We want to go with my husband to the Carpathians for the first time in the summer, besides the mountains, we are interested in a beach holiday, which village / city is the most suitable for this, so that it would be close to a reservoir / river.

The real place in the Carpathians is almost the same - this is the Treble-Ritskaya hydroelectric power station or the Vilshansky reservoir. This is the same. The rest of the reservoirs are icy mountain rivers and streams - you can swim, but it's hard to call it a beach holiday - both shallow and cold, and stones. Mountain lakes are all icy and they are high in the mountains. The mountain lakes accessible to mass tourists are the same, also icy, but most importantly, it is forbidden to swim there ...
