Insurance for a visa to Italy, from not leaving - is it a necessity?
Who really "burned out" without this insurance? My tour has already been paid for, I’ll pick up the documents in Moscow, what if they don’t get a visa, will I still have time to pay for it before departure or not, do I need to pay for it right away?

Travel cancellation insurance is not required.
But, if you have doubts about issuing a visa (or relatives are sick, etc.), it is better to do it.
I paid right away and did the right thing.
Good luck!

So, this insurance is for the case when, due to circumstances, you can refuse the tour altogether, and not lose money? Or does it only apply to visa documents? Thank you.

The visa is paid immediately, unequivocally. Often it is done on the last day before departure, and sometimes it becomes known about its presence only at the airport. I went to Italy that year and even the travel agency did not know if they had given me a visa or not. All night our tour operator sat at the embassy for visas. We arrived at the airport and received all the documents, visas were in order. But the nerves frayed. For some reason, visas to Italy are made at the last moment. The probability of non-departure is determined by you. Insurance is not cheap! Natalia.

Good afternoon! A good agent or tour operator will never deal with visas at the last moment. At a minimum, leave 7-10 days before the trip. I have never been insured, although I am in the "risk group")

we went to Italy last year and we were not at all lucky (((and the tour operator had nothing to do with it! because many people from different agencies suffered. The Italian embassy simply did not have time to issue visas and we were given a visa 4 days later ( these days we were in Moscow) and if we had paid this insurance it would not have played its role, because insurance against non-issuance, but they gave us something ... they were just late !!! and take into account the fact that insurance does not cover the entire cost of the tour, and returns only 75%.

Thanks for answers! I hope that I will find out about the visa even before leaving for Moscow, I will try to take a chance, before there were no problems with visas. Or maybe it's not serious on my part ...
