Crete must be understood - especially the center and the west - it is better to take a hotel in a cheaper way, and to save money - rent a car for a few days. Do not sit on these hotel beaches - how many different places !!! I have been to Crete 7 times already - we are constantly discovering new places (our interest is the beach and water). After these trips, hotel beaches - ... sorry for people who do not understand this: screams, cries, indignation - why? .. It is better to rent diesel for several days - the more days - the cheaper, taking into account diesel, which also cheaper (we got 20 € per day with full fear. And without km limit.)
