It was the first time on vacation with my husband abroad. I read different reviews about this hotel. But, to be honest, neither the difficult flight (Kyiv-Sharjah-Colombo-Male) nor the old plumbing upset me. We stayed at the hotel only at night while sleeping - it’s so beautiful there that you don’t even want to leave the beach and you’re afraid you won’t see something, miss it))).

In the end, I didn’t go there for a shower (or bath) - I have it at home. I went there for a good mood, relaxation, positive and tan. I got all this!
Yes, I agree, the hotel is not new, the plumbing is the same, but the service there is excellent, the cuisine pleased with its diversity (you definitely won’t lose weight there), disco 3 times a week, fishing, trips to Male, neighboring islands, etc. ).
Do not listen to anyone, see for yourself and evaluate. Personally, I want to go there!

It was our first vacation abroad and we were very worried that it would be difficult for us without knowing English. Everything turned out to be not so difficult. The hotel somehow filled out questionnaires and enjoyed the rest without knowing the language. One thing is bad for diving without English, but snorkeling was enough for us. Beauty is indescribable, fish of all kinds and colors, the most beautiful water world, moray eels, sharks, rays, dolphins. The room is as expected, everything is simple without frills. On the island, a large white, sandy spit goes into the transparent ocean. For a free tour to the capital Male, to our surprise, we were given a Russian-speaking guide, since we were the only Russians, it turned out to be a personal tour. In souvenir shops, sellers speak Russian quite tolerably and take off prices by almost two, or even more. And the cheapest souvenirs are in the local village (they are brought in during a tour of the islands), but you need to bargain until you win. In general, we all really liked it. On the day of departure, according to the rule, the room must be vacated at 12.00, we were allowed to use the room and the bar until departure without any additional payment, and we left the hotel at 17.30. We have found a wonderful place to spend our holidays. We also want to go to the Maldives, because there are so many islands!

Good evening. Just returned, rested from 12 to 22 November. I must say right away that the opinion with my wife is a little different: she liked it more than me. They flew perfectly, both there and back. The island is big enough. The proximity of the island to the capital Male and the port has a negative effect. At high tide, a lot of dirt (plastic bottles, cans, coconuts, etc. ) is washed ashore from the ships standing on the roadstead. Garbage bags stand on the beach for a long time. All this leaves a certain imprint of neglect.
I can't say anything bad about the food, it's delicious. The rooms in the hotel are lokhovsky, the furniture is old, the plumbing is pre-revolutionary. The room that we were offered, we immediately changed to the second floor, because on the first floor it smells of dampness and is completely shabby. Changed without problems (I advise you). There are almost no Russians in the hotel, mostly Germans. In Russian, no one speaks belmes, including the reception, so if there is no basic knowledge of English or German, there will be problems. What we liked: no need to look for a table during breakfast, lunch, dinner, they are numbered to match the room number; the sea is beautiful but shallow. There is no such transparency as in Egypt. There are no corals. Lots of life. The main purpose of my trip is diving. The organization of diving in the Maldives is very clear and strict. All instructors (there are 5 of them) are professionals of the highest class, they treat Russians very kindly (I was one of the Russians). Don't even come without a certificate. It is impossible to get a certificate, because there is no Russian instructor. The maximum diving depth is 30 meters and this is justified: very strong currents, well, very strong currents. Two Germans were carried at a depth of 30 meters per kilometer into the open ocean, barely found. But again - the water is not as clear as in the Red Sea, so there is no such service as underwater video filming. Excursions: were in Male and on night fishing. You can go to Male (free of charge) for the sake of interest, it’s better not to go fishing (price 35 USD per person): 5 hours in the open ocean on a yacht (similar to a tram) caught 5 fish, but talked everyone so that it was bad . and best of all, there are no amenities on the yacht. And one more thing: a lot of algae on the beach and in the water. It's not dirty, but it's annoying. In short, if it were not for diving, I would whine. My advice: still try to choose a hotel away from the capital. I put 4, but with a big interference.
With all respect, Andrew.

First time in the Maldives. Holidays at the Club Faru hotel left the most wonderful memories. The island is very well maintained and clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are, of course, furnished in a spartan style, but everything you need is there. Believe me, you will spend a minimum of time in the room, and you will simply not notice the shortcomings that exist (furniture and plumbing are not new).

Believe me, you will spend a minimum of time in the room, and you will simply not notice the shortcomings that exist (furniture and plumbing are not new).
We went during the so-called rainy season (from May to November). It rained 4 times: 1 time during the day and 3 times at night for 15 minutes, no more. This is a real tropical downpour, it starts very abruptly and ends just as abruptly. Don't worry, it won't be rainy there.
Be sure to bring fins, masks and snorkels with you. Near the island itself, the fish is not teeming, but there is something to see, especially on the other side of the island, which is opposite the reception and overlooks the airport by the coast. There grow corals and fish more. Twice a day, on a local motor boat, they take fish to the neighboring islands for free to gawk. A free tour of the capital Male is provided. Although they say that there is nothing special to see there, we still went to clear our conscience. Nothing like that, you can take a look. It's funny how they are. The Maldivians on their scooters resemble ants, especially since they are fragile, swarthy and small.
So, back to the island. They feed with a bang. The variety of dishes, of course, is not so huge, but there is always a choice of meat, fish, side dishes, salads, desserts and other things. The food is delicious and the food is always fresh and of good quality. Two bars are open from 10 am to midnight. The local beer is good, by the way. Much better than in Turkey. In the Maldives, it clearly contains degrees. And I also advise you to try the table wine. Whiskey and rum are not a fountain. But this is an amateur.
The beaches are clean and there are plenty of sun loungers. You can hardly see the people; Sometimes you even get the feeling that you are the only one on the island. Small fish are splashing near the shore, stingrays are swimming. There is only one drawback - when the wind blows harder, a lot of algae nails to the shore. But the natives quickly and carefully clean them.
I advise you to take a stronger knife with you to open coconuts. A very fun activity! There they lie underfoot. You can also ask the natives to crack a nut. They are a small business. 1 coconut - 1 dollar.
The island has a water sports center. You can ride anything your heart desires: kayaks, water skiing, canoes, windsurfing, paralyzing (parachutes), a banana... There is also a spa center, Thai girls will offer you 5 types of massage from $53 to $84.
Be sure to take sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30, Panthenol foam from burns and BF glue with you (patches do not stick). The sun is very tricky. But the climate is amazing. Golden mean. No suffocating heat. Yes, more mosquito repellent if you want to sleep with the windows open and listen to the ocean surf.
And do not believe the nasty things that they write about Club Faru. Very comfortable and decent economy class hotel. For such modest money by Maldivian standards, this is the best choice!

I will be short. Before arriving at the hotel, we saw reviews, which were mostly negative. None of what people described (bad) happened! Wonderful hotel, island, service and stay! Do not listen to bores looking for the bad in everything! Remember that this is one of the cheapest hotels, so you don't have to expect doormen, pools in the room, etc.

When I was going to Club Faro, I ran into a lack of information, so I am writing a detailed review. -Are there mosquitoes there? -There are mosquitoes, they are poisoned, but to no avail. if you like to sleep with an open window, stock up on fumitox. -What sockets are in the room? -2 types of sockets. with 3 holes, lamps near the bed and a water heater are connected, and 2 more sockets with two holes and a pin (old euros) chargers fit into them without problems, no adapter is needed - rating of the hotel: numbers - 3+.

-Are there mosquitoes there? -There are mosquitoes, they are poisoned, but to no avail. if you like to sleep with an open window, stock up on fumitox.
-What sockets are in the room? -2 types of sockets. with 3 holes, lamps near the bed and a water heater are connected, and 2 more sockets with two holes and a pin (old euros) chargers fit into them without problems, no adapter is needed
- rating of the hotel:
numbers - 3+. why is the room large, the bed is large, strong 2-bedroom 2 by 2 meters, a large loggia or terrace. in early reviews they wrote about the key for the safe, now there are electronic safes in every room. why not 4? - antediluvian plumbing spoils everything, there is no hood in the shower room, there is no trouble, they DO NOT GIVE shower gel and shampoo !!! ! take this little thing with you.
rooms in blocks of 8 rooms on 2 floors, all blocks except 3 are well located, have access to cozy beaches, a lot of greenery, palm trees, bushes. you should not settle in rooms from 49 to 73 numbers. they do not have a beach, but a passage yard near the restaurant.
food - 4+. why not 5? few good pastries and fruit could give more. everything else is of high quality. there are always 3 types of fish, meat, chicken, sometimes in Korean, sometimes in Canary. varied menu every day. why with +? if you have a birthday, they will clear the table for you with flowers, bring a cake with candles and all the waiters will sing in chorus in their own language. so touching : )
now the service is 5. I have never seen such friendly staff anywhere, and they do it regardless of the tip. after calling the reception, any problem is solved in 5 minutes. it is also very convenient that the transfer and excursions are organized by the hotel, and not by the intermediary-host. no need to look for their representative, no need to meet with the guide, but just contact the reception. excursions and spa services are paid upon departure from the hotel.
and finally, the sea-5+. I never swam so much anywhere, I even got rid of my stomach : ) there is no house reef, but they take a boat 2 times a day to Full Moon and Kurumba for free snorkeling always to different places. There are large sharks on the Full Moon reef, and on the last day we managed to swim with them. we were dropped off on that part of the reef where they are full. according to the picture in the dive center, the black tip reef shark grows up to 2 m. it definitely grows up to 150-170 cm, I saw it myself : ) and although you understand that these sharks are not more dangerous than stray dogs, the sensations are beyond : ) : ) if you want to see them on Full Moon , swim closer to the shore, and you will see them, oh promise : ) it is also interesting to swim near our island, especially in the northern part, where the jungle is, just beware of a strong current at high tide. easily take away.
And most importantly, time on the island flies unnoticed. you will hardly need books and a computer. I wish you all pleasant impressions and deep satisfaction, sincerely yours, Makarov B.

We rested in Club FARU from 11 to 23 August 2007. Conclusions: I advise you not to contact Kuda. ru and do not go to this hotel. I'll put it in order: 1. Conclusions: I advise you not to contact Kuda. ru and do not go to this hotel.
I'll put it in order:
1. The tour was bought in a hurry in Kuda. ru, so it turned out to be 1000-1400 dollars more expensive (for two) than from tour operators (which we found out after buying the tour).
2. Already after buying the tour, after reading the reviews about this hotel (about the fact that the island is terribly dirty and the hotel is clearly not 4 stars), they tried to abandon the tour. The attempt was unsuccessful, since the tour was paid in the amount of 100% - after payment, you can only refuse to lose the entire cost of the tour. At the same time, it is difficult to use non-departure insurance - due to the fact that you have only one way to get it - to end up in the hospital near death. At the same time, if the tour is for two, you must be in the hospital together. In addition, Kuda. ru Agent tried to convince us for a long time and kindly that all these reviews do not correspond to reality, that everything is wonderful there.
3. Upon arrival in Male (the capital of the Maldives), we were met by the Maldivian Agent, who, with all her appearance, let us know that she did not intend to communicate with us for a long time and explain something (apparently, she had more important things to do at that moment). To the question: "How long does it take to get to Club Faru? ", Maldivian's agent replied: "1 hour". We got 10 minutes.
4. The main thing about this island:
4.1. The island is surrounded by algae, which are cleaned several times a day along the coast, but without much success. Algae all over the beach during the whole holiday.
4.2. Dirty water is not only due to algae, but due to various debris floating around the island.
4.3. Dirty sand from dead corals. There is almost no white "imported" sand.
5. There is no Russian-speaking guide promised to Kuda. ru on the island.
6. Room - 3 stars, probably. But not at all 4. The smell of sewage in the toilet, cracked walls. Poor and old furniture.
7. There is no entertainment on the island. If you think "hang out" - you have chosen the wrong island.
8. Good luck!

Dear tourists, be careful when choosing a hotel!! ! My husband and I rested from 11.01 to 26.01. 2007. Beyond discussion, the nature and climate of the Maldives, as well as the beauty of the Indian Ocean, are magnificent. However, I would like to draw your attention to the financial side of the issue when choosing a Club Faru hotel: this is not 4 * and not even 3 *, but rather 2 * (I don’t know if it was).

The hotel is in a state of disrepair, the island is unkempt, on its eastern part it is just a garbage dump. The air in the rooms is stale, smells like a stable. The neighborhood with the airport is significantly embarrassing, no notorious feeling of detachment from civilization. In addition, the flight crew of charter flights are waiting for their passengers at Club Faru (apparently at the expense of the same tourists), and I must say, they are not behaving very decently.
Do not react to “all inc”, in the Maldives it is extremely modest, as a result, to the cost of the tour 6300 USD (flying Qatari Airlines, which is quite satisfied), another third of its cost was added, spent on variety in food, drink and so on.
Summary: the indicated hotel is a budget option for a holiday in the Maldives, according to the fortune system for 2000 USD, you can relax here, but paying big money for it is simply stupid!! ! Realistically evaluate your financial capabilities, choose a hotel of a higher level so as not to spoil the impression of the Maldives. If you have any questions, write to santal06@rambler. ru. Sincerely, Elena.
P. S. There are no photos of the room and the restaurant, as there is simply nothing to photograph there, a sad sight. You can assess the condition of the hotel by the last photo against the backdrop of the bar.
