Bungalows for 4 * - good. Looks like it's been refurbished for a few years. New furniture, TV, plumbing tired. Our bungalow (Garden) 302. It even caught wi-fi, which on the island is paid $ 37 per week or $ 10 per day. (reception and restaurants only)
Although the receptionist will say that it costs $ 35, but when you come to pay it will be 37. Tax and tips are added in everything. The room is cleaned badly, the bed is changed every 3 days. Beach towels are not fresh. There is NO beach on the island!! ! What they call a beach is pathetic. And when the tide is out on the island, it’s generally a swamp until lunchtime.
The territory is cleaned very badly, pieces of paper, cigarette butts and records from the "raptor" are lying around, etc.
The food is poor and very monotonous. You won't leave hungry, but don't expect an abundance of exotic fruits or sea-ocean products. Everything is very poor.
There is a weakly Russian-speaking guy at the reception at the Hotel, he calls himself Andrey. Although he is a Maldivian. A very arrogant fellow who will try to swindle you in any case for money. When you needed banal
Throat pills which were not in the first-aid kit with me. To relieve a sore throat. He said that you need to call a doctor for $ 70, he will do an examination and give a prescription. Then medicines will be ordered in Male and delivered to your room. There is nothing to count on $150. Since no medicines are sold without a prescription, and there is no pharmacy on the island. Good idea to call the guide host. (call from the reception for free) she reassured, said that at the airport at the entrance from the left there is a pharmacy where you can buy almost everything, even antibiotics. And pass it through the boat, as every day tourists are taken 10 times to the airport and back. Attention 2 plates of "strepsils" and a pshikalka in the throat, which relieves pain, cost $ 7. Delivery is free.
Most of the guests in this hotel are Chinese. There were a lot of them, it is possible that our vacation coincided with their new year in February.
Once again, back to the bungalows. The difference between "garden" and "scourge" is not significant. Beach room is 8 sq. m. Freestanding and has a bathtub and outdoor rain shower.
The distance difference to the alleged garden beach is 30 meters further.
"garden" twin bungalows 3-5 houses in a row. 3 closed shower without tub. Repair is the same. Selectively, some bungalows have plasma.
As for the "Ocean" bungalows, nothing can be said, since it was not possible to look at them; they were inhabited only by the Chinese. And near the approach to the pontoon there is a booth with security that does not let you go further than 150 meters and watches you "only photo" (photo only) always screams)
There were always enough beds. The beach was missing. Those little sandy stripes. Where is the beach?!! ! ??
And back to Wi-Fi. When you paid for it, take care of the check - sheet. Since you can return to the reception at the last minute before boarding the boat when you leave home to pay for the "Internet" and looking at your already paid check, say "sorry" and what if the check with the payment was lost. You would have to pay again. Be carefull.
On the territory of the hotel, along the pontoon to the pier where boats moor in the evening, sewage always stinks, it can also stink in the room in the shower or in the bathroom.
Don't expect early check in, it's not there. You will not be settled before 14.00, even if you arrived at the hotel at 7 am.
Although I read that there are such lucky ones.
Here is such a low-budget holiday in the Maldives! Tour for 2 adults with air for 10 nights "AL" (garden bungalow)
4 tis $.
We were looking for a beautiful, quiet place - we found it - Male, North Atoll, Maldives (ADAARAN SELECT HUDHURANFUSHI 4 *).
We liked everything, even the garden room (about which there are so few positive reviews) and especially its location, near a banana plantation and around the beach.
We are from Yekaterinburg, but the Maldives tour is only from Moscow, we bought tickets to Moscow separately. There was no choice - only gardens. We thought we would change it upon arrival, but we ended up on Valentine's Day, there were no places either in the gardens or in the beach, oddly enough, there were only places in the ocean villas, but we didn’t want to go there - it was boring.
We had breakfast + dinner. Many people write that all inclusive is better. For whom, we didn’t even go to dinner, we discovered the Loxis bar (surfer side), had lunch and dinner there, everything is very tasty and affordable (they write, everything is expensive there, etc. ), but you don’t eat with empty pockets, it leaves exactly as much as you would eat at home. Drinks are all paid - that's right (also not more expensive than money). We didn’t deny ourselves anything (lunch, dinner, cocktails, beer, seafood, etc. ) in total, it took 300 dollars a day (for two).
The ocean is just super, what colors from emerald to turquoise, everyone writes, they skinned their legs, we did not find such a place where they can be skinned - it still needs to be managed somehow. Yes, indeed, there are three lagoons along the beach villas 170-227, in which it is very deep, fish are everywhere - many different ones, flying chanterelles, crabs, lizards.
Sea of impressions. I advise couples who want to take a break from everything and everyone and enjoy nature to go. Who was with children (very small), you will not envy (flight 9 hours), children on the plane, on the island, are constantly not happy with something, jump around their parents, scream, cry, etc. What a vacation. Rest for children, somewhere closer, where there are many pools, various slides, etc.
Many wrote that bed and towels are not changed. Nothing like that, bed linen was changed every day, there were no towels in the shower, and beach towels were changed every day (if you throw them on a chair on the veranda, you need to carefully listen to the guide when you arrive, Vera will tell you everything)!
From food, breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausages, ham, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, toast, jam, butter, fruit, pastries, tea, coffee and juices.
Dinner: white rice, yellow rice, chicken, vegetables, pasta, chicken, ham, tomatoes, cucumbers, sandwiches, fruits, pastries, tea, coffee.
If you have any questions, please ask, I will be happy to answer! You can't write everything!
Rested from 2.2. 12 to 11.02. 12. flight Kyiv - Abu Dhabi - Male. We took Beach Villa food All inclusive. And now about everything in more detail.
1. The territory of the island is large, the nature is beautiful, so you can take a lot of pictures of paradise places (as in the pictures). The island is full of animals: lizards, geckos, flying foxes, herons. There are many beautiful fish in the water. Maybe because it was not a rainy season and the island was fumigated 2 times with us, but we didn’t see mosquitoes at all. Although there was no entertainment on the island, except for the evening feeding of stingrays and sharks, it was not boring. I managed to see the wedding of a visiting couple from Germany - quite interesting.
2. The rooms are spacious and clean. No living creatures were observed in the room. Air conditioning, TV, plumbing worked without comment (however, the owners of the garden room had a lot of complaints).
3. Diverse food: meat-chicken, beef, pork, fish of several varieties, side dishes, salads - everything is not peppered!! ! There is a separate corner with their local hot spices. Lots of pastries, delicious desserts, yogurts, tropical fruits: pineapple, rambutan, lychee, papaya...... Alcohol: beer, vodka, brandy, rum - Sri Lankan production of quite decent quality. According to the menu in the bar, they make about 10 free cocktails (alcohol and non-alcohol. )
3. Excursions suck: night and morning fishing is aimless boating and no fish caught. A trip to a paradise island ( Kuda Bandos ) - they brought to the island for surfers, ten meters from the beach, heaps of garbage, and dozens of people like us who came to the barbecue and all this for $ 90 per person, though on the way back they brought to the fishing island, Souvenirs there are 2 times cheaper than at the hotel.
4. In general, everything would be great if it were not for one big disappointment - this is the BOTTOM!! ! During high tides, you can still swim at least somehow - waist-deep water, and during serious low tides, corals are exposed, so the sight is sad, though along part of the island there are several deep depressions and a beach near the pier, but these are not the Maldives that I would like to see . The best bathing rooms are from 180 -185 and from 190 -200, in front of them there are 3 deep baths (depth 4-6 meters). From 175 and above villas are all suites, up to these rooms alternate with doubles. Near the villas 220-227 there is a good sandy bottom, but the view is spoiled by the coral reef visible from the water.
5. I don’t know for what reasons, but some couples are offered to move to another island for free, for the last couple of days in Water Bungalow for free !! ! We and 4 other couples moved to Rannalhi, did not regret it (see review in the Rannalhi section) . This is if you live in water bungalows, otherwise the island itself is much smaller than fushi and very little vegetation, instead of beach villas there are two-story barracks, but a very good bottom and depth with a very narrow coastline.
6. Take a minimum of clothes - shorts, T-shirts, light dresses. Be sure to take sun cream, mask, snorkel, box or silicone case for underwater shooting! It is advisable to swim in a T-shirt or a light cape - during snorkeling, the ears, shoulders, back, and legs instantly burn (tested on myself).
7. Spa salon in the hotel is quite decent, although the prices for it, as elsewhere in the Maldives, are too high. The cheapest massage is $ 90 + 16% VAT for 50 minutes, although they do it in good faith. They took Balinese massage and Thai - liked it. For those who have vacationed in Thailand, this is certainly not an option, in terms of price and quality.
PS. For this money, and with "all inclusive" we got a wonderful, unforgettable vacation, smeared with an unfortunate water area. Therefore, we would not come here a second time! So if you want to have a good rest and feel all the charm of relaxation in the Maldives for little money, we would not recommend choosing the Adaaran hotel chain. Since with all the obvious advantages of these hotels, there are minuses that can spoil the rest or pleasant impressions about it.
The food at the hotel is varied and tasty. And don't believe those who say otherwise. The nature is very beautiful, the ocean is amazing! We went on evening fishing trips, went for massages, traveled to Male, and even flew in a seaplane. All very, very much.
Take flashlights with you, watch the crabs and marine life, and do not forget a screwdriver and a knife to open coconuts. In general, I want to return to the Maldives for sure!
April 6.2008
The sea is not allowed to swim. At high tide, the depth is no more than 50 cm. There is practically no sand. The corals start right away. Need slippers. Or - on foot to the pier.
Kitchen... more precisely, the "canteen" of the dormitory of students of chemists named after Berthold Schwartz. I wanted to kill the cook on the first day. In the future, this desire increased exponentially.
The pool is ugly. There are no filters, because in the evening I saw the "staff" throwing bleach into the pool with handles from a bucket....
The staff is all in....one place. They do not respond to requests. They say with a smile - we can not help. In a conversation, the manager even admitted that they do not expect that someone will come to them a second time. Surprisingly, the attitude to Western European tourists is exactly the same (boorish) as to the owners of a hammer and sickle passport.
Summary - crossed out the Maldives from its own globe. No more foot there!
