Last year, also in the second half of May, we lived in Crete, in Mitsis Serita. The weather was excellent, we sunbathed beautifully, it seemed cool to enter the water, but we swam in the sea. We rested in Rhodes in 2013 from April 28 to May 10. The weather was warm: during the day +25-28, in the evening around 20-22. The sea on the day of arrival +19, then warmed up to +22. First they swam in the pools, then - in the sea too. The hotel was in Ischia (northwest coast of the island). We went to Lindos (southeast coast) - the sea was much warmer there at that time: there is a smaller and closed bay, an excellent sandy beach. We traveled all over Rhodes, spring is a good time for excursions. As for the wind: Rhodes is known for a pleasant constant breeze, be careful when sunbathing, you can easily get burned, you don’t feel the heat. The wind makes staying on the island very comfortable in the heat.
