Wi-Fi in the room does not catch, the only place where it works is a smoking room. The street where the "Villa Popovich" is located is very narrow and without a sidewalk, cars drive along it all the time, so going to the beach or for a walk was very annoying, because. cars had to be let through, and only after that it was possible to go, there was not enough space to pass each other.
To a good beach, for example "Mogren" walk 35-40 minutes at a fast pace.
I would not recommend this villa for a holiday in Budva, the villa is more like a hostel.
The furniture in the room can be seen in the photo. They took out the trash themselves.
There is air conditioning and TV, but we do not watch it. We are on tour! And there is nothing to watch on TV.
Wi-Fi weakly falls short of the 4th floor (reception level-2 sticks), but generally catches, even watched the video.
Someone wrote that there is no room in the room. We had a big closet! And yet, it turns out the bed has a luggage compartment under the mattress! Just lift the mattress and the mechanism will open it! This is where you can put your suitcases!
Yes, the hostess asks to save. I think this is correct. Moreover, because of the Corona, covid, their income is quite sad. How to save? Turn off the air conditioner, the light on the floor and the boiler. And it is right.
There is also a fridge and a kettle!
They also treated us to coffee with pastries and a bag of brewed coffee to go!
Thanks for the hospitality!
The hotel was chosen according to the budget principle and in appearance, and we were incredibly lucky! I liked everything very much! the territory of the hotel is small, but on the 1st floor there is an automan with coffee and a couple of tables for breakfast; at the hotel, you can additionally order food from the hostess (breakfast, dinner); The holiday was a success, we give this hotel 5 stars! Recommended!
Villa Popovich is a 15-20 minute walk from the beach. You need to go all the time along a straight road down through the park. It takes longer to walk to the old town - 30-40 minutes. It is convenient to walk only to the bus station, which is not far away.
There are many small shops around with food and water, but beware of the Markovichi minimarket on the corner with the avenue where the park begins. There, in the check they break more expensive than on the price tag, and sometimes it comes across spoiled, we had an unpleasant incident - they did not want to return money for mold on cheese. But in many other stores very nice sellers.
Room cleanliness:
The rooms are dirty, not cleaned well enough after previous visitors, the toilet seat was not cleaned, and someone's used washcloth hung in the shower. The sheet had yellow spots in a conspicuous place and was darned (it was changed for us upon request). When we checked out, the girl went into the room and in our presence began to change bed linen, which, firstly, caused us inconvenience, and secondly, we could easily get something dirty there. Although, without thinking twice, she herself folded the new linen at the bottom of the closet, where there is a place for shoes. I imagined that our pillowcases had already been lying there, and I felt sick.
Number:
The hotel met us with the need to drag our suitcases up the stairs to the fourth floor. It was even more difficult to lower it back, because the suitcases "recovered" by 5 kilograms, and we are two fragile girls.
The deluxe room has a double bed with a good mattress, a lot of bedside tables, a large chest of drawers with drawers and a wardrobe (the same one). There was a hairdryer, but we brought our own after reading the reviews. Big fridge is a plus. Air conditioning is a plus. There is no socket in the bathroom - a minus. The shower stall is ok.
Only one towel - for hands. During the week, towels were changed for us 1 time, and the garbage was taken out the same time.
WiFi:
Wi-Fi is declared, but it didn’t catch at all in our room, it caught only on the ground floor on the street, but the signal is still very bad, for example, it was impossible to call via viber. The router is located in a neighboring building.
The hostess does not speak Russian and English, it is hard to explain, especially when you make a complaint, she understands absolutely nothing.
I don’t know how much the hostess received from the tour operator we paid, but it didn’t cost us a penny, so I’m generally unhappy.
- A working air conditioner that cooled the room in 2 minutes
- Refrigerator with freezer
- Beautiful terrace
- Clean bed linen and towels changed once a week
- Nice hostess
Minuses
- The hostess sometimes broke into our open room without asking
- Ordered DBL, got two joined beds, not one double
- The room is dead, all the furniture and plumbing is very old
- The boiler was enough for 2 minutes under hot water (1 person washes in cold water, but because of the heat it could be survived)
- Internet is not available in the room, only on the terrace. The speed is about 1 Mbps.
- About 1 km to the sea.
- The sea itself is very dirty
- In all of Budva, fish can be found only in one restaurant, it is not in stores
Adviсe:
- At the crossroads below, turn left and walk away from the central beach, it is less crowded and there are fewer ships and boats and there is a Roda supermarket along the way
- The prices in the Maxi Market and Roda Market supermarkets are almost the same, but different groups of goods are cheaper in one market or another
- Go to Jaz Beach, there might be cool festivals
- Excursions (for example, canyons) can be replaced with cheap bus transfers, there is a bus station in Budva
When we arrived it was cool, we asked the hostess Zorica for 2 blankets, which is apparently a rarity for Montenegro, - she gave it without any problems. 1 of them even his grandson-). All our requests were immediately fulfilled, the room was cleaned a couple of times with the change of linen. On the 2nd floor there are teapots, an iron, cups - they took it for free. There is a small patio with a table. The villa is close to Slovenska Plaza. To the sea 7-10 minutes. Ate tasty and inexpensive in Kangaroo, at the very bottom of our street on the left. If by the sea - restaurant Jadran (it was recommended to us by many). Leaving Zoritsa even gave us a gift-))
I also note that there was a small tray with two glasses in the room. There was no kettle or hairdryer, but it was so hot that a hairdryer was simply not needed, and instead of a kettle, we had a super kettle with us, which helped us out a lot.
By the way, if you want to put your things that were in your luggage in order after the flight, then this is quite difficult to do, the iron is glued with adhesive tape and its surface resembles the frying pan of an avid bachelor who cooked himself scrambled eggs on Monday, but forgot to wash it.
But the main conclusion is that you are going to rest, and this is the most important thing, not to look for shortcomings in the room or service, but to recharge yourself with positive, improve your health, enjoy nature, the fabulous Adriatic Sea. It is simply impossible not to want to return to Montenegro, it is a small paradise on earth. I want everyone to be convinced of this -: ))))
