HOTEL. The hotel is very clean, cozy treshka. I don’t know who in Pattaya needs more. Of course, the BIG minus is the complete absence of the sea, despite the fact that the hotel stands on the shore. Having gone in that direction on the very first day, I did not stick my nose there again. It's a shame....Everything else about the hotel is great. Cleaning, change of linen and towels every day. All quality, no theft.
Neighbors, not knowing the subtleties at first, left tips in a plate on the table. 3 days they were not touched. Until they put her on the bed. In my opinion, this characterizes the staff of the hotel. No one from the staff speaks Russian, but this has its own charm. To explain anyway, it always worked out even with our knowledge, or rather ignorance of English. The hotel, in my opinion, was bought by Pegasus (which is a pity), so the population in it is almost exclusively Russian. According to my observations, 1 room was occupied by a Thai or Chinese family, and 1 American with carrots. All. The rest are ours. The pool is clean and really 24/7. They clean it at 5-6 in the morning. The first floor is very convenient, we went to the pool through the balcony. Well, if one was sleeping, and the second was away somewhere, then without causing the sleeping person the discomfort of turning off the air conditioner, they calmly returned home through the balcony.
The hotel is located right on Naklua Beach Street, which goes directly to the center, so there were no problems with the delivery of bodies to civilization. 10 minutes and you are in the center of events. Near the hotel there is a fish market, and a vegetable, fruit and food market. Near the fish market there is a small eatery-cafe where they cook the most delicious, and most importantly, edible TOM Yam. Of course, it is edible everywhere, but everywhere they put some kind of bamboo that does not chew. And everything was eaten there. Whether the bamboo was pulled out before serving, or how, I don’t know. But delicious. The prices there are from the science fiction series TOM YAM from 35 to 45 baht (you can say rubles). In general, the most expensive dish is fried noodles with seafood. The store is right next door. Life in the north of Pattaya seemed to me more interesting than in the south. There are still many Thais who do not understand Russian, you can accidentally wander into the quarter to see their way of life. Certainly not rich, but real.
By the way, they also found a wonderful massage parlor. Before that, they were in 2 places and with the vaunted blind, and just in the cabin. And here the big Russian farang liked the massage the most. Well, the masseuse, a small and thin secret, really did it, using all the suitable parts of the body (and note that it was not a body massage, it was just that the farang was really big, and she could not knead it only with her hands, so both legs and knees were used, and elbows). In the photo and video I will show both the salon and the massage and the hotel. I really liked it. Yes, there was a lizard in the room. Didn't bother anyone. Yes, there were ants, but how in the tropics without living creatures at all. Ants become active if you leave fruits well or spill sweets. Just follow and everything will be ok. By the way from the hotel to the center left at the latest at 1.30 am. We returned at 4 am. And at this time just by tuk tuk for 10 baht. No price cuts. Of course, if you don't ask where he's going.
Then they really think that they should take more. You can't ask drivers for anything. If you ask how much, when paying, he will say 20. Silently you will give 10, he will take it and say thank you.
Flight Nizhny Novgorod-Bangkok by Nord Wind airline. I was very worried about the flight delay. As a result: when buying a tour, the departure time was scheduled for 19.00, then the agency warned that the departure would be at 20.00. Checked in on time, but flew out around 21.30. Okay, there's a little delay. It was worse back: the total delay of the return flight was 7 hours. Long flights are definitely tough. There - 8 hours, back - 10 hours 20 minutes.
Hotel Naklua Beach Resort. We settled quickly, arrived at the hotel at 12.30, at 13.00 were already in the room. We got a room on the fourth floor in the central building with a direct sea view without any additional payments. The room is large, triple (although there were two of us). We went to friends in a room in the side building, they had a more modest room. Cleaning, change of linen and towels - no complaints. We asked for the contents of the minibar to be removed immediately so that fruits and drinks would not interfere with putting them in the refrigerator. The hotel itself is modest, quiet and quite nice. You can swim in the pool around the clock. We only had breakfast included in the package, but for 295 baht per person you could have dinner at the hotel (buffet). However, we never took advantage of this offer.
The location of the hotel is really far from the center. When booking the tour, I thought it was not a problem. However, it turned out that for me this is more of an inconvenience than an advantage. Traveling several times a day on tuk-tuks, either to the pier (beach), or to shopping, to cafes, did not give me pleasure. Walking is a long way, and the sidewalks are not suitable for pedestrians, but are lined with parked motorbikes. We often went to the fruit market (the one to the left of the hotel) and bought there not only fruits, but also chicken, grilled meat and even salads with seafood. Everything was quite edible and never caused any problems (unlike the food of 5 star hotels in Egypt and Turkey). Hot spices are given either separately in bags, and if they are added directly to the dish, then you yourself say how much and what. I've been to the fish market once. We bought 1 kg of the freshest huge shrimp and here in the market for 40 baht they fried them on the grill, laid them on a banana leaf and handed them back with spices. True, it is more difficult to explain yourself in the markets, where people do not speak or understand English (unlike cafes and shops in the center). But sign language will help you.
The hotel is located on the seafront. And the sea is dirty and you can't swim there. And I knew this when I chose this hotel. BUT! When I saw this sea, I was shocked, and my husband was depressed. We went to Koh Lan 4 times. There, of course, you can enjoy the beaches. I especially liked the beach, where there were a lot of Chinese, the sea is turquoise, the sand is white. A couple of times we went to some Pattaya beach not far from our hotel. But even there the sea is dirty and smelly.
Tours were taken from Pegasus. Yes, more expensive than street agencies. But we decided so. Two weeks of rest: every other day excursions, free days - on Koh Lan.
I was delighted with the Buddhist temples I saw, I really liked the waterfalls of the Erawan National Park, Nong Nooch Park and the elephant show.
Will I return to Thailand? Yes. Although the impressions of the trip are ambiguous. From something in complete delight, something caused a negative. But the fact that a trip to this country is definitely worth it.
