We just returned from Phuket, it seems only excursions on Phi-Pi, although there is some kind of hotel there, but I would not relax in the outskirts. The waves are big, there were red flags on Karon all the rest, but this did not stop us from swimming and riding the waves. Although in the season they say Karon is always a wave due to its length of 3 km and elongation. But on Katya it’s calmer. The rains were not weak, although there were several sunny and hot days, but even when there was no rai ... Farther...

My family and I rested in Thailand both in March, April, and in August, and in August - 4 times, three of them in Pattaya, once in Phuket. From my observations, I can say that in Pattaya the rainy season is a great time to relax. Yes, it is more humid, yes, it can rain (and not only at night), but all this is not a burden, there is a lot of sun anyway. Warm water. In Pattaya itself, of course, the sea is so-so, on the islands or on the military beach - clean and beautiful. No waves. But in Phuk ... Farther...

it’s not even about the rain, but about the ebb. During the day the sea will leave and become shallow, and at night the tide will rise. And the rains there are very short and bring relief in the heat. In my opinion, Thai loses its charm due to the huge number of tourists from Moscow (and they know how to behave "properly" everywhere. So try not to be like them, wherever you are). Now it's not clear whether this is Thai or Crimea. And this is a real problem. Farther...
We want to go to Tai from 12.05 for the first time, it so happened that in the off-season there is such an opportunity, but I read terrible reviews about the fact that the sea is stormy after May 5, you can drown and also not visit the Similans. And now I’m already upset that I will have to postpone the trip .I really want to go to Bond Island. Please tell me if it is worth going at this time.

Karamel74, May is the second month of summer, but not yet the rainy season. It officially starts in June =) May is characterized by light short-term and extremely rare precipitation (mainly only at night), very little excitement on the western side, which does not interfere with swimming in the sea. The Similans will be closed, this must be acknowledged. They are always closed in late April - early May, but James Bond is a year-round destination. I think you won't go wrong with the holiday seaso ... Farther...

http://www.tmd.go.th/en/province_stat.php?StationNumber=48461 Look at the statistics. Yes, summer is the rainy season, but Pattaya is traditionally considered a year-round resort, because the seasons are not as pronounced there as on the islands and, moreover, holidays in Pattaya are mostly not beach holidays. And April, yes, is the hottest everywhere, in all regions. In general, here is information from one Russian site: When is the best time to go: NOVEMBER-APRIL: Phuket, Krabi, Phi-Ph ... Farther...
