We want to bring fruit (mango) with us. Everywhere they write that hand luggage must be a certain size. What if the bag is bigger? Won't they miss? Advise how best and without consequences to bring fruit home

I myself brought home 3 mangoes after a trip to Dubai. I packed it in a bag so that it wouldn’t leak by accident and carried it in a backpack with other goodies. The backpack was on the shelf in the plane. Delivered safe and sound, family were satisfied)))
