Where to go when traveling by public transport from Rhodes, about. Rhodes?
Dear visitors and advisers of Turpravda! Thanks for the help. The choice was made in favor of the hotel directly in Rhodes. Arrival report. There will be no car, we will travel by public transport. For those who have had this experience please advise:
1. where to go (while I would like to go to the beach and monastery of Tsambika, Lindos, Rodini), what else would you recommend? Is it better to take an excursion to Prasonisi, or can you get there on your own?
2. How to get from Tsambika beach to the monastery? And where is it better first to the beach or to the monastery?
3. transport routes (where to get from, maybe bus numbers, etc., how long does it take)? Do I need to buy tickets in advance or can I buy directly from the conductor/driver?
4. Do drivers announce stops?

We rode a couple of times on public transport, then we still took the car. I can’t answer all the questions, but what do I know ... I’ll start with the last one. Stops are not announced. Buses run on schedule and with lunch breaks. The schedule is posted at each stop. Route-destination-departure time from this stop. In general, it is not difficult to understand. By time: to Lindos, Tsambika about 1 hour from Rhodes. There is a new Tsambika monastery, and there is an ancient chapel on the top of the mountain. depending on where you want to go. In my opinion, it is better first to the monastery, and then to the beach. I don’t know anything about public transport before Prosonisi, maybe something goes from Rhodes, we lived not far from Lindos. For a trip to Prosonisi, in my opinion, it will be cheaper to cooperate with someone who will be in a car. Cheaper, more comfortable and more fun.

Public transport runs on schedule, without problems in any direction, the schedule changes depending on the season, but there are stops and at the bus station in Rhodes. I personally liked Filerimos, Butterfly Valley, St. Panteleimon Monastery in Sianna and 7 springs. 2, it's better to take a car or the best option is a scooter. And you can go around the whole island - it's worth it!!!

Stops are displayed on the board in the bus, next to the driver. You can drive everywhere, including Prasonisi (I don’t understand what to do with an excursion in Prasonisi, see for yourself at the confluence of 2 seas) ...
