Dear tourists, has anyone been to Rome this year? Interested in the following: 1. What is the situation with tickets to the Colosseum? Does it make sense to book in advance or not? Earlier, near the Coliseum, tourists were taken by the hand and offered excursions (in Russian). And how now, given the drop in tourist traffic? 2. Did they change the audio guides in the Vatican or are they still the same old phones that need to be held up to the ear?

The question is no longer topical, but I look not only I have encountered. Details: through Tripmaidrim I bought tickets from Kharkov with a short connection in Rome, 5 days before departure Ernest cancels flights from Kharkov and I agree to fly from Kyiv, it’s inconvenient, but there’s nothing to do and time is extremely limited to rush around. Another situation: we bought tickets separately - with a connection in Stockholm, on the eve of the Norwegians sent an invitation to register by email, and in Stockholm they said that the flight was canceled, but sent to the destination by waybill and provided with a hotel, but arrived at the final destination late at 9 o'clock . For the sake of interest, I applied for compensation in 2 different companies, but for 3 months now. silence.

The questions are as follows: 1) is biglietteriamusei.vatican.va the official website for selling tickets? 2) How does the tour go - is the group led by a real guide or are they given audio guides to everyone and you can walk as you like? 3) Should I order the Vatican Gardens separately? As I understand it, this is a separate excursion and the ticket costs 17 euros. I remember looking at ticket prices a few months ago and saw that there are excursions to the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel with gardens. But now I can't find any such tickets. 4) St. Peter's Basilica - Do I need to purchase a priority entry ticket? How to climb the dome of the cathedral? There is a guided tour of the cathedral on Ticketbar with a climb to the dome, but it is impossible to buy tickets for it. 5) Is one day spent in the Vatican enough? 6) Are there any nuances or organizational aspects that should be taken into account when visiting the Vatican.

Friends, tell me the places in Rome that are worth visiting first. We will be in Rome for a day and a half - I want to spend time usefully and with interest. Children are small, so long walks are not for us - we need a park where you can lie on the grass and beautiful places. Perhaps someone can advise and shops where prices for clothes and shoes are not hundreds of euros)? P.S. we will live near Santa Maria Maggiore

I'm going to Italy with a bus tour. In Rome 1 day, travel time July 20th. Is it worth spending 43 euros on an optional excursion to the Vatican. I’m afraid that I won’t see Rome either and they’ll drive it through the Vatican with the speed of the wind?

Good day to all. Connoisseurs, tell me if there is a site where you can pre-book tickets to the Colosseum without intermediaries, so that later you don’t have to stand in line on the spot. Maybe there is something similar to the Vatican website? And instilled tickets there are the same or there are also several programs like in the Vatican. If there are comments on visiting the Colosseum, what to look for, how to build a route, and so on. I will be grateful.

Hello everyone! Please tell me who booked hotels on the websites: www.wimdu.com, as well as www.gomio.com How do they behave, are they trustworthy? I have always only booked hotels on booking.com in the past, but there is a limited selection and a little more expensive. I plan to book apartments, they are cheaper and more comfortable, but I doubt these sites. Please, anyone in the know, tell me. And who else knows inexpensive housing in the center of Rome, give me the coordinates. Thanks

Do you need an adapter for the sockets in the hotel (I read in Rome that there are some not so holes in the sockets)? And how does Wi-Fi work?

Good afternoon! I'm going to spend my holidays in Rome. I booked the hotel myself through booking.com. The hotel does not accept cards, only cash at the counter upon arrival. Can I provide confirmation of the reservation of this hotel when applying for a visa, or should the reservation only be guaranteed (prepaid)? Thanks!

Dear friends, help me decide ... I really want to go to Rome at the beginning of summer, is it possible to combine a trip with a vacation at sea? I read that it is a 30-minute drive from Rome to the sea ... what kind of beaches are there? And in general is it worth it to combine the rest?

After some thought, the choice of NY celebration fell on Rome. Naturally, NG is not celebrated there as we do. But still, maybe experts will advise what to see at this time, what to visit. What are the tips and tricks? Who can share their experiences? Thanks.

I would like to visit Italy, namely Rome (2-3 days), Florence (1 day) and Venice (1 day), the budget is up to 12,000 UAH for two. Questions: 1. How to get a visa (as far as I know, there is no Italian consulate in Donetsk (for example, Donetsk->Rome Fiumicino); 2. Booking hotels (advise cheap hotel options, you can hostels) 3. Travel through Italy (from Rome to Venice and Florence), train. or bus 4. Ideally, if you go to Rome by plane through wizz Air, and in Rome, transfer and connect to the group).
