hospitality. During the rest, I had a fever, I had to see a doctor.
They could not get through to Moscow for half a day, our guide from Biblio Globus did not participate in any way. "Well, call me" that's all. The guide's name is Alexander, you will be interesting to him only to sell excursions. On the way back you can return the VAT called Waterfound. I asked the guide on the bus how to do it. I replied that everything will be returned to me at the airport. C asked at the entrance to the airport, they said after passport control. Passed control, went to the return counter, they said there is no seal that needs to be put before the check-in. Of course you can't return. I think the guide did not have the information, and therefore could not explain anything. Also with fruits. It turns out that you need to take only small baskets, they can be taken in hand luggage, but the large one had to be checked in as luggage, the fruit was damaged. And again, there is no one to ask. Probably the tour operator does not have feedback from tourists, otherwise it was possible to take care of their guests, suggest, warn.
I tried to fit as much information as possible for you so that your vacation goes without a hitch, because I myself used the reviews of tourists and am grateful for a lot. The country is unusual, the rest is very different from the usual ollinkueiv, but it’s worth visiting, maybe more than once.

The hotel is good, no living creatures, both for families with children and for young people, there is enough space for everyone : ) Immediately upon arrival at the hotel, I wanted to go buy soft drinks, have a snack and exchange dollars for Thai baht. To be honest, the nearest store is 500 meters and the second in the other direction is 700 m. To the right of the 7 eleven hotel and to the left is Family Mart, you can buy a SIM card there, it costs 50 baht. In general, if you go to the right, there is a street agency Chaika tour, excursions are offered, money is changed, Thais work. But it's far away, we walked from the hotel to the left, only 100 meters and there is also a travel agency "Shurik's Adventures", contact Slavik, and he will change the money and make excursions at the best prices. We were very glad that we got to him. Why run to the Thais when there are ours who will always help : ) Before meeting with the hotel guide, we already knew everything and did not let us be deceived ! ! We advise everyone! ! Have a good rest.

Breakfasts at the hotel are ordinary: rice, rice with egg, Chinese table (you can use it, but sometimes very peppery dishes), jam, butter, scrambled eggs, sausages, various sliced vegetables, pineapples, watermelons, tea, coffee. Everything, no frills. The room is large (I had a single): nothing was gnawed, nothing was broken, a refrigerator, a safe, a closet. I left tea at 20V, everything was clean, white linen and towels, 2 bottles of water on the table. Once I spilled wine on the bed - they immediately changed everything. I didn’t observe any negativity from the Thais at all - they are smiling, always ready to help. Our compatriots, on the contrary, walked with disgruntled faces (didn’t like anything: food, Thais, beach, etc. )
There was no beach at the hotel - as such (a small strip of sand between the sea and the road) In the morning - high tide, in the evening - low tide, but 200 meters away the beach is decent - please. fine. Transparent water - on the islands, drive from the hotel 15 minutes to the pier and there about 30 minutes. Sunbeds with an umbrella -30 V. Is it expensive compared to Europe?
I had lunch and dinner in restaurants: salad + hot + fresh - up to 350 W. I like Kutai cuisine - though I always said - but spice, but chili. Waiters are friendly, service is fast. If you don't like Chinese cuisine, you can go to a European restaurant, or don't go to Tai at all. Strong unsanitary conditions - did not notice. Suffering from a chronic intestinal disease, she was afraid to eat on the street. Although when questioning our tourists, no one complained that he had poisoned himself. Paradox - compatriots who were horrified by unsanitary conditions, after my question, where did you eat - they told me what was on the street. The first days I enjoyed the sea - the water was 28 degrees, I did not want to get out. True, in the sea, little jellyfish stung me. The feeling that someone is biting you, even an allergy came out, which disappeared upon arrival home. And then endless excursions. Went from Biblio-Globus. Great guys. Collected and transported on minivans, not on large buses, which saved a lot of time. I visited the park of millions of stones, a crocodile farm, a crocodile show, a transgender show, an elephant show, a snake show, Buddhist temples, an aquarium, fishing, monkey island, swimming in the open sea , mini Siam. I recommend. And how much more unseen, not covered. I will definitely go back to Thailand. Amazing country

A long flight brightens up the TV.
Hotel Sigma Resort. I do not know why so many people speak badly about it - in my opinion, the hotel is excellent. I went to rest, not sit in the room. Therefore, the main thing for me was the cleaning of the room. Cleaned up every day. Unpretentious.
In the room: TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, balcony, bathroom.
Room with ocean view. Fine!
Breakfasts. Well. . . Men, in my opinion, have nothing to eat there. And so, in principle, normal: rice, soups, scrambled eggs, ham, pasta... Fruits (pineapple, watermelon, papaya). Tea/coffee/juices. But food is not a problem - you can eat in the nearest cafe. Only rarely where there is normal tea (Almost everywhere tea is boiled)
Cafe at the hotel. The first impression was terrible: they brought cold food. The second time we went there only because we were tired and didn’t have the strength to go somewhere. Lucky : ) Satisfied.
Beach. Little. The water is almost always clean. Only one minus - there are a lot of sharp stones in the water.
Prices. Everything is cheap. But really good things cost almost the same as ours. Well, maybe a little cheaper.
The shops. Probably, there will never be such service in our country. . . You buy a bottle of water, they will definitely put it in a bag and put a straw in it. . . You can really trust the sellers. They will thank you even if you just went to the store and did not buy anything else.
Food. Spicy : ) The main thing to say in time is not to be very spicy. Although almost everywhere they immediately warn at the expense of severity. Finding European cuisine is very easy. But, to be honest, I think that you should try Thai cuisine! She's worth it. Where else can you eat seafood in such quantities and for such a price : ) And is it worth going to Tai to eat french fries? ; )
People. It's unexplainable. Land of smiles. So unusual at first, and so lacking now. . . Here. . . It's not a forced smile, like in Russia. . . It's sincere. . . An attempt to please and please in everything. Everything will be done the way you want.

Interested in a good, inexpensive massage parlor in the vicinity of the hotel. Maybe someone can recommend a specific masseuse. I would be very grateful for the help!
