From July 3 to July 7, we rested at the Lindos Royal 4 * hotel

The bus from the airport reached the hotel at about 17:00 (Lindos was the second, the rest of the tourists on the bus were traveling south). They settled very quickly - in the main building, room 1604 Superior Suite Sea Viev, and really with a sea view from the high 6th floor, since the rooms on the other side of the corridor overlook the tennis court. On the balcony there is a table and two chairs. The room was cleaned daily: the floor was washed and towels were changed, bed linen was changed every other day.

The food is excellent, a wide choice of meat dishes, a lot of fruits (watermelons, melons, peaches), Greek yogurts...
A la carte dinner is available once per stay. Choice of Greek (Tue, Wed, Thu) and Italian (Fri, Sat, Sun). I recommend Greek, as Italian food in the form of pizza and pasta can be eaten at a regular dinner in a restaurant.
Bars operate by the pools (under the tower and upstairs in Lindos Village).

Day snack bar only in the Village - there you can have a bite to eat with gyros (Greek shawarma in pita), meatballs, nuggets, fish fingers. It is very convenient if you are late for lunch (from 12:30 to 14:30) from an excursion. In the evening, a bar in the central building at the reception.
Every day at the bar new cocktails of the day (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).

Pebble beach with sun loungers and umbrellas a couple of hundred meters from the hotel. Down the stairs from the pools there is a small beach near the rocks.

Animation - in the pools during the day water polo, aqua aerobics, various competitions. There is a mini-club for children, where children from 4 years old are accepted - theoretically, you can leave the child for half a day: the animators go with them to the pools and for lunch. Our child is 2.5 years old, so we went to the mini-club under the supervision of one of the parents.
In the evening, a children's disco in the amphitheater from 20:30 and around 22 hours already shows and competitions for adults.
The main language for animation is French, followed by Italian and Russian.
Excursions - despite those offered by travel agencies at the hotel, it is better to travel on your own: the island is small, and the legends of Ancient Greece from the guide are not very informative.
1) the easiest way is to go to Lindos yourself (5 km from the hotel, taxi 8 euros, bus 1.60 - runs on schedule once an hour. ) In Lindos, a free bus runs from the bus station down to the main square (even though it says 0.50 Euros on the glass). A donkey ride to the Acropolis costs 5 euros one way. Try to visit some tavern on the top of the domia in the old city - a great view of the Acropolis opens up. At night, the rock and the old city are illuminated.
2) the city of Rhodes - the bus costs 4.5 Euro one way. In Rhodes, the old town in the fortress, the port of Mandraki and the embankment leading to the confluence of the two seas of the Aegean and the Mediterranean are recommended for visiting.
3) by car around the island - class A car rental (Fiat Panda, Skoda Fabia, Nissan Micra) for 40 euros per day (65 euros for 2 days, 80 euros for 3 days) naturally not at the hotel. Look for a 2-story building with a Car Rental sign.

In addition to all of the above, the territory of the hotel with swimming pools and bridges is especially impressive. Returning back to the airport, the bus called in several hotels along the coast, nothing like the Lindos Royal / Village was seen anywhere else.
