Those who travel with transfers, and this is the cheapest type of air tickets, are familiar with the problems of long flight expectations. Whatever the beautiful and comfortable airport, and sit and wait for the next departure a little boring. Therefore, experienced travelers choose to dock in such a way as to either quickly run from plane to plane, or have the opportunity to go to the city.

We are beginner travelers, but tried to implement such a plan)

The road there (From Kiev to Singapore) provided 1.5 hours of waiting. Back - 11. It was chosen, of course, based on the desire to go to town.

For Suvarnabhumi 1.5 hours is meager and you need to navigate quickly to keep up with the flight. After reading the thoughts on "how much time it takes to change ... " I was even a little worried at first, but then the flight was postponed and it took 2.5 hours, which was enough for us, even given the long showdown with our names.

For some reason, computers at all airports (except when we took tickets at the box office, just before departure) did not allow two passengers of the same name to board, we were tortured everywhere, tortured, ran somewhere, decided something and eventually found a way out and handed over landing, but it was in Bangkok that this was made a global problem. I'm afraid in an hour and a half we might not be able to cope.

Moreover, back in Singapore, we also hung for a long time, there could not understand why we fly to Kiev via Bangkok, considered the printout almost in a magnifying glass and suggested something in the documents that poor Thais could not put us on a plane for about two hours .

Anticipating check-in, we understood that we had to arrive at the landing three hours before departure.

So, we had 8 hours of continuous Thai pleasure.

For citizens of Ukraine, visas can be issued directly at the airport.

You can even take an instant photo there, but we had it) We filled out a questionnaire, gave photos, $ 35 and the visa is ready. Those who will apply for a visa, you need to carefully read the inscriptions - different countries for different countries. I tried to fit into the long tail of a queue, but my daughter pulled me further. And then I would have stood until I saw that this is not my turn)

Where UKRAINE is written, there was no queue at all. That is, go back to the city faster, because there is no crowd of compatriots)

We arrived at 15:15, dark at 18:00-18:30, if we take into account the passage of passport control and obtaining a visa, then before dark it was about two hours, so I was looking for the fastest way from the airport to see something in broad daylight .

You can get to the city by taxi, bus and train. Due to the known traffic jams in Bangkok, neither a taxi nor a bus suited us. Only train, only express, only hardcore)).

From Bangkok Airport there are three trains - a city train with many stops to Phaya Thai Metro, an express to the nearest Makkasan Metro and an express to Phaya Thai Metro, but without stops, this is the fastest way if you need to go to the river and you are lucky enough to come for landing on time. According to the signs, they quickly found out where the train to the city is. This is the lowest floor of the airport. This express is sent once an hour. Unfortunately, I do not remember how many minutes, whether at 13 or 18, but exactly from 10 to 20).

And, miraculously, we just arrived. We managed to take a ticket, take seats and the train left. Guides write that the fare is 90 baht, but I, unfortunately, did not save the ticket and do not remember. I only remember that it is faster and cheaper than taking a taxi.

Even if this train does not go in the near future, any of them will still be faster and cheaper, only then it is better to get to the station. McCasan and go down to the subway.

The difficulty of this route is that the subway (MRT) and ground (BTS) - completely different modes of transport, on the way to the river will have to change from one to another and take tickets again.

We will go to the subway station to make the transfer easier.

On Phaya Thai we change to the subway. Just went down from the platform where the train came, and walked from ten meters. BTS has the same fare system as Singapore, the card is sold in the machine, on the screen of which you must select the station of passage.

On st. Siam (second stop), change to another line, then go to the station. Saphan Taksin (fifth stop). There we get off the subway and go under the bridge, where there is a public boat stop (water tram). They say there is also a tourist boat, stops there, is inexpensive. But we didn't wait, the usual one was loaded, so we left.

I generally like water transport, I like to look at the river, the shores, the ships.

And let this tram was a little neglected and the river is dirty, but there are no congestions on the river and river trams are used by many people in Bangkok.

We went for a very short time, went out on the 8th pier, we needed to go to the temple of Wat Arun, there is a tiny boat across the river for 3 baht. A few minutes and we are in the temple. The sun was setting, the temple itself was already closed, it is open until 17.30, and we moored at 17.45. Very beautiful area, beautiful temple! When it is open, you can climb the stairs to the top, to the 79-meter pagoda. However, I would hardly rise so high. Probably no more than 10 meters)

The whole journey, from the landing of the plane to the temple of Wat Arun, took two and a half hours, given that we did not expect anything anywhere. About an hour passed from the moment we boarded the train at the airport to the moment we boarded the boat.

We walked near the temple for a very long time.

It was not dark at all, then we crossed the river, went through the market, bought cheap postcards on the way and went on a tuk-tuk to look for the center. We say uncle, let's go to the center. I don't know if my daughter didn't succeed in this word, if there is another word meaning the center of the city, or in Bangkok there is no concept of "center", but this evening no one understood us and we never got to the center)

But a trip on a tuk-tuk and in itself a very interesting attraction. I advise you to include it in the program when visiting the city. For some reason, I always thought that tuk-tuk and rickshaw are one and the same. But no - it's much cooler! This is a carriage instead of a horse, it has a scooter and everything is covered with one roof. On the one hand, passengers have fences, on the other - only partially.

This vehicle is speeding like a bird, overtaking cars, the wind is blowing in your ears, the "carriage" is howling and it seems that at the next turn you will fall on the asphalt.

Yazhematy and bravely rode in a place where the fence is short, so as not to fall "baby") The child laughed, watching as I clung to his feet and hands in all that is possible and shouted good mother. When we gained speed and became completely helpless, we were overtaken by a tuk-tuk with a couple who fell apart, who did not hold on to anything. Then I was a little let go, but my legs and arms did not weaken). I went and told my daughter that this whole trip to Asia was a complete overcoming of my fears. Haha, I didn't know what was ahead of me!

Tuk-tuker, like any taxi driver in Southeast Asia, knows his business clearly. As we chatted to him about the center, he unobtrusively asked if we wanted to eat.

-So! SO! - we nodded cheerfully, - Eat. In the center!

Then you guessed it, huh?

) He brought us straight to the seafood restaurant) Seafood and restaurants, we were full in Indonesia, so grabbed a tuk-tuk and refused to get out.

- we say - do not be ashamed.

He resisted a little.

-This is the best seafood restaurant in Bangkok, it's cheap, tasty, safe!

And we are in none.

He took us, believing that we would now be in a dangerous place, ten meters away, and we left, paying. Probably still sleeps badly at night, everyone is worried about us)

We looked around. It's dark. Deserted. Above the subway road, then, will not disappear. There is still time for the car, but it's really time to eat.

And went on the road. And I must say, we were in such a hurry to the city that we did not look for a camera and carried quite heavy backpacks on our shoulders. Let's go, breathe the air, see nothing but the road, rejoice like children) Bangkok! And the adventure)

They fed us deliciously, cooked quickly, the portions were very large, gave the password from the wifi and we stayed there for a long time. I searched in the search engine "what to do in the evening in Bangkok" and to do I did not care.

Such proposals popped up, where even adults do not go with children. And with parents too)

So we went on our way, hoping to reach the next metro station or a more or less crowded place.

Arrived at the revolutionary checkpoint, I wanted to take pictures, but warned of various revolutionary consequences (still being shot under the laws of war as an enemy spy) and decided to ask permission from a man in an orange vest with some inscription. I thought it was a revolutionary or a representative of the law. It turned out to be a motorcyclist, in English he is even worse than me, so he called a friend.

It was the worst thing that happened to me during the whole trip, the worst thing was the spiraling flight to Lombok, the worst thing about the Singapore-Bangkok flight, which shook and shook us until it left the ground, the worst thing about Transformers at Universal Park. scarier than the first snorkel and the cable car, scarier than riding the waves on an old boat, scarier than tuk-tuk, finally! )

How did I agree? ) Apparently the universe decided to shake off all my fears and clamps for good.

Finally, they took us to a tourist street, where heaven and hell are in one bottle, where there are so many people that they interfere with breathing, where you can buy cheap T-shirts, and not only T-shirts, where in the crowd, on the street, fry delicious pancakes with banana and sell a variety of fruits. What a mango there was!

This was probably the center)

When my daughter was buying pancakes, I asked for time and realized that it was time for us to go.

Let's settle with motorcyclists and it turned out that the amount we originally traded was one! Instead of 350 baht we had to pay 700. We did not expect this and were left almost without money.

In general, the guys worked more than three hours and eventually transferred us to a taxi, I think they earned money, and we blunted when we agreed.

There was not enough cash for a taxi to the airport. And a taxi is already worth it! We tried to bargain hard with the taxi driver, it didn't help. They started looking for an ATM, and, surprisingly, it turned out to be very close.

This topic-cache is over-haunted us all the trip-I even concluded that I have a clamp in this place, I almost do not use cash in Kiev, maybe it's time to pay attention to it)

We already ate pancakes with banana in a taxi. The taxi driver said- but problems) Pancakes are- something incredible! Be sure to try if you are in those parts.

Registration took place a record time, even for us, at least two hours. With these many endless registrations and finding out our names, I learned to sit and lie anywhere and, indeed, in this long, team journey I got rid of many fears.

I wish you that your wishes come true. Immediately and enchantingly!

(To madness and in stunning poses))
