Going to Giravaru, I came across someone's review - "I liked everything on this island! " I also liked everything about this island. apart from the hotel. a banal three-ruble note, somewhat reminiscent of a Soviet camp site somewhere in the Caucasus. One-storey barrack-type buildings 6 rooms in the building, the rooms are tiny, finished with plywood, the locks on the rooms from the interior doors (with round handles), what is stated, as an outdoor shower - in fact, a faucet for washing feet is a very convenient thing by the way. … More ▾ Going to Giravaru, I came across someone's review - "I liked everything on this island! as an outdoor shower - in fact, a faucet for washing feet is a very convenient thing by the way. There is no safe in the room. The loot can be stored in a safe for
reception. They seal it in an envelope there and take it somewhere . . dumb of course, but nothing was missing from us. Territory is tiny
a tennis court can barely fit between the buildings, which is more of a plus, you don’t have to go far to the restaurant. food is so-so, which is also a plus, you won’t get fat : )
There really is a gym, which pleasantly surprised us to find it in such a hole. And it's really free. Within the territory of
The hotel has a lot of greenery - very old large trees create a cozy shade. Nobody poisons mosquitoes and flies. After the rains, they breed in
unmeasured quantity, so fumitox in your suitcase will come in handy. And, oddly enough, most of the guests are Russians from Moscow. more
there are Italians (topless sunbathing, and not only men), French, Chinese, Dutch, Russians not from Moscow. The Germans did not come across.
So, you forget about all these inconveniences as soon as you get to the beach. Not every island can boast such
a deep and clean lagoon completely without algae, and the house reef in beauty and richness of the underwater world surpasses everything that I have seen before.
It is stated on the internet that they take a boat to the reef 4 times a day for free. This is not true, to put it mildly. Offer to take out
snorkeling somewhere far away to rip off more. And the house reef starts 30 meters from the pier where boats moor. Along the reef
there is a current towards the ocean, at low tide it is weak, or stops altogether. It is best to start the swim in front of the pool, and swim out
directly across the lagoon to the beach. If you want to go diving, a Russian instructor appeared at the dive school on the island just this month -
Volodya, a very serious boy, aged 72, originally from Nakhodka. another Russian-Gosha keeps water sports on the island-windsurf, water
skis, jet skis, etc.
In short, I have never regretted that I spent 2 weeks on this island. I would love to be there again, but there are many other islands.
I hope my review will be useful to you. Sincerely,
Makarov Boris

If you are not looking for rich buffets and just want to enjoy the beauty of nature, take a break from the bustling city - this hotel is for you. But, there are errors in the information: there is no Russian-speaking instructor in the diving school. There is no Russian television either (there are 3 channels - in a completely incomprehensible language). The concept of "built-in music" is not entirely clear to me - but there is no such thing there either. A small pool - more precisely, a HUGE bath, but if there is an ocean nearby - the issue is resolved by itself. "Windsurfing, water skiing" - for 10 days they did not notice. "Hot and cold water" - not hot, but just boiling water, and cold - warm, there was simply no need to turn on the warm tap. And it is also desirable to know a foreign language, at least a little.

This was our first trip to the Maldives: the hotel is located on a small island near the airport, you can walk around it in half an hour. The hotel is not new, but somehow very homey: small, cozy, the staff is VERY friendly. The food is so-so, but this is more about the Maldives as a whole, and not the hotel: in the Maldives they always cook so-so, especially meat. … More ▾ This was our first trip to the Maldives: the hotel is located on a small island near the airport, you can walk around it in half an hour. The hotel has a dive center, the boats are old, but GOOD well-maintained equipment, few tourists, each diving instructor gives personal attention, there is no feeling that diving training and the dives themselves are put on a "stream" (in a bad sense of the word). There we trained as open water divers. The training took place in a lagoon in the ocean, and not in a pool (as we later studied in Egypt, in Thailand). It's very nice!! ! Around the fish, beauty! Not like in the pool. This is a great place to learn to dive! the hotel will appeal to those who do not like noisy parties, but prefer relaxation.
We really enjoyed!! !
