I visited Israel a few years ago, but I still have an unforgettable experience that I would like to share with you.
I spent a week in the city of Netanya, a small calm green cozy resort town, not far from Tel Aviv. In general, this hotel is perfect for those who do not pursue pretentious luxury, but appreciate simplicity, comfort and pleasant service.
However, it seems to me that Israel is a country in which many tourists come not so much for the sake of the sea and the beach, which, you see, are in many resort countries. We are attracted by something more, namely, the opportunity to see the indescribable beauty of holy places, landscapes for every taste (seas and deserts, green forests, mountains, fields, etc. ), people of different nationalities and religious views, an abundance of traditions and customs.
It takes your breath away when you are in Caesarea, with its Roman cardios, monuments to emperors, aqueduct, Crusader city, bird mosaics, etc. , when you learn about the significance of the city from a Christian point of view....
Nazareth, the third most important Christian city after Jerusalem and Bethlehem, evokes a sacred feeling when you see the places where the Virgin Mary heard the Good News in the Catholic Church of the Annunciation and the Orthodox Church of the Archangel Gabriel; the city where Christ spent his childhood and youth, where he read sermons to his disciples, where the famous phrase "there is no prophet in his own country" appeared....
The Dead Sea, the healing properties of which make life easier and save the lives of many people around the world. . . The Mediterranean Sea, whose clear water and soft sand caress your body and make you enjoy life. . . food in shops. . restaurants and cafes. . . for every taste and a wallet). . . kosher food. . . and hearty Arabic dishes. . . cuisines of other nations. . . juicy fruits.... everyone will find something new and unimaginably delicious. . .
the white beauty of Haifa with its most beautiful Bahai gardens in the world, which are famous for their diversity of cultures, and the strict symmetry of their location on the terraces, which is a symbol of the religion of the bais. . .
Jerusalem, the city of passions and three religions, simply hypnotizes with its streets, churches, the Mount of Olives, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where the Golgotha of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is located, Via de la Rosa (the last Way of the Cross of Christ), the Dome of the Rock, on the site of which once was the Garden of Eden, the Wailing Wall....
there are no worthy words to describe the sensations of everything I saw and heard....in short, this is the feeling of touching a three-thousand-year-old culture. . a feeling of purification of the soul and heart. . the desire to be better. .
of course, in order to fully understand the versatility of the Holy Land, you need to visit it an infinite number of times... but even in a week, as you can see, I saw and learned a lot . . and managed to fall in love with Israel and feel like not a stranger, but my own.....
