However, it is not for nothing that it is said that "disadvantages are the continuation of our merits. " So it is in the Hotel Mogren, its greatest advantage - a good location, near the historical center - is also its biggest drawback. The hotel rooms overlook the promenade and the square, where life does not stop even in the absence of folklore festivals.

However, the number of rooms "Mogren" needs urgent renovation. Especially the bathrooms, because the mold in the bathroom, as well as the rusty balcony railings, do not add to the mood of the vacationers. By the way, there are no full-fledged balconies in the hotel - instead of them there are small railings blocking the "exit from the window" for vacationers (the so-called "French balconies"). I don't know where Mogren's guests dry their swimming trunks, probably in the bathroom on the radiator. Otherwise, the rooms have the usual equipment - safe, TV, mini-bar, hairdryer, air conditioning. The hotel "Mogren" has an elevator - a great help for people with heavy luggage.
Due to the high noise level, I would not advise families with very young children to settle here. However, people who are accustomed to noise (or ear plugs), who love night parties and are unpretentious in interior design, will be comfortable here.

This hotel is located in one of the best places in Budva and has great views from the rooms and grounds, especially from the outdoor terrace overlooking the sea and the Old Town. Pluses - close proximity to the beach of Richard's Head, from which it is a stone's throw to the famous Mogren, and, of course, very close to the walls of the Old City.

This is a relatively old hotel, but, to be fair, it is well maintained and maintained so that guests do not feel like they are in “rotten” rooms and premises. The lady at the reception reminded me of the brightest representatives of this special caste, who are remembered by frequent business trips of the Soviet period, lovers of the good old films of those times and experienced "sanatorsk". I assure you that I didn’t mean anything bad, just an old school worker, in the best sense of the term, caused a smile.
The hotel is built in Mediterranean style and has an elevator. There are three restaurants, moreover, quite frequented by guests of the whole city, a lobby bar, a playground, two terraces and a corner with free internet. Mass events are regularly held on one of the terraces (I won’t say how much they can interfere with hotel guests who want silence).
Meals here are possible BB (buffet), HB or FB (menu order).
The rooms here are "moderately used" - that is, their "use", of course, is visible, but they cannot be called dead. The design of the bathroom brought back memories of the early post-Soviet period, but clean, although, as you understand, not new. Bath - behind the curtain, from the soap-ryl only liquid soap, to be honest - I was surprised. The room has a safe, clock, telephone, air conditioning, TV, mini-bar.
A little about the beaches of Budva. I'll start with the distant Yaz, it is so called because it is located in the lovely and clean bay of Yaz (JAZ). From Budva it is easy to get there by taxi, only 5 Euros, so if a company of four, then it works out fine. The cost of sun loungers and umbrellas is 3 Euros per unit, but many sunbathe just like that on clean pebbles covered with a towel. The water there is of excellent transparency, the bay itself is the most beautiful, and even protected from the wind, so you are guaranteed beach pleasure. The beach is quite well equipped, sunbeds and umbrellas are different, for every taste, there are cafes and bars.
Perhaps someone will be interested that in this bay, on the left side, if you look at the sea, behind the rock is one of the nudist beaches of Montenegro. Fans of this business understand what it is about, but I want to warn those who are just curious and looking for adventure - it is better for single girls not to meddle there. The fact is that one of the girls from our company, who decided to merge with nature and get complete relaxation on an almost empty beach, had an incident there, from which she could not recover for a long time. It turns out that everything is simple - fans of the rest “what mother gave birth to”, perceive it all as the norm of life, but local guys think differently - a beautiful girl came to show herself, which means that we must also demonstrate everything. Thank God, everything ended well, but the girl suffered a lot of fear, especially considering that the beach is rather deserted. Please note that the proximity of this beach will in no way disturb the peace of the rest, most likely, the majority of vacationers will not even notice its presence.
I highly recommend going there, at least once on an excursion - this is one of the best beaches on the Budva Riviera.
Slovenska Plaž a beach. What to say? The beach is quite long, but in the season there are still people there, like herrings in a barrel - such a pleasure for an amateur. It should be noted that this beach is equipped with good infrastructure - here you will find bars, and restaurants, and cafes, and snack bars like "fast food", but of high quality, and even fishermen with the sale of their catch after 16.30 (closer to the Old Town). In some restaurants you can order the preparation of fresh seafood - 8 Euro per kilo, no matter what kind of living creatures you buy, moreover, this is with serving and service, I think this is a good price. On this beach there is a local open-air disco called "Trocadero" (not to be confused with a nightclub with the same name). There are also “changing rooms” - peculiar, look at the photo. Toilets are all paid, sun lounger + umbrella 10 Euro - bites. Then, there are a lot of water activities - also their own nuances, so be prepared.
Richard's Glava Beach is a small beach that literally squeezes into the Old Town on one side, and the rocks leading to Mogren Beach on the other. On this beach there is a bar where you can take a beer and sit in sun loungers for free and use the toilet (but this is if you are lucky to take a suitable table). There is a pier there, but it is dilapidated or not yet repaired. The bottom is large pebbles, but large stones are regularly removed from the beach. This beach is used by vacationers from Avala. It offers a gorgeous view from the Citadel in the Old City.
Mogren Beach is perhaps the most famous of the local beaches. In fact, there are two of them - Mogren-1 and Mogren-2. A picturesque path along the cliff leads to them just from the beach of Richard's Head. There is also a bay, which consists of two parts, which designate two beaches. To the second Mogren, you will have to go through a wooden passage in the rock, and, at the initial stage, you will have to enter the water knee-deep, and maybe even higher. But this does not stop the fans of this place and there are also enough people there, perhaps a little less than on the first beach, but in the season, I mean, it will be dense there. On the beach, everything is available for a comfortable stay - bars, showers, toilets. On the second beach there is even something similar to a restaurant, but in early June it was still closed there, so I can’t say for sure.
In general, for those who do not like to spoil their vacation with excessive pickiness, it is quite a normal accommodation option, especially considering the location.

Clean rooms, good food, friendly staff. And most importantly - the place is chic: next to the old city, which is amazingly beautiful both during the day (you swim in the sea, and in front of your eyes like a postcard - the old city with a bell tower, tiled roofs) and in the evening, lit by lights, with narrow streets and cafes.

And most importantly - the place is chic: next to the old city, which is amazingly beautiful both during the day (you swim in the sea, and in front of your eyes like a postcard - the old city with a bell tower, tiled roofs) and in the evening, lit by lights, with narrow streets and cafes. Under the city walls concerts are held in the evenings. Here is the main street for the evening promenade. The place is very good. Shops are also not far away and the bus circle (where they usually pick up on excursions) is nearby. In general, we advise (we ourselves want to come here again next year). Have a good rest!

The rooms are very clean, the bed is white. Cleaning is done quickly and imperceptibly for us. We only took breakfast. Not a buffet like in Turkey, but quite decent (yes, eggs, scrambled eggs and sausages, but they have all kinds of cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, various pastries, muesli, yogurt, juices). The hotel has many restaurants. Restaurants of different levels and different pricing policies. The most expensive restaurant still turns out to be very cheap compared to Russian prices (lunch for 4 people, with a drink for dad, without refusing anything, maximum 40 euros). All of these restaurants offer an additional 20% discount for guests staying at the Mogren Hotel. The location of the hotel is in the very center, or rather the epicenter of local attractions. Probably not suitable for tourists with babies, but for people who do not want to miss the evenings, the most suitable option. Of course, there is a disco and a party nearby, but with tightly closed plastic windows, the noise is minimal. Our balcony overlooked the disco square (the disco ends at 1 am). That is why we write about the noise, although during the day the children, and we got out so that the noise was for nothing. But if the rooms are on the other side, it is much quieter. We were lucky, the first week was the festival of folk dances of the world, then the ballet. You could watch everything from the balcony))) In general, there are many attractions for children in Budva. The beaches are pebbles, somewhere small, somewhere larger. But where there are sandy beaches, the water is muddy, and on pebble beaches it is simply crystal clear. (Digression: All parents with small children tend to sandy beaches, but there is mud and crowds of people. It seems to me that it is more useful and safe to bathe children in the clearest water of pebble beaches). The nearest beach from the hotel is quite decent (25 meters from the hotel), but if you walk 200 meters to the side along a beautiful path along the rocks, you will get to a magnificent beach. Or, for a change, sail to the island for 3 euros one way (small free) there is generally excellent !!!! ! The hotel is in the best location in the city, close to the old town. The view from the window was excellent. We went around the whole city and realized that our hotel, if you compare the price and quality, is the best. Bed linen is changed every other day, towels - every day. The staff is friendly, there is a lovely self-service restaurant on the ground floor.

The room has all the amenities (air conditioning, TV). fed very well. in the morning buffet, you could try their national product - prosciutto. dinner consisted of 3 courses (first, soup, meat, fish, chicken in different variations) and dessert (ice cream, cake, fruit). Mogren beach, in my opinion, is the most beautiful and cozy in Budva. the sea is perfect, transparent!!!!! ! many excursions are offered. we visited 3: rafting, excursions in montenegro and croatia. impressions are indescribable. the nature is wonderful!!!!!!!! ! the cities, the architecture is interesting!!! ! in budva with animation there is complete order, there is everything you want, and sea entertainment, a banana and a tablet, beloved by Russians, as well as parachuting, riding a scooter, on a yacht. on the embankment and in the old town there are a lot of pleasant cafes where the food is very tasty. also discos (and there are not 2, but at least 7 of them along the embankment), of course, very similar, but go in to move, if you can call it that (stand at a table, listen to loud local music and rub your butts with a neighbor), look at local youth (and there is something to look at) you can. it seems to me that if you need a fun, active pastime, then choose the city of Budva !!!! ! I liked the rest very much !!!! ! we do not regret anything, if possible, we will repeat our trip to the city of Budva and the Mogren hotel !!! !

Literally half an hour after landing, we were already sitting on the bus taking us to Budva. We drove for a very short time, and now we are near the hotel. The settlement went without problems, although our group (24 people) mostly consisted of women over 40. Some then ran to change rooms to rooms with a balcony (they changed without problems), but everything suited us anyway. We were not going to hang around in the room, and the living conditions there are standard. Towels were changed every day and bed linen once a week. The hotel is a bit run down, located in the heart of resort life, close to the beach and opposite the old town. It does not have its own territory and there is no pool, but it is not needed when such a wonderful sea is nearby. The water is emerald in color, completely transparent, even near the buoys you can see the bottom and fish. Fish swim near the shore, where there is not even a small surf. The water just splashes along the shore. Deep begins quickly, and you do not have to wander through the water for a long time. I strongly advise everyone not to go to the city beach (many of us were injured there), but to Mogren Beach. For us, the entrance was free, for strangers - 1 euro (as they say in Montenegro). For a deck chair and an umbrella, you had to pay 5 euros each. Be sure to buy special slippers for the beach on the waterfront in shops. They will not let you injure your feet on sharp stones or sea urchins. They cost 10 euros.
There is no buffet in the hotel, in principle, although we were promised a buffet breakfast. In fact, we were all sitting at the tables, and the waiters offered us options, and you could only choose one, for example, scrambled eggs with bacon, omelet with cheese, omelet with ham, ham and cheese, and meat or cheese pie. Here, choose. Even the women remained half-starved, to say nothing of the men. Mandatory - orange juice, bread (limited), butter, jam, honey. Drinks also need to choose one option - coffee, tea, kefir, cocoa. In general, this is not Turkey and not Egypt. But after dinner we could hardly crawl out from the table. We were offered an appetizer (spaghetti or meat casserole), soup (the same, but tasty), hot - fish or various meats with a side dish, and dessert - watermelon or cake or pudding. As a result, everyone gained weight.
But in general, we were satisfied with the rest. A very clean and friendly country. Benevolent people. There is absolutely no theft (in the afternoon I forgot the purchase on the bench, and in the evening I found it there). We will definitely come again, but we will not take food at the hotel again.
