We got from the airport by bus, and the guide (named Marina) spoke very excitingly about the hotel itself, about the city and the country as a whole. Some sights my girlfriend and I examined, but everything is in order. We were brought to the hotel (the road took about 1.5-2 hours). The place is just fabulous! There is no noise, the entire territory of the complex is simply buried in greenery and smells of freshness. A wonderful combination of romance and modern technology. This, in my understanding, should be an oasis. We have settled ourselves. We had a cozy bungalow. You go out - and you can dive into the pool from the threshold! It was almost the ultimate dream for us! We took a room for two. We were pleased with the TV, which is important - there are Russian channels. Shower - water around the clock. Air conditioning, refrigerator. You could still use the mini-bar and safe, but they were paid. Although the prices are quite reasonable. True, the promised hair dryer was not. We rested for two weeks. Every day our room was cleaned and towels changed. In general, living was clean, tidy and comfortable. The pool turned out to be surprisingly clean and even with a jacuzzi. We rented sun loungers and an umbrella. On the territory there is something to do: a restaurant, a 24-hour bar. Don't be afraid of the bar: the menu there is no worse than in any restaurant. You can choose what your heart desires, but, as a rule, from the category of Thai or European cuisine. Everything is very tasty and appetizing. If during the day my friend and I sunbathed, then in the evening we went for a walk around the city. By the way, it takes 20-30 minutes to walk to the center, and for the lazy, minibuses run regularly. At every step, excursion groups are recruited. I advise everyone! From Pattaya 30 minutes if on wheels. Despite the name, there are many more animals in the zoo: pig races and elephant shows take place every day. You can also play with little tiger cubs (there are about 100 cats in total), go into the scorpion cave (very exciting! ) And watch the tigers in their “rest tunnel”. Despite the humidity, it only rained once. When it was time to check out, it was necessary to vacate the room before 15.00. It was very comfortable - they managed to sleep off, and ate slowly, and packed their things. We also got to the airport on our own, fortunately we managed to find out a little about the territory and methods of transportation. We also got home safely, without unpleasant surprises. In terms of service, everything turned out to be quite tolerable, I was pleased with both the flight and the hotel. The rooms are not rich, but clean, the service was also normal. Our worst expectations were not met - Sanmar provided a fairly high-quality holiday for little money. We were even a little surprised. A deposit will be taken for the safe - 2000 baht, returned on the last day of stay - in the evening you can spend it, exchange it for currency, spend it at Duty Free upon departure. The safe is open from 8 to 20, so prepare the money in advance. The staff in the pockets, in principle, the hotel does not fumble, when cleaning, but the safe - let it be. Not enough chairs in the room. Lizards and mosquitoes will be the closest neighbors - ready a fumigator, and if you sit by the room or pool (in the evening) - mosquito repellent. There is a TV and catches 5 Russian channels. Breakfast will pleasantly surprise you with the choice of 1) fruits - juice (150g). 2) omelette - fried eggs (2 eggs) 3) tea-coffee. also, without choice - 2 slices of bread, 2 bacon tendrils, 2 slices of ham, one sausage, 10g of butter and 20g of jam - that's it. Don't wait or pay extra. The dollar exchange rate at the hotel is not profitable - change nearby, on Naklua Road! The territory of the hotel is conditionally divided into the German part and the Russian part. This is not advertised, but for some reason it turns out that on one side there are almost only Russians, sometimes Chinese, on the other side there are only Germans, less often Americans. As for pedophiles, I have never seen such a thing on the territory of the hotel. (Only once observed this in a cafe). Even if I saw it, I would go to another pool, since there is a choice there. Everyone has their own troubles, everyone rests as they see fit. The Germans are accustomed to walking with secrets and children, the Russians are accustomed not to clean up after themselves and leave eternal srach. So you have to start with yourself. PROS: 1) the location is ideal - within walking distance of the beach, cafes and restaurants, spas, shops, a dolphin fountain from where you can go by tuk-tuk to the center and shopping malls. We rested on Wangamat Beach, near the Grand Mirage Hotel - the sea is more or less clean, the beach is also more or less clean. I expected the worst. If you go a little further and to the left, you can find part of the beach fenced with stones, so the water is cleaner there, the fish swim and the water is more or less clear. It can be seen stones fence off all the garbage. From the store I advise Best supermarket a large store where you can find a bunch of everything and even a little more and at low prices. If you buy alcohol, then next to Best there is a shop where they sell alcohol wholesale and retail, the prices are very good. Cafes - I advise Armenia cafes, there is a magnificent pork kebab for about 190 rubles, the ice cream there is very tasty. I also highly recommend the sports bar, which is located a little to the right of the cafe Armenia. This cafe has a large selection of dishes, European cuisine, Thai, etc. They also have very tasty pizza, and you really need to try the Mai Tai cocktail and mango juice there. The prices are very good. For example, two large pizzas were ordered for two, plus a couple of glasses of beer, and 4 cocktails. We paid about 1000 baht for everything, ate too much, barely crawled out. Shopping arcade - from the dolphins to the left, a bunch of clothes that are cheaper than on Beach Road. Shopped there often. 2) Bungalow - I was delighted that the rooms are in the form of houses, and not like a big beehive. Very cozy and green. Squirrels run, birds fly, frogs go out for a walk in the evenings and lizards. I do not like lizards, but since the territory is all green, these lizards are not particularly visible, which means they do not bother. There is a porch with a table and chairs. It is very nice to sit there in the evening. But not without mosquito repellant. 3) Rooms - on a solid 3. Nothing was broken for us, everything worked fine, a large bed, it does not hold together))) The room is suitable for spending the night. The air conditioner is a little noisy, but on the contrary, it didn’t bother us, because in the morning the birds yell, and because of the noise of the air conditioner, extraneous noises did not reach us. At the end of the vacation, a family with children settled behind the wall in the next room, only then we realized that the walls were not so thick. But we were noisy from time to time no less, so it's normal. We immediately sent the bottles from the mini bar to the cabinet and did not touch them. We drank only a bottle of cola for 20 baht, which was credited to us upon checkout. Everything is fair. 4) Cleaning - cleaned every day mediocre, regardless of whether you leave a tip or not. Making beds, changing bed linen (yes, sometimes there were spots, but this is the sin of all hotel service throughout Thailand), changing towels, wiping floors, and bathrooms. No theft, phones and cameras were left, and the suitcases were not closed, nothing was ever missing. Very smiling staff. 5) Breakfast - C grade, but every day the same thing, but it didn't bother us at all. Every day they took different dishes, sometimes they overslept breakfast and ate sandwiches in the room. The only thing we did not understand the juice, for us it is very concentrated. Although in the morning after a good evening, this juice went with a bang. 6) Swimming pools - there were two on our side. One small, and there are always a lot of people. Suitable for gatherings like a fan, but if you need to swim, you have to go to another one. Another large, deep and circular with a bar. Since it is located on the territory of the Germans, it is always very quiet and calm there. The pools are open 24/7.7) Safe - took a deposit of 2000 baht for two people. Although the safe is open from 8 am to 8 pm, we were sometimes given concessions and we could take money from the safe at night. It depends on who was on duty there))))) MINUSES: For me, there are no cons.....The perfect hotel for a perfect holiday. I will advise everyone)))))
