Hello! I would like to know about tips, as we are going to Turkey with my husband for the first time. Is it necessary to give money? - upon check-in, so that there is a normal room (in the reviews, many write that they did not give it and everything was OK); - for daily cleaning of the room (acquaintances left every day, but someone's hair and a cigarette butt near the bed lay until the end of the holiday); - bartenders, waiters, minibus drivers, etc. In general, to WHOM and HOW MUCH to tip, so as not to spoil your vacation? Thank you all in advance!

We were in Turkey last year. At first, they didn’t know what to give to whom. Now I can advise you: - upon check-in, it is desirable to give 10 c.u. - the number will be much better than the one that you will be offered initially. Still, don’t say anything, but it’s more pleasant to wake up in a room overlooking not a Turkish trash can, but a beach or a pool; -we did not leave for cleaning, although sometimes you can 1 c.u. leave, they will make you a flower or a swan out of towels; - bartend ... Already often traveled to different hotels in Turkey and Egypt, they always left a tip of $ 1-2. But we are going to such a hotel for the first time, we are interested in how much to leave a tip for the luggage that will be brought to the room, how much to leave at the bar, cleaning, or somewhere else so as not to offend the staff. Interested in the amount and where to leave. Share your experience in hotels of this level.

Tipping in Turkey is solely at the discretion of the client, when they really provided a great service. I don’t think that rolling my chumadan to the room is a cool job, I left a tip to the porter only once in my life, but there he really dragged two suitcases on himself about three hundred meters to the house 300 meters, because the path was dirty, he didn’t want suitcases in smear the dirt. In restaurants, if the food is very tasty, 5-15% of the bill. Farther...

They always left 1 dollar for cleaning, and if they didn’t make figures, they stopped leaving them at all ... It was like they took money, but they didn’t notice the cleaning ... It all depends on the attitude and attention of the staff to you, like it - leave it, don’t like it - no .... In bars - depending on how you drink. To be remembered for the subsequent service "out of turn" and "with soul", a couple of times you can leave for a dollar. And in principle, you can not leave at all. Farther...

Do you yourself like chocolate Alenka? This plasticine can only be eaten by court order. Take the money, it's a safe bet. Vodka, raw smoked sausage and other tasty treats should only be brought to order or to good friends if you know their tastes. Farther...

They take everything and with pleasure, but they love money most of all. Cigarettes and alcohol are expensive in Turkey, so they take a present willingly. At the entrance to the hotel, you can give 15-20 dollars (at the reception), then they will settle without delay and still let you choose a room ... Farther...
